Reviews
Four Season Kuala Lumpur, it is good but not up to the 5 star luxury hotel standard - at most 4 stars and does not worth the price.
Lobby sofa has obvious big stains; our room shower has moulds on the wall; the bath tub faucet handle are loose; room wallpaper is peeling off; basin soup bottle is either broken or the cap area has black stain; during breakfast, waiters ignore my 11 years old daughter request twice even they just stood next to her.
Overall Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 star)
I checked into the Four Seasons based on my trust in the brand, but my experience at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur completely shattered my perception. The actions of certain front desk staff made me feel blatant discrimination, and the hotel's internal mismanagement and unfulfilled promises led to a very unpleasant end to my entire vacation.
1. Discriminatory Treatment and Extremely Unprofessional Service from Front Desk Staff
During my stay, an Indian male front desk employee (unfortunately, I didn't get his name at the time, but I took a photo and remember him vividly) displayed an appalling attitude. His coldness and impatience were completely at odds with the warm and attentive service expected from a five-star hotel. What was most unacceptable was that on our check-out day, when we had a few hundred ringgits of additional expenses that required a signature on the confirmation slip, he handed us the document and told us to "find a pen ourselves." Although he eventually got one for us when he saw we couldn't find one, this extremely dismissive, even insulting gesture made me feel deeply disrespected. Furthermore, for a front desk staff member at an international five-star hotel, his English communication skills were surprisingly poor and his accent very strong, severely hindering basic information exchange.
2. Internal Mismanagement and Open Breach of Promises to Guests
If discrimination is a matter of individual character, then the hotel's internal management failures are even more inexcusable. On the morning of our check-out day, we specifically confirmed with a Caucasian front desk employee at breakfast that we could continue to use the hotel's gym and pool area lounge after our 12 PM check-out, so we could comfortably arrange our time before departure. However, when we checked out on time, the front desk (the Indian front desk staff) abruptly refused to provide the previously promised facilities, citing "you have already checked out." This inconsistent and contradictory approach is not just a simple breach of trust, but an extreme disrespect for our time. We adjusted our plans based on the hotel's promise, only to be forced to leave in embarrassment and helplessness.
3. Advice for Other Travelers and Suggestions for the Hotel
We paid a hefty sum for a two-night stay and additional expenses, expecting consistent, professional, and respectful service, but instead received differential treatment and broken promises. This front desk employee's attitude and the hotel's casual approach to promises have completely tarnished the Four Seasons brand image in my eyes.
· To other travelers: If you value equal, respectful service and the reliability of promises, please choose this place with caution. You might end up with an unpleasant memory due to the individual actions of some staff members.
· To hotel management: This is by no means a minor issue. It exposes serious gaps in your staff training (especially service awareness and equal respect), front desk English proficiency assessment, and internal communication procedures. One employee's poor attitude can tarnish the efforts of the entire team, and an unfulfilled promise can permanently lose a guest's trust. Please thoroughly investigate and rectify these issues.
I will not recommend this hotel to any friends, and until I receive a formal and reasonable explanation and apology from the hotel management regarding this incident, I will absolutely not stay here again.

Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
The chicken curry was superb, with a juicy chicken that fall of the bone, in a nice creamy and thick curry sauce.
The curry Laksa was full loaded of meat and vegetables.
The Restaurants have a nice decor and they are able to handle big groups.
Overall: very good chefs, very good service, but management apparently views this as just another hotel restaurant. It could be much, much more.
