I love and use the Royal Park Hotel series everywhere. It's new, so the rooms are clean, the lounge is spacious, guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, and there are plenty of amenities that make women happy, so you'll want to stay here again and again. Plus, the lounge's large screen displays videos of representative Japanese cities, so you can enjoy them during your break. You can check the occupancy of the large shared bath and laundry facilities on the in-room TV in advance, so you can spend your time comfortably and conveniently.

I stayed for four nights using their opening campaign. It's right next to Nijo Station, so it's very convenient for getting around by train or taxi. The large public bath is on the first floor, and you can take the elevator from your room and go directly to the bath without going through the lobby. Wearing pajamas is allowed. There were a lot of young people, so it seemed to get crowded after 9 pm. If you go earlier, you can use it almost like having it all to yourself. I had a plan that included breakfast, but it was a set menu and basically the same every day, so I got tired of it. There was a Komeda Coffee across from the hotel, so I thought maybe I should have skipped breakfast and gone there instead.

Location was perfect, located right beside Nijo station and a 10 min walk to Nijo castle. Room was big for Japan standard. Would stay again!

It was an amazing stay and we were sad to leave. Had the room with a view and enjoyed it so much. Rooms were big and beds were so comfortable. We especially enjoyed the free drinks bar - which had carbonated water, water, teas, matcha latte, coffees & lattes, and hot chocolate. I will stay here again.

The location is super convenient, close to both JR and subway Nijo stations. If you're heading to Amanohashidate, you can easily take the JR from Nijo round trip, and it's a direct 10-minute ride to Kyoto Station. For shopping in the Kawaramachi area, the subway is right there, and it's generally easy to get to various attractions.
The hotel facilities are also quite sufficient, with a large public bath and a gym located on the 1st floor.
There are two large supermarkets nearby, along with various convenience stores and chain restaurants.
If you want to avoid large crowds of tourists, this is an excellent choice!

This was my third stay here, and I'm already quite familiar with the place, feeling completely at home. Every day, I'd head out for some coffee or matcha, then come back for another drink. In the evenings, the lobby was quiet enough for me to work on emails. The location is super convenient with plenty of supermarkets nearby. KOMEDA is right across the street, and there are tons of restaurants in the Sannjo-kai area, plus many cafes. The room size was sufficient, clean, and well-equipped. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Kyoto!

Stayed for three nights during the autumn leaves season. Although the price was several times higher due to the holidays, overall it was pretty good. The best part is how convenient it is to get to Arashiyama; the subway station is right across the street from the hotel entrance. I booked the cheapest room, and there's nothing much to say about it – it's small but has everything you need. For breakfast, I recommend going early as they're not always super quick to restock (there's not a huge variety, but it's still better than convenience store options).

The location is great, right across from Nijo Station. It's easy to get to Shijo by bus. We had breakfast at places around the hotel, and there were both Western and Chinese options. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.
