The hotel is small and quaint. The location is nice to sit outside in the square. The staff is exceptional and super helpful. The breakfast is worth the price with many options and made to order eggs. Highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Gardena in Venice. The room was lovely and clean, and the front desk staff were wonderful, especially Matteo, who was incredibly helpful with our night-time queries. Breakfast was great, with a good selection of tasty and fresh options. The location is central, making it easy to explore the city. Highly recommend!

The ferry stop and train station are within a 5-minute walk. The bus stop is also within a 10-minute walk, making it a convenient location. There are many shops nearby, making it convenient. Nice clean hotel with plain breakfast I guess typical for Italians. Although the room was in the ground floor by the street it was quiet. I didn't like the size of the room it was very small I struggled to move and I only had a backpack. I didn't like that I had to go in the reception in the next building for what I needed even opening the door outside.

The hotel is clean and beautiful, but we had a separate shower across the street, which had to be locked, making it inconvenient to use. There's no iron, which is also inconvenient for tourists. The breakfast is average, with lots of cookies and pastries, but no eggs.

This was my second stay, first was 2 years ago. Great eating options near by. The ferry to the airport is short walking distance. Front desk of check in location were bilingual and very courteous.

Rooms look old-fancy, with beautiful marble mixed with aging but intricate wood finishes. Functionally, totally fine, and I’m sure the old-fancy style is standard for Venice. No elevator, of course, for our second-story room. Staff was responsive but no front desk presence is in the building. Hallways/stairs were dark when we left early in the morning.

The staff were extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating and really contributed to what was a pleasant stay. The location was conveniently close to the train station, and was right on the canal with many dining options. Magnificent location just between Realto and S.Marco Square. Vaporetto stop in 3 minutes’ walk to Grand Channel. On the photo - breakfast view (yes, directly to the channel). Small rooms (as anywhere in Venice), in our room was unpleasant odor, but staff did their best and in a few minutes we mooved to the nearest room without any problems. Staff is really best. Strongly recommend the hotel!

Having breakfast included was a definite plus. Being an older building, the lack of an elevator and the condition of the plumbing were a slight concern. However, its very close proximity to St. Mark's Square and a Vaporetto station was a huge help.

Good location between the St Marco square and Rialto. Price was reasonable for Venice. Inexpensive and Michelin star resturants nearby. No elevator. Tight toilet, sink and shower in the 2 person room. 4 person rooms had plenty of space. Note many hotels in Venice are old homes converted a long time ago.

The staff were friendly, but the facilities were quite old. The bedding was clean, but the heater was dusty, and the bathroom constantly leaked. If the location is good and you can afford this facility, I'd recommend staying for a night or so.

It was only one night, but it was enough. The carpets were dirtier than anything else. I asked for a large bed and they gave me two small ones. It smelled very damp. The lobby was in the restaurant, and to get to the room, you had to go outside and walk about 100 meters. The mattress sagged just by looking at it. There were no blinds, and a lot of light came in.

Considering the location, service, and other factors, it was a good price overall. It's very conveniently located near the Salute boat stop. The area is also home to many locals, so it's quiet and safe. The boat stop and supermarket are both within a 5-minute walk! When booking a room, I recommend booking one on the first floor or higher, not the ground floor.

The place is okay, nothing extravagant. Small, old rooms but decent services. I enjoyed the breakfast there, its not the biggest selection of food, but its just enough to find something that you'll enjoy and some nice coffee to start the day. Its a good place to stay in Venice if you don't want to spend lots of money on other fancier places.

Just looked at so many negative reviews here. I lived during Dec 2019. The rooms were a bit old but that's not a problem. I didn't have any problems sleeping there. I'm pretty sure there's breakfast too. The best part is the location which is right next to a canal.

Our booking to Hotel Canal changed to Hotel Amadeus despite our reservation confirmation. In Hotel Amadeus, the luminisce in the room was low, No Shampoo, No electric water heating Kettle, not perfectly clean, no dinner service.No body-wash hanger it was lying on the floor. Its very near to the drop off point for the waterbus which is pretty convenient especially if you’re carrying heavy luggage. The property has basic amenities and makes for a decent stay.
