The hotel was more than I expected. As soon as you get in the outside noise disappears. It has a big eating area and even a spot where you can make your own matcha tea.
The hotel was clean and the room was spacious, quiet, and private. The staff is welcoming and helpful. They also speak English. Great location with many coffee shops and restaurants near by. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay there next time I am in the city.
Bonus point... I got a beautiful towel arrangement on my birthday.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the room! The location is very convenient, the facilities are complete, it's clean, and the service is excellent. Our plans changed last minute and we needed to switch room types, and the hotel quickly helped us resolve the issue! We're very pleased and will definitely stay here again next time we visit Kyoto.

The large room exceeded my expectations. The master bedroom has a sliding door that separates it from the entrance, providing excellent privacy and a very Japanese feel. There's also a FamilyMart right next to the hotel, which is super convenient for late-night snacks and breakfast!

This is my favorite hotel thus far across the 5 hotels I've stayed in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. It gives you the "zen" feeling and services are great.
We booked the room without breakfast, but the grab and go (bread, waffles, milk, tea, coffee, etc.) they provided are already sufficient for a quick breakfast before travelling around.
I personally also like the smell of the shampoo and conditioner they gave (light tea smell).

Check-in was a breeze, and having an English-speaking front desk made communication smooth. It's also not too far from the main attractions. Overall, pretty good. The price was quite reasonable for the off-season, which was a plus. Plus, there's a convenience store right next door, which is super handy.

Nice hotel. There is a station for you to make matcha. Comfortable for 2 adult and 1 kid.

I had a great stay at Agora Kyoto Karasuma. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed with a minimalist Japanese style that feels both modern and cozy. The location is perfect, close to transportation, shops, and great local restaurants, which made getting around Kyoto very convenient.
The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose Agora Kyoto Karasuma again on my next visit to Kyoto.
