The beach is described as beautiful with organized beach volleyball games and daily activity schedules. Guests praised the variety of restaurants and bars, noting especially the buffet and the steakhouse once they secured a reservation. The hotel has a large and well-maintained pool area, reportedly the longest pool in Cancun. Staff members who were helpful made the experience enjoyable, and the check-in process was often quick. Rooms are generally clean with ocean or lagoon views, and air conditioning works quietly and effectively. Several guests mentioned inconsistent service with some staff unwilling to accommodate simple requests, like rinsing cups or managing long drink lines. The resort layout is confusing, with poor signage and staff giving conflicting directions, compounded by language barriers. Restaurant reservations were difficult to secure and information about walk-in policies was inconsistent. Alcohol options are limited to sugary cocktails with no classic martini-style drinks; drink availability and blender use times vary by bar. Some guests reported maintenance issues such as broken phones, malfunctioning showers, and lack of daily housekeeping, negatively affecting their stay. There are complaints about noisy environments, especially during spring break, making it less suitable for families seeking quiet. Security wristband color restrictions caused frustration and limited access to some facilities.

Staff – There were a few great staff members who definitely made the experience fun, but overall, most seemed pretty unhappy and unwilling to go the extra mile. For example, we had a mojito and wanted to switch drinks, but they wouldn’t even rinse the cup out for us. There were also many times when only one person was working the bar, which made the drink lines extremely long.

Beach – The beach is really beautiful. More loungers would always be a bonus. They have a beach volleyball court, and the staff organize games with a ball and referee, which was a lot of fun. I also saw them set up a few other activities, and there is a daily schedule posted.

Grounds – The resort is massive and honestly feels like a maze. We had a hard time finding our room, and every staff member we asked seemed to send us in a different direction. Many also weren’t able to speak English, which made it more confusing. A clearer, more detailed map of the resort would really help.

Food – The buffet wasn’t bad, but it was pretty much the same options every day. The à la carte restaurants were nearly impossible to book. We managed to get into the steakhouse at the end of the trip, but everything else was fully booked. We also tried walking up to some restaurants and were told we needed a reservation, but when we checked with the concierge, they said those same restaurants were walk-in only. It was very inconsistent.

Alcohol – The alcohol selection is very budget-friendly. Drinks are only available from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. There were no espresso martinis or classic martini-style cocktails — mostly sugary drinks like mojitos, tequila sunrises, Bahama Mamas, Miami Vices, and piña coladas. Not every bar has a blender, and some only use it until 6 p.m.

I do wish they had a nightclub. The entertainment seemed heavily catered toward South American guests, which is totally fine, but something to keep in mind if you’re looking for more American-style music.

Overall – By the end of the trip, we figured out how to make the most of it. It’s definitely not terrible, but there are clear areas for improvement. If I found it at a very cheap price, I’d consider going again, but I probably wouldn’t pay more than $1,200 CAD.

I have no idea what all those negative reviews were talking about. We just arrived here this morning. The staff are amazing, the check-in process was super quick, the pool is warm, the buffet does have fish - and a good selection of tasty other things, standard for this level of hotel (i.e. no lobsters or anything stupid like that). And the grounds and beach are spectacular. I really don't know what else you could expect from a resort of this price. Our room is spotless and even on the lagoon side has a beautiful view.
We're here for a week, so I'll update if anything changes, but right now this is paradise.
Ok - 5 days later: this place is still excellent! Sure you can zoom in on the paint in the bathroom corner not being perfect - but why are you in the (perfectly fine, clean, well maintained) room??
Sure, it's a popular resort and you might have to wait five minutes for a drink. Sure, we were here at spring break and the kids were a bit loud. But they're all good natured and having fun - AND there's a whole bougie adult area for those that want to pay the extra, and there's a whole quieter more family oriented side for those that don't want the dance music. This resort really does have it all and we wouldn't hesitate to come back, especially for the price - which was excellent. And then there's the beach, and the beautiful grounds, the superb entertainment, the 30°C weather, and the friendly staff. If you don't like this place, you probably don't like much.

Moral of the story: Save your money and save your time.

Worst experience ever. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. No amount of money is worth it. Unclean. Unkept. Untidy. UNSAFE. Extremely old building. Telephone broken in room. AC unit not working and words in Chinese. The drain in the bathtub was clogged and created a large pool of water during use. Nothing was fixed until about 3 days into our vacation. Housekeeping picked and chose what days THEY want to clean rather than daily. Only water restocked in the fridge every other day. Never received any new washcloths or towels until I went hunting for some in the morning which they were hesitant to give me. I called for room service on day 4 after they finally fixed our phone and requested 2 cokes. When they came to my room, I was charged $22 dollars! The drinks from the bars and restaurants were all gross and watered down to the point we had to go to the store outside of the hotel and only ask the hotel for cups of ice to use our own drinks. The ice cream places were gross and tasted like gas. The place overall sucks and we just stopped wasting our time and got ready everything morning to leave and go on our own adventures. DEFINITELY NOT AN ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT. NEVER have I ever left an all inclusive resort in the past unless for excursions. I could write a book. Moral of the story: Save your money and save your time.

