I had a quick check on booking.com to see if my review was there but it turns out it wasn't! After my wonderful experience at Petra Night Hotel I'd feel like a thief if I didn't give them the review they deserved! I stayed here for a few days in December and it saved my Jordan trip (no exaggeration). I'd left Amman with some sour opinions so I wasn't expecting much. To my pleasant surprise, I was greeted...

I highly recommend the staff member Ali. The rooms are very beautiful and spotlessly clean. Everything was available in the room, and check-in and check-out were quick. The receptionist Bilal was extremely helpful and provided us with useful information. Thank you to the hotel for the wonderful stay.

It is very close to downtown Amman and has a good location. The hotel is close to the road and there is a large slope. It is unrealistic and very hard to walk there with suitcases. Cars can park on the roadside. This hotel might be more appropriately called a hotel.

Our room was comfortable even though a bit small with all the furniture, well equipped, but with view of messy rooftop and some construction site. Staff was helpfull, breakfast was good. We forgot a tshirt in the room and contacted after the visit the hotel but got not clear answer.

For what it cost, The Strand is absolutely fine. The staff were helpful and the rooms a good size. Somewhat dated decor but clean. Food rather basic and uninsipring but fine. The location was ok for us but a taxi ride to anwhere significant in Amman. If looking for a budget, adequate hotel, this would be perfect.

Hotel is very basic, the house keeping is not great, no extra towels when we asked for one. Never filled up the tea and coffee. No veg options for breakfast and dinner. But clean and reasonable price

Very nice hotel located 3mins away from Petra visitor center, comfy beds, good buffet breakfast, very attentive staff. They have an agreement with the local Turkish hammam an if you book through them you get a 5JD discount per person, a must before or after walking Petra for hours! Would def stay again here!

Convenient location. 5 minutes from the entrance to Petra. Nice, clean room. You can leave your luggage upon checkout and pick it up in the evening if you plan to visit Petra that day.

Aircon constantly cut out even when set on a long duration. Very hard to sleep in the hot room.

We loved our stay here and found the hotel staff the best. Food was superb and RAFA & kitchen prepared a wonder meal fit for kings just for the four of us. We were thrilled. Boyfriend and I stayed here two nights as part of an Intrepid tour to visit Petra. We were a group of six, including our guide, and we were literally the only people staying in this hotel. Very old hotel. Water in showers not hot depending on the time. Not hot in the jacuzzi either. Heating in the rooms has a limited temperature. Food is ok, but no drinks (not even water) included in the meals, which is a shame. There are better options in the town.

It’s not even close to 5 star hotel. It’s a solid 4 star hotel: old, not really clean, staff isn’t helpful enough. But breakfast was still various and tasty.

The food quality was as good as a 3-star hotel, not as wide varieties as you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Same food every day. Water in the bathroom wasn't strong. I can't imagine I enjoyed the bath in my rented home more than it! Room cards didn't always work in the elevators! The hotel staff was good, though.

Room was clean and nice, no towels on arrival but quickly delivered by the staff, free parking in front, good for one night stay. Breakfast could be better, more options for tourists and better quality. The pool area and gym could be better, as there are no sunbeds or anything to sit, while gym seems to be a maintenance storage with some construction going on.

The room was very good. They have a restaurant on the rooftop with a nice overview from the whole city and food at a very good price. Not many options on the menu, but as we were super tired we decided to stay in and have dinner there anyway. The breakfast is good. They also have an indoor pool that we didn't have time to enjoy.

This hotel was in the perfect location for my needs. My room was clean and comfortable and the owners were very friendly. They even invited me into their home to drink tea with them. 😊 There is a lovely Terrace at the top for relaxing, drinking coffee and eating breakfast. Okay it’s not soo bad. The owner is really nice and thoughtful. You have the option of shared bathroom or take private bathroom. Yes the shower isn’t the warmest water. And the rooms are kind of cold. But if you need something just ask and he will help. Also great breakfast and common space. It’s budget accommodation ya know!

The hotel is on a hillside and very quiet, but the surrounding restaurants are a few hundred meters away. When I stayed there during the special period, there were only 14 people.
