Flamingo Hotel in Karakol

A great option for those who just need a place to sleep and have breakfast. I stayed in a four-bed room (alone). The shower and toilet were shared, but literally three steps away. There was never a line, and it felt like I was the only one using them.

The room had beds, a hanger, and two stools. It lacked a closet, shelves, or even a table. I put my things on the bed next to mine, but if the beds were occupied, it would feel cramped precisely because there was nowhere to put even the most essential items.

Breakfast was included in the room rate. On different days, it was an omelet, oatmeal with milk and dried fruit, or something like a layered pie with cabbage and carrots. Fruit, tea/coffee, and freshly baked biscuits, cheese, vegetables, fresh bread, jam, and honey were always on the table. I don't eat porridge with milk, and I don't like cabbage or carrots, but I never went hungry.

I really liked the location: on a quiet street, but within walking distance of the Globus supermarket, Pizza Empire, other cafes, and a dozen equipment rental shops. The minibus stop to the bus station is also nearby.

A very friendly and helpful host. It was a pleasure to chat with him in the evenings.

Wonderful, family run hotel, within walking distance from the center of Karakol. Perfect facilities ... and (what we especially enjoyed), the host is a superb cook. I can recommend this pleasant and friendly hotel to everyone.

Nice guest house with a great view on the mountains. The owner and her children are really nice. And she is a great cooker. I really enjoyed my time there.
