What I didn’t like was the long evening concerts - it was hard to fall asleep at night until the concert ended at about 23:30 or later. It didn’t always bother me that much though and could fall asleep after some time of turning in my bed.
Otherwise, the hotel was okay, pretty good even.
The rooms themselves earned to a certain level but do not get a room that does not have proper beds. They have coaches that can turn into a bed but they're very uncomfortable especially if you're a fully grown adult. Did not have a good night sleep the entire time I was there.
They have lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot. There are a few vegetarian options for lunch, but unfortunately not that many.
The rooms are bright and large, I really liked that!
The pool area is really nice with very good music. The bartender at the pool bar is the best! (There was even a cocktail on the house :)).
I had a few problems with the wifi, and the staff couldn't help me. I solved it after one day by myself.
If you want to walk to the beach it only takes 10 minutes. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach, which is nice for hot days.
Overall I really enjoyed the time in the EIX Lagotel Holiday Resort.

It is an old hotel. Mattresses tell a lot of stories. There was some damp smell in our bathroom. There are mosquitoes because of the lake nearby. One elevator was out of order our whole stay. Safe was not working. But all of those compensated with a very fair price, considering the proximity of a very nice Platja de Muro.
Really nice hotel to stay at. Only a 20 minute walk to the beach. Located right next to a massive lake, so beware of mosquitoes during the day and especially at night! It has its own Supermarket so you can buy essentials on site.
Pools
Both adult only pool and children pool spot on with plenty of sun beds to enjoy.
Room
The rooms are spacious and very pleasant.
The beds are great, pillows not so great.
Complete with lounge area, small kitchen with two sets of patio doors bring you out onto the balcony (from lounge and bedroom).
Entertainment
Bingo, live music and entertainment.
The artists they had when I was there were superb.
Bar and restaurant
Great selection of food and drink for everyone. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Juice and coffee machines with a great selection.
Staff and Service
All staff were superb and are a credit to their hotel. Best service I’ve experienced.
Our experience at EIX Lagotel was honestly quite disappointing. While the location and pools were decent, the negatives quickly overshadowed the stay.
Breakfast was chaotic — extremely loud, overcrowded, and the doors to the outdoor seating were kept closed despite the packed dining hall. I asked for a white-only omelette, and the cook just poured some premixed liquid from a large plastic container into the pan. It clearly wasn’t just egg whites — honestly, it felt more like silk or custard than egg. Very off-putting.
Pillows were thin and uncomfortable, with strange pillowcases that had two open sides. We had to ask for extra just to sleep properly. The in-room safebox was unusable — no instructions, no key, and I assume it required a deposit, but no one explained.
Soundproofing was terrible. One night we couldn't sleep until 2 AM because our neighbors were having a loud party. The kids club had very limited hours and was completely closed on Sunday without warning.
Tennis courts and lake boats shown in the promotional photos simply don’t exist. We also found cockroaches — a few on the balcony and one inside the room.
Reception staff were rude and unhelpful. On top of that, they required a €5 deposit every time our kids wanted to play ping pong, and a €40 deposit just to borrow beach towels. For a supposed 4-star family resort, this all felt excessive and unfriendly.
We won’t be coming back. Too many issues
Asked for a high floor with lots of light as i suffer from claustrophobia, got the tinyest room like colditz , never slept for 3 days reception said there were no other rooms proved to them that there were other rooms online with various websites including there own , they just laughed and shrugged their shoulder's as if to say tough luck . I was prepared to pay extra but they just turned me away .
Stay away from this diabolical Hotel.
For the price, this hotel probably exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, tidy, back to the basics, no frills accomodation. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Onsite supermarket was well stocked and well priced. The adults only pool/bar was amazing. The evening entertainment was a bit naff. The breakfast buffet had lots of choice. Good location. Easy to walk to beach etc. the biggest drawback was due to the proximity to that lake, there were mosquitos everywhere.
