Hotel Marins Playa Suites - Adults Only in Cala Millor

On arrival reception staff were very helpful, we stayed here last year for 4 days. We booked the bali sunbeds for all of our stay as these were more comfortable and we ate and drank around the pool area. Throughout the day the staff around the pool were very helpful & kind when serving you food and drinks. I only wish I could remember their names. The hotel itself was lovely and very clean we had a suite as we like extra room, I know the rooms had been renovated but the suites lacked some kitchen facilities. The hotel seemed more busy than last year and we did notice quite a lot of younger people that looked just 16 obviously with their parents. They were playing ball games in the pool and inappropriate behaviour (heavy petting) which we didn't think was acceptable for an adult only hotel. The new spa facilities were amazing, but my partner used the gym on odd occasions, this was very dated and unclean. Overall we had a good time and met some lovely people, nice restaurants and fabulous food.

We recently stayed at the Marins Playa hotel, and I wanted to share an honest review of our experience to help future guests get a clear idea of what to expect. Arrival: Our arrival was smooth, and the hotel’s location was easy to find based on the reviews we’d read prior to booking. You have to check in at the Marins Playa Hotel, which was no inconvenience to us. The receptionist was exceptionally welcoming and even allowed us to check in early at around 11am. Our room was lovely, modern, and clean, with a beautiful view of the pool and ocean from the fourth floor. We booked the cheapest room and Hotel: The hotel itself is beautiful, with a stunning outdoor area. As an adults-only hotel, it was a real treat to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere without the usual noise of children. At the beginning of our stay, we couldn't imagine giving this hotel anything less than a 5-star rating. Sunbeds: I was initially concerned about the sunbed situation, as the "sunbed wars" can be a source of anxiety for me. Thankfully, the hotel offers Bali Sunbeds, which can be reserved for free through the hotel bar. There is a minimum spend of €25 at the pool bar and restaurant on the day you book the sunbed, which wasn’t an issue for us, as a few drinks and lunch easily covered that amount. We ended up booking them for the entire week, and it was fantastic to not have to rush down early in the morning to claim a sunbed. Even though we visited in the second week of July, we noticed plenty of normal sunbeds available throughout the day, with no rush for them at any point. Location: The hotel’s location is excellent, with a variety of restaurants and shops just steps away. The main ***** and beach are only about a 5-minute walk, though it's worth noting you're on the beachfront, just not on an actual sandy beach. There’s also an Aldi about a 20-minute walk away, perfect for stocking up on essentials like sunscreen and snacks. We frequently dined at DUE Pizzeria on the beachfront, and their pizzas were absolutely delicious! Pool Area: One minor observation: there were occasional bits of bird droppings by the pool. While this is understandable, it might be beneficial for staff to check and clean the area a couple of times a day, as I did step in some at one point. This was a minor issue, though, and did not detract from the overall experience. On one day, they had a DJ playing modern music, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. It was a great atmosphere, and we would love to see more of this in the future, as it was a pleasant addition without disturbing anyone. Food: The breakfast selection was decent, though it was probably the smallest buffet I’ve had at a hotel. That said, the food was fresh and tasty. We were especially fond of the pancakes with bacon, though we did miss having syrup to go with them. We did not dine at the hotel for dinner, so we cannot comment on that aspect. We wanted to visit Mallorca without all the crowds and ended up at Marins Suites in Cala Millor, adults-only and super relaxing. The hotel has a calm, quiet vibe, no kids, no noise. Our room was spacious, and had a beautiful sea view. The pool area was a highlight: big enough to swim, always enough sunbeds, and very clean. Another bonus: direct access to the beach promenade via the back entrance. Perfect for evening walks or grabbing dinner nearby. Food was fresh and tasty, especially lunch and dinner. Breakfast was a bit repetitive but still good. If you enjoy a quiet atmosphere, a great pool, and easy access to both the beach and town, this place is definitely worth considering!

We had a week stay in the adults only part of this fabulous hotel. Absolutely faultless hotel, cannot complain about anything. If I was really trying to be critical it would be the WiFi isn’t great. That’s very minor though considering how everything else is perfect, the food is beautiful we ate breakfast and lunch here every day and had drinks on an evening. Everything was very reasonably priced with excellent service. This hotel is definitely worthy of a 5* hotel we will definitely be returning

The hotel has been beautifully renovated since our last visit. All the furnishings are very comfortable and look amazing. The beds are also really comfortable. We had a sea view suite and the room had loads of storage, a separate lounge area and a fridge. The new spa in the basement was amazing, with the most luxurious loungers I have ever seen! We had lunch most days, which was very reasonably priced and good choice. Breakfast was included and served inside or outside next to the 2 beautiful pools with lots of choices. This really is a very special hotel in our favourite part of the island. I’ve already booked to return in July and October later this year.