AWFUL 😔😞 Terrible service! Gross 🤢 food! Spent a week there hungry every day! I will never go back!
I wanted to add details about my trip.
it was supposed to be quiet time for my husband and I.
our shower never worked it was hot or it was cold the bathroom door didn't shut there was a leak in the bathroom that dripped
we did call maintenance they fixed the drip and the bathroom door but the shower was always hot or cold never in between.
we were there for an all-inclusive, there were a couple of restaurants we had to pay for to enjoy that weren't included.
one was the ice cream shop gelato and me
we were literally asked to leave because our arm wristband wasn't the right color, when we checked in we were told we could pay for it and we intended to pay for it but the girl in there rudely told us she was not going to serve us.
completely humiliating and embarrassing.
we went down to the concierge service and talked to Diego He did give us a different color wristband and told the ice cream shop girl to serve us.
but the damage and the embarrassment was already done.
we were also kicked out of a restaurant because my husband was wearing a tank top which was disgusting since there are women in there wearing bikinis with their boobs and butts hanging out.
we participated in the pitch to buy into a vacation for there. truly glad we did not sign up. we basically did it so that we could go see the Mayan temple at a cheaper price. which to be honest it wasn't a cheaper price because when we got on the bus we had to pay another $40. each. I feel like it was all a scam to take as much money from us as possible.
Don't get me wrong I was there to spend money and had money to spend but to be cheated and robbed was not part of my deal.
on top of all the hardships inside the hotel ,restaurants and ice cream shops .
The day we spent on the beach we watched and witnessed somebody drowned and die. Also not a good time.

We have just arrived home after spending a splendid week at the grand oasis. Take absolutely zero notice of previous bad reviews because they are nonsense. On arrival we were greeted and escorted to check in. It was very quick checking in and we were directed to our rooms which was a long walk as this hotel is a vast complex it's not just a hotel and restaurant. Our room was on the 6th floor and we had an ocean View which was lovely. The room itself was clean and although it wasn't huge it was easily large enough for two people especially due to the fact that there is so much entertainment within the complex there is no need to spend any time in the room other than what you would normally do in a bedroom. The elevators are very entertaining as they have a mind of their own but you do get to your correct floor eventually. Our room was refreshed daily however the only minus point was coffee not replaced but if you ask that reception they would supply coffee or slip a cleaner $1 and you can have coffee. Coffee machine work lovely and also an ironing board and iron were supplied. The air conditioning works extremely well and is quiet. If there is more than one person staying allow the toilet 10 minutes to fill up with water otherwise it doesn't flush. We had the all-inclusive blue band which is standard and doesn't allow you entry to gourmet restaurants we knew this in advance however if you want to upgrade it is very simple to do so but everybody we spoke to who had upgraded commented that it wasn't worth the upgrade as the buffet restaurant included with the blue band was suitable. We dying in the Tatish buffet restaurant regularly and found the food very varied and of a good standard for such a high turnover of customers. Some of the food in the restaurant isn't always hot but what can you expect when they're feeding 500 covers per hour. The whole complex is very well run and all and I repeat all of the staff whatever their job is were extremely friendly very helpful and always available for any advice. This complex caters for all ages from one week old to 188 years old. Basically if you don't like the entertainment in one part of the hotel go somewhere else in the hotel. The grand oasis is located directly on the beach which is of top quality and there is always lifeguards on duty as the Caribbean Sea can be a little choppy. Smoking is permitted within the hotel we just recommend if you are a smoker be polite and respectful of those who aren't. There are quite a lot of birds on this site which include beautiful peacocks and pea hens doves and white ibis be mindful of the fact that if you do use the outside dining these birds are likely to jump on the table and eat your food from your hand you only have to wave them away and they are gone. Everywhere you walk within this massive complex there is somewhere to eat and a bar even in the swimming pool you can get a drink while you are swimming. So in summary from a couple that have had many holidays in many different countries and hotels this is one of the very best we have ever been to. We would be delighted to return however the only reason we won't is because we live in England and Cancun is halfway around the world for us. This is true and honest review from very satisfied customers.

+ Close to everything in Cancun. Excellent spring break hotel with lots of entertainment, concerts and fun. Food wasn't terrible for an all inclusive.
- Service. I didn't have hot water in my shower for days after repeatedly asking for it to be fixed. Also it took 24 hours to fix a toilet that didn't work. Again repeated requests. Filled out a complaint, and they never got back to me about that either. Room was a little tired. Balcony tub had no hot water.

There's nothing you can do with the children , as they will be banal boring, if you take a teenager under the age of 18 he will drown in the saliva of the local parties in the coyote ( with white bracelet would not let him go ) the food is average, I would say that is not very good , but the main drawback and not much to say discriminatory point, it's a bloody carve-up of bracelets, you've got purple you can't come in here for black or blue at you , you can't come here too cejie , security clubs have to be meticulous if you ride a big campaign to drink and etc., the rave on the tin there , you likely here , otherwise not worth it , pick another hotel
Online paid, paid very 7 bachey (usd) a day.

Noisy hotel, not for family trips, Russian very little information, hotel guides do not understand why there are ( with the exception of the girl in the first case, here it is for all and pulls the strap, the other full of zeros) the hotel grounds are beautiful, the beach is gorgeous
