The room is average, but the service staff's attitude is great!

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, breakfasts are continental style with plenty of juice, coffee and tea. Beds were too firm for us, woke with painful joints, also Internet was a bit hit and miss, it was very busy at times and this may have contributed. Overall we enjoyed the visit and would recommend the hotel for budget conscious travelers.

NICE STAFF, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE All the staff was EXTREMELY nice, everyone made an extra effort for us to be happy and content. Mahmoud, one of the staff happily helped us when we had an issue with our door and even left us a cute surprise in the room waiting for us. I would come here just to see these nice people again!! Great hotel. The location is very near to downtown Aqaba and the main shopping/"nightlife" boulevard. The beach is also in walking distance although I would suggest a resort for a beach holiday as the city beach is rather dirty. Breakfast is good for Jordanian standards. The location is great and the view is nice but my room wasn’t very clean and they couldn’t provide basic amenities, like a toothbrush. Not bad to stay in for a night or two. Within walking distance to Petra and lots of restaurants.

Petra hasn't had many tourists lately, and there were only three of us staying at the hotel. I guess the management is a bit lax, because the room wasn't very clean. They prepared breakfast especially for us, and it was quite plentiful.

It's very close University of Jordan and a lot of restaurants around area.

The staff were very kind and helpful. However, one bathroom has a water leak, the stove never heats up water effectively, and the kitchen utensils and tools are not clean and not enough to rely on for cooking.

The location is very convenient as it is located right near the downtown area. The cleanliness of the room is acceptable, but be careful about the shared toilet and shower.

Beautiful location at the top of a very big hill with a lovely outdoor patio to enjoy the lights at night. Very close to Petra. The rooms are a little worn and shabby but very clean. Wonderful friendly staff and a reasonable price.

I had the best birthday possible in this hotel . The staff made sure they left no preparation behind at midnight ,with cake and decoration and the glorious Petra behind. Next to main entrance to Petra, beautifull view. Top service, we went to petra at 6:00 they made a breakfast box that we picked up at 5:30 and every questions gets answered. Working airconditioning and fast wifi. View in the restaurant also beautifull( didnt eat there, only breakfast). Big parking in front. Yes it is a bit old butt it will fullfill your needs (okay maybe a pool would be nice:p)

Really not much connection to the movie Oscar, but it was an interesting experience. The lobby is furnished with ultra ornate furniture. Service was good, as were the dinner and breakfast buffets.

Everything was comfortable. The reception staff were very good, especially The Egyptian Mr. Fayz who works at the café, thank you very much to him. The hotel location is excellent, with the sea in front of you and markets and restaurants beside you, so you don't need to rent a car.

The hotel is in a great location. You can see the sea from the room. It is very close to Aqaba Fort, museums, mosques, snack bars, cafes and restaurants. You can reach them on foot, which is very convenient.

Regency hotel and Grand palace hotel are in same premises ,with big spacious rooms with all facilities. Hotel is very neat and clean. Staff is very polite, helpful and friendly.

Centrally located such that most of the key locations of Amman are easily reachable within 15 to 20 minutes. Clean rooms. The property is old but decently maintained. Guests may avail of all the facilities (pool, gym, restaurant, and so on) of the adjoining 5-star hotel.

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel, clean rooms, they have bath tub, one can soak in with dead sea salt available at reasonable price around the reception area, rooms are spacious, good Wi-Fi network, the bar is good and reasonable, market is 5 mins walking distance so is bus and taxi service, ATM in close vicinity, buffet breakfast has good spread, overall the stay was nice and comfortable

We really liked La Riva’s location. Across the street and a few steps from the hotel there is a long row of Shisha cafés right on the waterfront. The Aqaba Fort and the Arab Revolt Plaza are just a 5-minute walk away, and the walkway along the public beach is just beyond. Nicely located in an area with a lot of shopping and dining opportunities. Perfect if you plan to be in this area of Amman. Staff was very nice and attentive, buffet breakfast was good.

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite which is always nice. Unfortunately the A/C in the living room in that suite was not working but the one in the bedroom did so that was not a huge problem. My first time in Jordan and stayed here. The hotel itself was located about a 2 minute walk from shops, bars and restaurants so location was great. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were great, answering all our questions about location, area and attractions etc. I would recommend.

Great experience. Staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel lobby was a true boutique experience. I was upgraded to a suite. The rooms are newly renovated and are super clean. It is one of the most beautiful hotels in Petra that you can stay in, as it has a sufficient number of friendly staff to serve you and the rooms were clean. The breakfast contains many varieties and the girl who makes the omelets is experienced. They served us a local dinner and it was delicious. It is a great hotel and has a park. I recommend it to everyone.

Great spot! Worth the value! Really good location to start my visit to the ruins the next day. Rooftop views to die for. The air conditioning and fan made for a nice cool sleep. A small hotel right next to the road opposite the ancient plains of the old Roman city. The conditions are minimal, but there is a toilet and shower in the room + Wi-Fi. Everything was also clean, the owner was very hospitable. I recommend it, don't be afraid, it's 3 minutes to the entrance to the Jerash. The photos on the website correspond to reality, the only detail 😅

Really great place. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed. In terms of cleanliness, it's perfect. The staff was constantly cleaning elevators, floors etc. etc. and it really looked great. Swimming pool on the top was also great; I spent most of my time around it. I will definitely use it on my next visit to Aqaba

If you are looking for an excellent near 24/7 spots location, this is the one. Add to that a clean 1980s style of hotel that you can tell it has seen better days with lovely staff and cozy feeling plus warm service that meets basic needs for a good price. Breakfast is just few dishes, very basic and not tempting, ask to see availabe rooms since they have different rooms with different windows and views

Room was old, but clean. Noise in the foyer was heard until 12:00 in our room on the first foor. There were people talking loudly, and we could here this. Other noises were annoying. Wifi was weak, to non-existent. Breakfast was okay. Could have some fruit and more egg options. Maybe they can update, then things. Good luck!

It's in a great location and the price is reasonable for the property, but there's a lot to be done about the quality. The rooms are very basic; I've seen two, and unfortunately, I've noticed the following problems: a dirty toilet from the previous guest, still with excrement; the bed has only a bottom sheet, and a blanket on top that's washed who knows how often; the television doesn't work, and dripping...

For the price, you get a good, renovated room. The staff is more than good.
