Reviews
Wish there was more restaurants around as well. Hotel night buffet expensive but amazing in the sense that there is heaps heaps of choices. One of the best buffet I’ve had. Breakfast too. Biggest shame is dinner buffet shuts at 9pm!!!! This was always rushing us to have an early dinner which wasn’t pleasant. And since not much restaurants around we ended up eating at the hotel.
The bar next to the pool downstairs is amazing as you can grab a drink without having dinner in their Asian restaurant. The cava we drank was exceptional (sparkling wine).
The pool area is lovely too with heaps of seating. There is also a spa which wasn’t crowded so very nice to enjoy.
The hotel is not cheap at all and we definitely not received the quality for what we payed.
Staff: overall the staff was very very nice with us, and always trying to help.
Rooms: the worst of the stay. The bathroom had mold on the roof. The windows and room overall were zero sound proof. The bed (actually it was 2 beds next to eachother) moved so much, so it was like sleeping in individuals bed. The AC didn’t worked for the first 2 days (the third time we asked for service was the time they fixed the issue).
Amenities: the quality of the hotel can be summarized when I went to the gym and there was a note above the water dispenser saying you couldn’t refill your bottle!!!!
Overall the hotel is very outdated and old.
The elevators take so long time.
You need to present a card to get towels in the pool.
The pool service (drinks and food) closes super early which is not convenient.
Even though the location is very good and the staff kind, we will never come back to this hotel. Sadly what they show online is not what you get.
Upon arrival, no one offered assistance with our luggage. At check-in, the receptionist who handled our room was not particularly welcoming. My husband ended up loading all five of our suitcases onto a trolley himself while the receptionist simply escorted us to the elevator. Alex did not check us in, but during our stay he was noticeably more friendly and approachable compared to the rest of the team.
The view from our room was beautiful, but the room itself was very small and not what we expected for the rating. The next evening, we needed extra towels and tried calling the front desk multiple times, but no one answered, so we had to go downstairs in person. The next day, not only was our late checkout request denied, but at 11 AM a man arrived at our door to paint the room before we had even checked out, which was highly unprofessional. Around checkout time, the AC also stopped working, which made the room uncomfortable and gave the impression it may have been turned off intentionally.
On departure, we requested a trolley to bring our luggage down, but were told it could only be brought by staff and none were available, so once again we had to carry everything ourselves. Parking was also frustrating since the key provided to open the gate did not work. We ended up parking on the opposite side, where Julian consistently helped us by opening the gate, and his assistance was very much appreciated.
Overall, the hotel has potential with its location and the views, but the lack of service, poor communication, and very small rooms made our stay disappointing. This experience fell far short of what one would reasonably expect from a 4-star property.
From the time we were welcomed by Sergio and Desiree at check in until we checked out 6 days later, the experience was first class. These two really made our stay feel extra special.
The interior of the hotel itself is a little dated and could probably do with a bit of modernisation but functionality wise everything worked perfectly and the facilities are absolutely fantastic.
The hotel is located right on the water with its own little mini private beach/swimming area which was just a dream.
There are two pools (one adults only) with plenty of sun lounges and umbrellas and at no point did it feel extremely busy.
The breakfast buffet was amazing with plenty of variety. I think it would be hard to find somebody who would struggle to find something to their liking.
I would definitely come back to this hotel.
I see bad comments about the staff but every experience I had with them was pleasant. The guest services manager arranged a car rental and it was delivered within 15 minutes. Late checkout was no problem either for a nominal fee.
Pool bar is great, limited options but all you could need. Food is good for the most part but some dishes could be better. Sofia in the pool restaurant is great. Breakfast is nice, tonnes of options.
The upstairs dining hall has no atmosphere - we ate there one night and it’s like a conference room. Also they should stop accepting guests if they are going to close soon. We were seated and our waiter told us it was closing in 10 minutes but we still paid full buffet price.
Overall a very nice hotel in a great location.
Service: The front desk is very good. We checked in late at night and arranged for us to stay on the fifth floor. We wanted to upgrade, but the front desk told us that we would be upgraded to the sixth or seventh floor. In fact, it is similar to the fifth floor. The view of 509 is unbeatable. I think 507-510 are all pretty good.
Environment: The sound insulation is a bit poor. The quilt is not as musty and damp as I imagined. It may also be that I am more accepting.
The breakfast is good. The hotel next to the swimming pool is a bit expensive. The buffet in the evening is also good.
The most unpleasant moment was the late check out - such a simple question turned into the drama of the day. At first, the hotel manager promised us to rent one room for a late check-out for 11 euros per hour, then they told us that the hotel was fully booked (by the way, it was possible to book 10 rooms on the same day), which speaks very well about the staff and culture of the hotel. Another very good point is that there were some problems in the sauna - the staff's response is why are you complaining, look at how the sun is shining... Are you kidding me?!
In conclusion, please avoid this hotel with a low level of culture and service.
