We have had a lovely 10 day stay at Emporio Cancun. The food was absolutely fantastic. Prepared freshly and beautifully. Clear they take great efforts on hygiene etc and no tummy upsets even though we ate all available options of food and drink. Staff very friendly and attentive. Reception staff very helpful, helped me order something from Mexican amazon to the hotel with no problems at all and friendliness. There are areas of the hotel that are potentially slightly worn and building work currently in progress, we feel the new central bar area will be a great asset as would be nice to have a larger drink area for morning time after breakfast and then before/ after evening meal! But hotel generally kept very clean, we saw deep cleaning happening all around the hotel constantly, cleaning of steps, metal work, extractors as well as a beautifully and respectfully cleaned bedroom everyday by the maids. We thought for a 4 star hotel it was very good and can’t understand a lot of the negative reviews !

Mine and my partners experience here was extremely positive. We didn’t go all inclusive so can’t comment on the food etc, but the hotel and service we received was great, the hotel was very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The private beach was wonderful and very clean. The location was perfect for us as we was far enough out of the hotel zone and only a bus ride away or 6 dollars on a cab. Our room was spacious and we was so looked after by our cleaning lady I gave her a big hug and of course a tip for looking after us so well. I truly can not fault this hotel, so close to the airport and the security was amazing too, not that we felt we needed it because we felt super safe in Cancun. Highly recommend. Thank you. We stayed at Emporio Cancun with my wife and our 8-year-old twin daughters, and we were honestly surprised by the high quality of the hotel—it was well above what we expected.
The gastronomic experience was a major highlight. Being able to secure reservations at renowned restaurants like Fasano and Bacoli made our trip truly special; the food was world-class.
Another point that deserves special praise is the staff. Every employee we encountered was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It is a fantastic choice for families looking for great service and excellent food in Cancun. We highly recommend it!

Good value for money. The hotel is close to the airport, and it’s very convenient since buses to supermarkets, malls, and downtown run frequently. I was especially impressed by how dedicated the beach lifeguards were—they clearly take safety very seriously.

There are quite a lot of stairs, which can be a bit tiring at first, but after a few days you start to figure out shortcuts, so it becomes manageable.

We were very grateful to the staff at the kids’ club. They treated the children kindly, and it was great to receive real-time updates about our child via WhatsApp.

The food was better than expected. They even served sashimi, and the ceviche was excellent. While the menu did repeat, paella was always available, which was a nice plus for guests who prefer rice-based meals.

Overall: Compared to expensive 5-star resorts, it does fall a bit short, but among similarly priced 4-star resorts, it’s a solid and reasonable choice.

Tip: You can receive noticeably better service if you tip when getting drinks, after meals, or when requesting housekeeping.

Its a great property with breathtaking views of the beach. We had the beachfront room with amazing view. Staff is very polite and tries their best to communicate even though 90% of them don't speak English. The dinner reservation booking process is very smooth and you can easily book a reservation with 2 restaurants for ala carte. The main restaurant CUA is buffet only and you can easily walk in to grab a table without any issues. I would highly recommend this property and will also advise on taking the all inclusive only s it would be worth price if you drink.

Staff never looks for tips but is always there to help. We tipped every staff who attended us and they were grateful.
The room had maid service everyday without a miss. They were very polite and everytime we called for extra towel or water, they always were there. There are many stairs to walk but we rarely had to take any as there were elevetors just right outside our room. Would not recommend if you are coming with a baby or old guests.

Overall, it was a great experience and the beach just was amazing. The bar at beach is great and drinks come out faster than expected. I will definetly come back.

I would have liked to be closer to Cancun city.. Hotel was looking tired.. Make sure you have transport arranged prior to arrival in Cancun otherwise you will be charged way too much by the taxis as they are all in cahoots together. They were wanting 80 US to start with. We ended up getting a taxi for 60 US which is $100 Australian and caught an Uber back to the airport for $25 Australian? there are no Ubers available at the airport on arrival.

Everything in general was way overpriced in comparison to US. Igf you aren't doing the overpriced al inclusive don't bother staying here. It would have been nice to know where look for activities. . Service was great. Gym was tiny.

Very nice value for the price - staffs were very friendly, pools are beautiful, and food was good. We opted in for the all-inclusive option, and it was worth every penny.

Authentic Mexican and Mayan food served here. The Coriander Fish is perfectly cooked, delicious, and topped with a creamy cilantro sauce. (I ordered it 2 of the three times I visited this restaurant during my week stay in Cancun.) The wait staff and manager are super nice and attentive. Watch a beautiful sunset while eating dinner overlooking the lagoon.

Quaint hidden restaurant that has amazing food. A little hard to find but worth it. The owner Alvaro is gracious and always greets each guest. Full bar, all seating outside but covered and protected. Lime soup is excellent. Coconut shrimp was a treat, sweet and delicious. Fish and shrimp dishes all good. Not expensive.

Very good authentic Mexican in Mayan food on the Lagoon overlooking the water. Wonderful place to see the sunset. Outstanding service and the food is reasonable and delicious. Coconut shrimp are served in a half of a coconut which they will later cut out for you and serve. Highly recommend giving it a try. It's a little difficult to find because it is behind a pharmacy. Very good tropical drink selection.

The service is fast and excellent.
The food is really good.

Be careful! At night I went for dinner and was scared to see alligator. There is no sign to warn the guests about it. So please be careful if you have little kids. This is the reason I am giving three stars to it due to customer risk factor.

Been there two days in a roll. Special seafood combo has a huge portion and cooked very fresh. All the seafood meat texture is soft and tender. Price is so much better than Fred's and Crab house. Food is better here too.

Delicious food with a beautiful view. We went here on our last night of vacation. We sat outside by the water and had a beautiful view of the sun setting. Our server, Jorge, was very attentive and friendly. I had the octopus, crab & shrimp risotto and it was amazing! Everyone else at my table really enjoyed their dishes as well. Will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Not impressed. Good location , but our waiter never opened our blind. All the others were open to the water. Thet were out of the shells to put the stuffed crab into, so that was unavailable. I got crab cakes. Had to send them back. Thet weren't good and my vegetables were cold. Our sever was not particularly warm & the timing was off. My son's prime rib was "OK". A bit over medium rare, not very hot. Also, they put gravy over the top instead of giving au jus on the side. I ended up ordering the Prime Rib after I sent the crab cakes back. It was ok, but my son's came with a baked potatoe & mine had mashed. My family were done eating, & I didn't want to wait any longer. Seems they are used to customers who have all inclusive which we did not. Anyway...I left wishing we had chosen somewhere else
