The location inside a jungle was very attractive and athmospheric.
In the beginning, we were somewhat lost because the parking was located on a different location rather than near the entrance.
However, the rooms were very clean and thought about. All was good. The experience was fantastic
And we took pictures of the garden. Hilarious!

Amazing experience all around. I don’t exactly remember the price of booking but I remember booking it because it was the cheapest. I expected nothing special but I was wrong all around. The service was amazing. The common areas were abundant with a large outside pool and fairly priced drinks considering the location. One of the shining gems though was the baggage storage. When we checked in we were early so they let us put our bags in a dedicated locked free room. They offered the same service at check out while we’re waiting for our flight. Of course it’s not an everything included resort but the food nearby is amazing and downtown is just a 12 peso bus ride away. Oh last thing, when we checked in early, we went to the pool deck common area and within 15 minutes of sitting and enjoying the sun the bartender came over with free margaritas and introduced himself and made sure we were comfortable within the hostel. Shout out Salvador. I gave the rooms 4 stars because the window didn’t have a screen and with the mosquitoes it just wasn’t worth opening the window.

The hostel was reasonably located in the hotel zone however a bit far from downtown. The amenities were ok - kitchen was ok, it also had a lounge and cinema room and cafe was in the reception. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Made great friends. Have to put in effort to socialise there as it’s quite big. Beautiful location and property. Female only dorms. Really cool wildlife. However, Beds are creeky and don’t have guards on the top bunks to stop u falling on marble floor. Lockers sound like you’re scraping metal across the floor and wake everyone up. Not amazingly clean. Make sure you don’t sleep on the bunk with aircon, everyone who slept there was freezing and got sick. 7/10

Great location, super close to the beach, good facilities, pool, bar and Great Lake view.
Slightly dated in the bedrooms, no curtains on the beds and the rooms could have been cleaner, I think there was som confusion as to which bunks were used and not.
I had an issue but the staff were quick to respond and move me to another room quickly.

Selina Hotel offers a great quality-to-price ratio. The location is excellent — everything is close by, especially the supermarket, which is perfect for breakfast options.
The hotel is also about a 10-minute walk from the beach, which is very convenient. Considering the price, it’s definitely worth recommending. Friendly staff, good Wi-Fi, and a comfortable stay overall. Highly recommended! 👍

During our first stay, we were very satisfied and had a great experience. The Location is amazing.
Unfortunately, our second visit was disappointing. When making the booking, we specifically asked whether it would be possible to stay in the same room as before (room 1103), as we had read online that not all rooms were equally good, and room 1103 had been very comfortable for us. We were told in advance that this would be possible.
However, upon arrival, the room was already occupied. This was especially frustrating, as I have never experienced before that a confirmed room reservation could not be honored. The alternative rooms offered were not suitable, and no real effort was made to accommodate us.
We also asked if it would be possible to book two rooms instead, as we were five people and wanted to split up. Even then, we were not allowed to pay the price difference shown on Booking.com. Instead, we were asked to pay four to five times more.
Overall, this was very disappointing. We expected a much better level of service, especially considering our positive experience during our first stay.

The hostel was a good place to stay before catching our flight home.
Clean pool. Good communal areas. Very quiet & not many places to eat nearby. Air conditioning also didn’t work properly in our room.
They did ask us to rate the hostel to be able to store our bags after check out - not a fan of this!

The hotel is in a nice location, close to restaurants and the main activity areas. There is plenty of free parking available, which was very convenient.
However, there are a few drawbacks worth noting. There was no coffee provided in the room, which was disappointing. I also had a fall at a nearby shopping center and asked the hotel staff if they had a band-aid, but they didn’t have any basic first-aid supplies on hand.
Additionally, there were quite a few lizards around the hotel premises, including the car park and common areas. While the hotel does have signs stating that it is "lizard-friendly," it might be uncomfortable for some guests who aren’t used to seeing them.
Overall, it’s an okay place if you don’t mind the lizards and bring your own coffee.
