Golden Avenida Family Suites 4* in Salou

Ingrid who works for the hotel is warm and accommodating. Staff is general were nice enough. The hotel rooms were rough! Dirty floors, walls covered in black filth marks, curtains with random stains on them. Furniture that's no longer fit for purpose. Broken, chipped and quite frankly should be dumped! Cleaners came daily, never actually cleaned, just made the bed, with the old, tired, worn sheets with odd marks on. The floor remained dirty for the entirety of our stay. You could feel the dirt under your feet, it was gross. The restaurant was basic and the food was luke warm. I had a hair in my food one evening. It was awful. The pool area is beyond tired and the sunbeds had holes and often were broken in some way, shape or form. The pool wasn't cleaned , the same looking poo item sat at the bottom of the pool all week. The noise in the hotel is ridiculous, I've never been anywhere so noisy and I've travelled across the globe. All in all the hotel needs some serious renovation especially the rooms. They are beyond tired and quite frankly not what one would expect of a 4* hotel. I dont think the clientele that this hotel attracts have very high standards because the majority of the reviews, do not reflect the state of the hotel. I would not return under any circumstances.
