Field Hakone Resort in Hakone

My wife and I had a great experience here. The accommodations were very clean, modern with nice equipment, and very cozy with cute decor. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. They provided valuable recommendations and were responsive to messages. The location is very charming and was our favorite in Hakone. We will stay here again in the future.

The owners gave us the warmest welcome after arriving late and after a long day of traveling. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Love the big bathtub for soaking after a long day of travel. The room has a tatami floor area with a little table and chairs which is quite nice. There is a laundromat too!

Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Run by a very kind couple who took excellent care of us and even offered to take our luggage to our next stay nearby.

Hosts are so nice and speak English as well. The rooms are spacious and have little trinkets. Bathrooms are nice and clean. I don’t have anything bad to say at all. Absolutely perfect!! Thank you

Such a cozy and awesome spot. Hosts were SO helpful right from when the moment I booked this hotel in advance. Made sure I knew how to get there, what to expect and even helped us out when our plans potentially got changed last minute. Also have good parking if your driving here and also give you step by step on how to get there with public transport. Highly recommend and would stay again if anyone wants to go to Fun2Drive.

Not far from the bus stop (we caught a bus from Tokyo to Hakone). In a nice, quiet neighborhood. Very Japanese -- a place for our shoes, they cleaned out luggage wheels in the lobby and carried our luggage up stairs. No elevator. No breakfast offered. There was a nice dining (tatami area) in our room. The electric kettle came in handy. The nice staff member at the front desk gave us an excellent overview of what to do and see. With rain predicted the next day, he advised us to take the rope way and cable car so we caught a bus to the lake. No time to rest.

Field Hakone was just what we were looking for. We wanted to be a little bit away from the hustle and bustle and stay in something Japanese style. The Field Hakone felt integrated with the quiet community and only a 7 minute walk to the bus station. Keep in mind, the accommodations are very simple and if I could suggest anything, it would be better sound proofing as I could hear the neighbors muffled talking and some faint snoring. It wasn’t a major issue but thought I’d mention to set expectations. The staff was beyond amazing and the place so clean. They even wiped off the wheels of our suitcases. When we arrived, they spent ample time helping us understand all the great things to do. During our two night stay, anytime we had a question whether it was which bus stop to go to a destination or where to eat, they were over the top helpful. As an example when we decided to go to the Korean BBQ restaurant (which was excellent), they pulled their car around to drop us a short distance because it was dark and a little rainy. If you are up for a clean, basic accommodation with wonderful service, this is your place!

Very comfortable and cozy place. Clean and great facilities. Owners are helpful also. Although there is no provision of fooding, they provide microwave, toaster and vending machine for drinks.
