Terrible check-in experience! I arrived around 2:20 PM, waited, and did a pre-check-in. I was told to wait until 3:00 PM to get my room number. Okay, no problem. But at 3:00 PM, I was left standing there for way too long because the system still hadn’t assigned me a room. I have never seen anything like this before.
Staff behavior & neutrality:
Being very tall (2 meters/6'7") and of African descent, I was constantly stared at and watched like a hawk by the servers at the public buffet restaurant. Fortunately, I am very confident and comfortable in my own skin, but otherwise, some people would definitely feel discriminated against or feel like their presence was bothering the staff. Personally, I just didn't care.
I also received several comments about my height. Again, I take it as people paying attention to me, but it would be much better if the staff remained 100% neutral. Not everyone appreciates comments about their appearance, even when they are meant to be positive.
The Buffet Timing:
On my very first day at 3:45 PM, I wanted to go to the buffet, but I was told it was already closed. Closing 15 minutes ahead of schedule? Not cool.
The Positives:
Staff: Aside from the staring, the staff is actually very kind, helpful, polite, and attentive.
Food: The food selection is very rich. I tested the Mexican and Asian restaurants, and both were delicious.
The Room: My room offered an exceptional view of the Caribbean Sea. It was very well-equipped with everything you need, including a fully stocked fridge (drinks and water), a hair dryer, pajamas, hand/shower gel, etc.
Conclusion:
An excellent stay overall. It is a complete resort, but they really need to fix the check-in process and train the staff to be more mindful of guest privacy and neutrality.

Dining options are plentiful with several restaurants to choose from (reservations are required), and the bars offer a wide variety of drinks. The café is also a must-visit.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. This isn’t a massive, party-centric resort — it’s better suited for travelers looking to relax and enjoy the beach in a more laid-back atmosphere. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be refreshing the rooms and hallways, as they’re starting to show their age.

One of my fav spots during my time in Cancun and I stayed at 5 different places. Super fun vibes highly recommended and the rooms were magical the view unreal and the restaurants and shows perfect atmosphere.

Hotel is nice , clean , have a beautiful sunset view. Have a different buffet and restaurant to choose from, many bars ) really comfortable stay .

Very, very happy with the dinner we had here, as opposed to the Surfin Burrito. The only restaurant that would be worth a 2nd trip, with a NOTE: check your bill! We were over-charged in 2 of 5 restaurants we ate at in Cancun, this being one. A service fee was also added to our bill (party of 4).
Vegetarian & vegan friendly, though vegan options aren't marked. The price is similar to what you'd pay in the US for dinner. The patio is overgrown with plants & lit with lanterns; lovely. Indoor seating available. Bathrooms not the cleanest.
The veggie enchiladas came recommended, but disappointing (bland, came COVERED in cheese); the creamy spinach pasta we had was amazing (we added chicken, $4 USD); pineapple shrimp fried rice (no complaints, though Mexican style is wet).

Good option if the famous neighbor next to it is packed. This restaurant has a very cozy ambient and food is good. Pricey for basic Mexican food, but on this region, you can not find much better.

Great food and value. Ok service (tip is included in the bill so I guess they don't have to try very hard). Juices are great and one of the few places in the hotel zone to get healthy eats.

Located in the middle of the hotel zone, this place is not strictly vegetarian, but there is a small vegetarian menu. I came here for dinner and it wasn’t crowded. Staff is okay.
I ordered the vegetarian tacos, which is a bunch of vegetables in a whole wheat tortilla. You get three of them with a side of guacamole.
Overall, they really are just okay. Little seasoning with a random selection of salsas. I’ve come to accept that Mexico doesn’t do vegetarian food well.
