Bahía Aparthotel in Peguera

Everything delightful except my room, which was poky with a bathroom window opening onto a very small terrace, no mirror, nowhere to put anything down, I had to keep moving the chair to access the wardrobe. We paid extra but my daughters' economy room was far superior, it was airy and spacious with double doors opening onto a large terrace, I thought maybe the rooms had been mixed up. I complained and was told a message would be left for the receptionist but no one talked to me - It didn't spoil my holiday but I felt bothered then and still do now I've returned home - I have stayed several times before and never had a bad word to say about this lovely hotel, but now I feel wary of going back and being given a room like this again even though I was paying MORE for it.

There’s a lot to like about this hotel, but the rooms are not one of them, we had a dark side room, which got no sunshine & the lighting in the room was really poor & over looked a car parking area, it really spoilt our visit, we asked twice to be moved and each time the reception took our number but never called or offered another room, 9 nights in this room got a bit depressing. Most of the rooms around us seemed to be very similar. But we had lots going on playing Tennis & nice meals out. I thought with me bringing another 22 tennis friends to this hotel would at least got us a pleasant room & being a big birthday celebration while we were there. Also on the Saturday it was hired out to a private party which took over the hotel, even a bouncy castle outside our room, guests were very much not thought of that day. Now to the positives, staff were very friendly & helpful (except getting us a half decent room) the pool was lovely although near the main road, I like the old style of the hotel & its quirkiness, but rooms need a serious overhaul, the actually bed was very comfy although the iron head board wasn’t, great breakfast again staff excellent. Food in the hotel was lovely has a few lunches there. Great position for the beach & shops.
