Great hotel,not first lane near the beach,but great location

Nice cosy place for a relaxing holiday. I got a single use room, The room is small, but enough for one person .
A very clean , cleaning lady comes every day to change towels, making my bed and cleaning the floor. Breakfast is nothing special, but is enough for early meals. Eggs boiled, bacon rashes, cheese, lot of pastry products, coffee and tea. I would recommend the hotel for a relaxing holiday, and the beach five minutes to go from the hotel. They have a swimming pool , big and deep. Nice staff, nice reception.

Very complete hotel. People are all kind and friendly. They are effective responding to customer needs and keep a smiling mood. The room are comfortable and clean in all parts. Even the balcony are taken well conserved and clean. The free swimming pool is really a plus, like the ping pong areas. The music attraction on the late evening are always well prepared and generate a very positive and familiar atmosfere. Good breakfast with variety and abundance of food and drinks. Prices absolutely below the average.

This is a lovely 3 star hotel. It dates from the 60s so please expect this and take this into account, it is not ultra modern. However after saying that this does not distract from it's charm. The hotel is comfortable, there is a fantastic pool aswell as other great leisure activities such as table tennis, a tennis court, boules pitch, poolside bar and indoor games room. It's a hotel well suited to couples and families alike. Maybe not a hotel for those intent on a wild nightlife etc. The food at the breakfast bar and evening meal was excellent.
The beach is only a 5 minute stroll from the hotel.
Finally, the staff make the difference here. Friendly, welcoming, efficient and appreciative of their guests. They put an extra star on for me.
I would recommend this hotel.

From the moment I arrived at Thalassa Sport Spa + Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed by the level of service, the quality of the facilities, and the overall ambiance of the hotel. Nestled in the picturesque town of Roses, this hotel strikes the perfect balance between relaxation, wellness, and comfort.

The rooms were impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Many offer stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea or the serene hotel garden, adding to the peaceful vibe that permeates the entire property.

What truly sets Thalassa apart is its spa and wellness center. The thalassotherapy pool, saunas, and comprehensive range of spa treatments were outstanding. After a day of exploring the Costa Brava or lounging on the nearby beaches, returning to the spa felt like a luxury retreat in itself. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel incredibly welcome.

In summary, Thalassa Sport Spa + Hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. It’s a perfect destination for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful coastal setting with first-class wellness amenities. We can’t wait to return!

Today, march 16, I went to the sauna at the end of the morning. The lady who ‘welcomed’ me and did the payments was not very friendly, unwelcoming/ rude (she was partly on the phone while talking with me). The sauna and sauna rules were ok.

We were welcomed very warmly by a charming, young receptionist whose name I think was Julia - she was incredibly helpful and was able to give advice on where to shop in the locality. She is an absolute credit to herself and you! Overall not a warm welcome by other members of staff.
Our rooms were clean and well layed out. Very comfortable beds. The balcony was spacious and well equipped.
Breakfast is served in the bar just off the reception - it was ok. A selection of cheeses, meat, pastries and cereals. For a hotel so focused on health and well-being we felt this was disappointing. The jam on offer was very low quality and tasteless. It might be good to use locally sourced bio products. The coffee was excellent.
On the first morning when I asked a question at reception I was shushed by a member of the team and told to find Julia. Not what I expected!
Some beauty treatments advertised were not available.
