Renovated: 2003
Location: in the centre of the resort town of Lloret de Mar, 70 km from Barcelona airport, 45 km from Girona airport.
Consists of a 6-storey building.
The hotel has 80 rooms.
Beach: public sand at 30 m from the hotel (1 coastline). Umbrellas and plank beds – charge.
On the hotel territory: 1 restaurant, pool umbrellas, sun beds: free of charge, swimming pools: 1 (open), 1 bar, Laundry (chargeable), Luggage room, TV lounge, Elevator

Really can't understand how it is 4*.
I think 3 star would be a fair review of the service on offer.
The rooms are standard size. Not a massive fan of my bathroom being in the same room as my bed but they've gone open plan with it.
Everything is super clean, however.
Check in was awkward as I arrived really early, they need to review this procedure.
The breakfast offering was okay, the omelette and pancake station is nice, a personalised omelette would be better. Cakes are plentiful. Lots of cereal options, juice and water. It's quite annoying that there is only one coffee machine.
Dinner offering needs reviewing. Everything seems to be way over cooked and not much is kept warm and therefore when eating, there's little flavour.
The 'Spanish' options I.e. paella, weren't great. Paella cooked with long grain rice!? Just why!?
There are plentiful options for salad but the dressings are basic. Soup was also tasteless on the 2 times i had it. The pizza was good but always a back up option when looking for flavour.
The pool is tiny, the gym more so. I wanted to swim but looking at the size and depth of the pool, I decided it wasn't worth it. I tried the xtrainer and it creaked so much, I gave up after a couple of minutes. The gym could be expanded too for sure and there is space up there just before the pool entrance.
Would I stay here again? Probably not. I certainly wouldn't pay extra for half board again. There are so many food options locally that it doesn't actually make sense really.
Overall, it was a clean hotel in a good location and did what I needed just a shame about the food.

Just back from a wonderful 4 night break at this little gem of a hotel.
Perfectly situated right on the beach. Surrounded by shops and bars.
The hotel is spotless. Rooms cleaned every day. People say the air con doesn't work but ours was freezing. Just give it 5 minutes to kick in. We didn't have a balcony but the French doors fully opened and that was fine.
Breakfast is one of the best I have ever seen abroad. I counted over 20 different types of bread. Fresh omelette. Bacon sausage eggs. Countless cereal. Fresh fruit.. only downside was queue for the hot drinks.
We borrowed a kettle for free from reception and found out on the last day they provide beach towels for no charge.. there is a room to leave cases in for late check out..
The pool area is a little small but we always managed to get a bed. Nobody reserves them.
All in all a fabulous hotel and will definitely be back.

The rooms were organized and designed modern, but there wasn’t a door for the shower which i found weird since we requested a room for 3 people. So there was barely any privacy, also one of the windows were cracked open and weren’t able to be closed and we found out about it but ended up not saying anything. 2 nights the room smelled like cigarettes and it was very bad and the airco was barely working. There were also a bunch of ANTS in the morning on the floor in front of the sink… the location was actually perfect, it was not even a 2 minute walk to the beach or the city so that was very convenient. The food, was bad for dinner but good for breakfast there were very few options but a lot of desserts. At dinner there always was fish and pork which both looked very unappetizing. Overall review: 2 stars. No idea how u could call this a 4 star hotel. Wouldn’t recommend.

Located right opposite the beach. The staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and maids came every day. The breakfast was excellent with great choices. Plenty of excellent restaurants located close by. Only downsides we didn't have a balcony and the roof top pool is only about 2 and a half feet deep. So if your looking for swimming pool this isn't the place for you. We did enjoy our experience tho.

I had a truly wonderful stay at the Metropol Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well taken care of. I want to give special thanks to Kacia and Alex, who were incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my visit. They patiently answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. This Metropol Hotel left a lasting impression, and I would gladly return in the future.

Where do I start staff at breakfast not friendly very aggressive attitude don't ask them for help they don't like helping. Bar opens if meal is booked other wise it's closed, and if it does open it closed at 9. No entertainment at all. WiFi terrible. Promo rooms no balcony and rooms with balcony look into a building. We only were B&B thank god the breakfast was terrible the hot food was so greasy and if you got a fry egg it was as if it had been chilled from the night before will never go back and it definately not worth it's 4stars. Only one TV English chanel and its new only!!! Never Again!!!!

Didn't like it too much, WiFi was weak, didn't even have a fridge in our room (you need to pay extra for it) but overall it was good. Nice people, and the food was also good

Hotel staff was very helpful but I was disappointed with very small room (bed covered doors to middle). Wifi was very bad as well. Correctly worked only at hall.

Bad rooms. Bad wifi. Loud students and staff does nothing about it. Very noisy really hard to sleep.

It's not the world's finest hotel, it's a standard one with just what you need.
They have wifi and the beds are ok, but the food isn't the best and there is no pool or extras.
The best 2 things in it is the location (30 meters from the beach and just in the middle of the city center) and it's a cheap place.
