Apa Hotel Sugamo Ekimae in Tokyo

Had an amazing stay at this hotel, probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in my life! Everything was so spotless and clean. The amenities included where great also. The public bath was a bonus. The staff were happy to let me drop my bag before check in. Also very close access to Yosemite line to get to all the main sights in Tokyo. Only negative was I could have done with an extra pillow but I'm sure I would have got one if I asked.

Great room for the price. Bathroom very nice and also has indoor and outdoor onsen on the top floor.

Great location only 1 minute walk away from subway and 5 minute walk away from JR sugamo station. Very easy to get to shinjuku and shibuya

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this APA hotel for 6 days. The room was small but enough, bed was comfortable and the shower was just right. The onsen on the 14th floor was so relaxing! The location was also really great, not too busy but with enough restaurants and shopping nearby. The best part of our stay was the hotel staff. They really accommodated us with helpful check-in/check-out and holding our luggage so that we could enjoy our time more. Thank you so much APA!

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Initially we were put in a smoking room, but luckily we could switch to another room.

It was a very small room, but it seems normal in Tokyo. It would be handy if we could store our luggage somewhere, since this was not possible under the bed and was always in the way...

Other than that it was a great stay, great open bath and very nice staff. It is at a great location that is only a few minutes away from the JR line. There are a few konbinis and even a 24/7 supermarket closeby, so you can still get some quick groceries at 3 AM if you wish. Definitely would go back here if we go back to Japan!

So I veiw my vacations as exploration mini adventures, so I try to be in the room as little a possible. Location is right by the train station which is the number one reason i choosea hotel. The second is the included onsen which is so nice after 25,000÷ steps daily. Things seem to be quiet at night. My biggest problem is that the convenience store closest to us is small and the station nearest to us doesn't have as much as many of the other stations. however... that's also a blessing as it's a much easier station to navigate. I got lost 5 times in the kyoto station and haven't gotten lost once yet here in sugamo. I do wish there were more hangers and better storage options to make the small room easier to navigate with suitcases. The rooms are bigger and we have a twin room and can set our suitcases to the side, but our beds don't have the ability to store luggage underneath like some of the other apa hotels we stayed at. Also.... if purchasing online from agoda/ priceline, make sure to print out and take the confirmation email out as apa login machine seems to always have a hard time finding our reservation and the clerks always have to struggle a few minutes with our printed out confirmation number. But after that it's always smooth sailing.

Mighty close to Sugamo station and bus stops. Lot of restaurants and shops nearby too.

Great location. 3-5 min to JR, Subway. A lot of convenient store (7-11, lawson, family mart), supermarket (seiyu, samitto) around. Calm neighborhood.
Small room but clean and full of amenities, elevator a little bit slow.

Loved this place so much that we are staying here again during our next scheduled trip!
Staff is very friendly and helpful! Rooms are clean and the laundry available is super awesome! Very close to a lot of convenient stores and the JR line.
