Reviews
At night when you try to get your young child to sleep, they will most likely be awoken by other extremely rude guests shouting in the corridor at midnight.
Apparently Hotel management are happy for theft to occur on their premises. Had my sunglasses stolen right under a CCTV camera, and the staff for what ever reason could not have been less helpful and rude.
If you do decide to stay here, do not go all inclusive, the food is horrendous and is barely ok to serve to a starving street dog.
The pool is a decent size for the hotel, but requires a good clean as a nice layer of black mold can be found at the water line.
You cannot wear sunglasses in the pool for some odd reason.
Whilst chilling at one of their indoor seating areas, the glass table top exploded randomly. Although I admit that this could happen to any piece of toughened glass (seen it before) The hotel manager did not seem overly concerned about our welfare, considering 2 of the group had shards of glass in their leg and foot.
If you do stay here and decide you want to visit port aventura world, my advice would be - be standing on the kerb for the shuttle bus in the morning. People turn into animals when trying to get on a free bus to a theme park.
Furthermore, the express pass is definitely worth it for the theme park. You will get on at least 3-4 times more rides in the day than someone who doesn’t.
The location is not bad, and is about the only positive thing I have to say about the place.
Best advice would be to avoid if possible.
Happy holidays!
Rooms yes, they are smaller, but nothing different to what is shown on the website. Aircon was lovely and cold, beds comfy and rooms cleaned well daily.
Food was good enough, lovely selection, by day 6/7 It was samely but hey its all inclusive and not breaking the bank, kids ate well too and lots of drink options including lots of 'Zero' options.
Great stay and a thumbs up from us as a family of 6 staying we'd highly recommend.
Location great too, 10 mins to beach and quite a pleasant 15/20 min walk to Portaventura world (uphill there) downhill back)
The food is lovely and there was always a variety to choose from. Every single member of staff from cleaners to reception to bar and restaurant staff were always friendly and helpful. I would go as far as to say they are some of the nicest staff we have ever encountered abroad. We will definitely return here and would have no problem recommending this hotel to our friends and family.
* no floats in the pool - a dad had a baby in a floating aid and the lifeguard made a massive scene and told him he had to hold the baby - ridiculous
* the pool is like an ice bath - the sea was warmer.
* the food selection isn’t great but it was adequate
* all inclusive but the selection isn’t the best
* I had to share a double bed when a twin would have been more adequate. I didn’t ask to change rooms and maybe I should have
* quite a while to check in
Good Points
* location - less than 10 minutes from the beach
* park tickets - 3 days worth
* put about a stone on with the food and drink I consumed
* friendly staff
* clean and comfortable
Overall a 4/5 - I’d come again for sure 👍
Pros: spacious room, shuttle to and from the park and the breakfast was wonderful, it exceeded expectations. Also, our room had a very big balcony and Marc at the reception spoke great english
Cons: during the booking process i requested two things, twin beds and quiet room, none of which was met. There was no option to book a twin and i doubt a hotel that huge doesn't have twin bed rooms. Also the soundproofing was terrible, during the day it was very noisy from the neighbors
The pool is very small, not worth the money they charge. The rooms are outdated, and while they are clean, it doesn't make up for the other issues. The hotel’s design is old, though having a balcony is a small plus. The entertainment program is poor and unappealing.
Overall, this hotel is definitely not worth the cost, and I strongly do not recommend staying here.
All I can suggest is look elsewhere, it’s not worth the theme park tickets!
Firstly the staff and unpleasant and unkind. Everything is always too much to ask and it made the experience poor.
The pool areas are terrible, they need a lot of work and maintenance. The areas around the pool are rarely cleaned and neither are the pools. We had to fish out leaves, plastic bags and stones before our children could use it. There isn’t enough room for the amount of people so it feels very compacted and uncomfortable around the pool. Silly rules such as no sunglasses and no swimming underwater!!!! Lifeguard were strict and rude.
The quality of the food was good but the variety was poor. You had to book a time slot for breakfast and tea which was very difficult with children and made us feel like we were being told when we could/couldn’t eat in our holiday! The show cooking area was shut after a day so there were no omelettes etc and this made it even worse as the variety became even smaller.
The entertainment was awful and often inappropriate (grown men showing his underwear to children in the front).
The snack bar situation was not catered for all inclusive, it was shut at lunch time so yiu had no other choice but to go to the restaurant when sometimes we didn’t want to as the kids were swimming!
It was definitely not kid friendly, even the kids pool was too deep and in a terrible state!
The roof pool/terrace shut a day after we arrived and didn’t open again. We were never told why.
Slow service at the bars.
The rooms were nice and a good location.
The shuttle bus to the park was good until they changed the times without telling anyone so we had to get a taxi.
Just avoid, find somewhere else that’s cheaper and better quality.
