Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo West in Sapporo

We were a family of 3. Room was spacious enough for our 3 luggages. TV also had information regarding the status of the onsen and washing machine which was a nice touch. The counter staff also spoke good English and were generally very helpful. The free drinks in the lounge and bottled water in the room were very welcome too.

About a 5-minute walk from JR, with a convenient store nearby, it's super handy. Rokkatei is right across the street, and it's only a 4-minute walk to the Hokkaido Red Brick Government Building. From 3 PM to 11 PM, they offer complimentary afternoon tea, coffee, and snacks. The overall design of the space is excellent.

This hotel is only a 10-minute walk from Sapporo JR Station and 6 minutes from Daimaru Department Store. The location is excellent.

The price is definitely higher than hotels in Otaru, almost double. Since I had an early flight, I didn't get to try their breakfast.

I especially want to commend the two male receptionists who checked us in and out. Their English was impeccable and very clear, and they proactively asked if we had any other questions.

There's only one restroom in the lobby, so if you're in a hurry, it's better to go to your room.

Quick tip: Mitsui and Mitsui Garden are two separate hotels right next to each other, so don't get them confused!

Excellent location, just 10 mins walk from Sapporo Station, overnight parking available and fee not expensive.

The location is very convenient, and the hotel is clean. The breakfast was just okay, with limited options. Its main advantage is really the convenient location, with two convenience stores nearby making it easy to buy things. Taking the JR is even more convenient. There's a public bath, but it's not a hot spring.

The location is fantastic, just some minutes walk from Sapporo station. From the hotel, it is easy to reach to other places such as Susukino on foot. The room and hotel are fantastic, clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. They even offer free snack bar with lots of soft drinks, coffee and cookies that you can use as much as you want during the day and night. Highly recommended and will definitely be back in the future!

The room was quite spacious, and the facilities were very new. The cleanliness was excellent, and my request for a high-floor, quiet room was met perfectly. 👍
The yukata (Japanese robes) are one-size-fits-all but run a bit large for adults, while the children's yukata are very small (roughly size 120), barely fitting my son. 😂 The bedding at Mitsui is, as always, incredibly comfortable; I slept soundly every night.
Our room was cleaned daily, and for three guests, they replenished three bottles of water each day. We'd also ask for skincare products at the front desk when we returned in the evenings. I didn't get to use the public bath due to my period, but I heard it only has one pool.
The location is quite close to Sapporo Station, though dragging luggage through the snow on the first night was a bit of a hassle. Highly recommended! The only minor drawback is that the bathroom isn't separated into wet and dry areas, but other than that, there's nothing I disliked. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Sapporo!

The room was spacious, and the extra bed made it comfortable even with a child. Coming from the JR station, you have to walk outside for a bit, and it was a bit slippery with ice on the road due to the snow. It's very convenient for Daimaru, and Rokkatei is right across the street. Hokkaido University is about a ten-minute walk away. Overall, it's convenient, and the price wasn't too expensive for the Snow Festival. For women's facial cleansing/makeup remover, you need to ask the front desk separately.

Location: From Exit S1 of Apia Underground Shopping Street, it's just two traffic lights away, about a two to three-minute walk on the surface. The location is great.
Service: My child wanted to take a bath, but the cleaning staff had already left for the day. A handsome guy with big eyes at the front desk re-cleaned the bathtub for us. We really appreciate it!
Cons: The breakfast selection is limited and not tasty! My 2-year-old could only fill up on pasta every day.