This hotel should be rated 5 star. Very chilled. Furnishings looked brand new. Staff very helpful. Hotel in good spot. I Went with 2 friends. We are in our late 50's. Will definitely be going back. Very clean. Food excellent. Stanley's restaurant up the road great food too.

the vibes, the view, the staff, the cleanliness, the food….everything was stunning.. fresh omelettes and pancakes made fresh right in front of you every morning. amazing! not one single thing i could fault. the staff went that extra mile for my partner and i as he celebrated a big birthday when we were there. would 100% recommend this stunning hotel!

Spent 7 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Firstly the reception is in the marins playa hotel across the road, ask to be dropped off there if travelling by private transfer as you won’t be able to get in without a key card if you are dropped off at the suites side. Reception took us to our room which was a nice touch. We had a junior suite on the second floor at the end and the view was perfect. Bathroom was massive with a bath and separate shower. Breakfast was very nice, if you want hot food to order ask the lady on the omelette station for tortilla, omelette or bacon. Cereals were excellent, really good choice of grown up cereals. Coffee can be obtained from the machine or the carafe at the bar. Location excellent, walk out the gate onto the promenade, Cala millor right and Cala bona left. Only slight criticism was we had to go to the Playa hotel to use the table tennis and it was a different world over there, hundreds of screaming kids, nothing like the suites. We had a dj play by the pool one day with Ibiza chill music, most days it was just background music or quiet. The top floor Ibiza chill out area on the playa side was a nice touch and a change from the pool. The Bali beds are €25 but you get it off to your food and drink bill for that day, great idea to stop people fighting over the best beds. Plenty of ordinary sunbeds to go round and no need to go reserving them like one recent review suggested. All in great holiday and highly recommend the Marins Suites for an adult only holiday.

We have had a wonderful week at Marins Suites. Adult only. Lovely breakfasts and friendly staff. All rooms sea facing. We booked a junior suite as it had a bath as well as a separate shower. Huge room on 2nd floor. My only gripe would be that we had to go to the very noisy and boisterous Marins Playa to play table tennis which isn't clear on the website. We like to play a few times each day and so it would have been nicer not to have to go where over 300 kids were screaming! Also the Ibiza adult chill out zone is also at the Playa. However we would highly recommend the Suites.

Stayed in the Marins Suites, which is part of the Marins Playa and Marins Beach club hotels. The Marins Suites are located across the road from the main Marins Playa Hotel complex. We booked a suite which was equipped with a small kitchen, fridge, sink, 2 ring cooker and a microwave. The kitchen area was located in a large open plan room, which also came with a couch/sofa bed and arm chairs. The suite had a separate bedroom and shower room, all with a large balcony over looking the stunning sea view and pool area. Rooms were clean but a little dated in the decor. The large balcony was wonderful, a couple of chairs and outdoor tables were the only furniture provided. The pool area was clean and modern, with a really nice relaxed atmosphere, food and drinks could be served to your loungers or Bali beds. Staff here were excellent, really friendly, and attentive. Breakfast was available in the main Marins Playa Hotel or in the Marins Suites. Both areas served similar food but had different vibes, more relaxed and picturesque at the Marins Suites, I would say For dinner, you had to go over to the main Marins Playa Hotel complex where you could choose from sitting outside near the BBQ area, downstairs in the buffet restaurant or upstairs in the adult only buffet restaurant. Food in general was just OK, but not bad as buffet food goes. The food could benefit from more variety over the different days. There was also a sky bar with bali beds, sun loungers, and a hot tub, which could be used by over 16's. This area has a nice view out over the surrounding area and out towards the sea. The gym was OK. There was enough basic equip to do a light workout. The gym would benefit from some additional heavier weights and a few cable machines. There was a small laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer that could be used. Washing powder was bot provided. Overall, the Marins Playa and Marins Suites are a really nice, good value hotel located right between cala Bona and Calla Millor. The location is perfect, and the views out over the sea are fantastic. The staff really made this place, the cleaners, bar and restaurant staff were all really friendly and attentive. We would recommend this place to couples who want a nice relaxing break with a real feel of luxury. Younger couples might enjoy the Marins Beach Club, which is run by the same Marins owners.
