The night view of the Petronas Twin Towers was amazing! They also added an extra bed, which was a nice touch. Check-in was on the L floor, right at the top, and there's a separate elevator to get to the rooms.

The room was spacious enough, with a sofa bed, so three people could stay comfortably without needing an extra bed, and the kids actually preferred the sofa bed. Being on a higher floor, the view was great. Even though it wasn't a room with a 'tower view,' the front desk and restaurant on the top floor more than made up for it.

Before checking in, I was a little nervous after reading some mixed reviews, but after staying, I thought it was excellent! For this price and the amenities, the value for money is outstanding. You can enjoy a view of the Twin Towers from the 38th floor, and it's just a 10-minute walk to Pavilion and Suria KLCC, making it super convenient for getting around. Of course, having to transfer elevators in the lobby to get to the rooms was a slight inconvenience, but it didn't really waste much time and was totally acceptable. If I visit Kuala Lumpur again, I would definitely stay here. I left with a great impression.

For this trip to the Grand Hyatt, I booked two room types. The Tower View Deluxe Room offers partial views of the Twin Towers at night from the bed and sofa, but you need to walk right up to the floor-to-ceiling windows for a full panoramic view. The breakfast restaurant is on the 38th floor, offering 360-degree high-altitude views, which makes dining there a real pleasure. You can choose your own fruits to blend into a juice, which is a nice touch. The hot chocolate is also delicious, and they freshly prepare local ginger milk tea. While other offerings aren't top-notch, the variety is definitely a plus.

The hotel's overall ambiance and service were excellent. The lobby on the 38th floor offers fantastic views of the Petronas Twin Towers, and many guests were taking photos there. My room was on a higher floor, spacious, and had floor-to-ceiling windows with a wide-open view. The hotel's location is superb; it's just a 10-15 minute walk via a sky bridge to Pavilion, making it very convenient for shopping and dining.

The service was almost non-existent. There was no welcome fruit or turn-down service, and I had to go downstairs myself to pick up food deliveries. The elevators were incredibly confusing; to go down one floor, you first had to go all the way up to the lobby on the top floor, then switch elevators to get to the ground level – it was a ridiculous hassle. The room had a thousand lights and a thousand scattered switches, so I had to run all over the place just to turn them off. The only positives were its direct view of the Petronas Towers and its very convenient location. The breakfast was also good.

The hotel has a great location, and the lobby on the 40th floor (the top floor) is really unique. The rooms are very clean and distinctive. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, and they even have Chinese-speaking customer service representatives.

Facilities: The facilities are a bit old. I booked a non-smoking room, but there were obvious cigarette burn holes on the sofa. Overall it's okay.

Environment: This is definitely worth talking about. The view is absolutely unbeatable, especially from the lobby and the bar/restaurant where you can see the Petronas Towers and the PH Tower. It's truly beautiful.
