PortAventura Hotel Caribe - Includes unlimited access PortAventura Park & 1 access Ferrari Land in Salou

Been here 2 years ago but this time would not return. Room had black mold around the vent and when we told reception there reply was, well you can go to another hotel !!!!.
Feel like they are not putting money into the hotel as I noticed it looks very run down now. Silverfish also found in the bathroom floor, and if you wanted to get a shower on your last day there is a tiny room in the gym with 2 see through showers and no we're private to get dry.
Breakfast was probably one of the worst buffers I've been to.
Hotel being next to the park is brilliant and we had a fab holiday but I just would not stay in this hotel again.

Let's begin with the positives, as they are sparsely there. The front desk is very helpful, Pad especially. He multitasked and helps us while checking in someone with online check in. I hope he gets recognized and a raise.
We got checked in easily, everything was explained, we found our room quickly.
Cooling the room was doable, you just need to have the electricity on at all times.

Now for the negatives:
Rooms:
Insufficient ventilation for the humidity.
Due to the high humidity, our bathroom door got stuck, because they used cheap MDF doors that are moisture sponges.
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING was able to dry, not even our towels due to the high humidity.
Mini bar barely chilled, the poor thing was trying it's best, but like everything... It failed.

The hotel:
The bare minimum of maintenance is done. The schedule is more in line of: if enough people complain, we'll patch it as cheaply as possible.
The electric chargers in the front of the hotel aren't for guests, no, that's for management's cars, even if they aren't EV's.
If you need to charge your car, head to the convention center and good luck.

Dining plan:
We had half pension, that was a huge mistake.
The breakfast buffet is servicable, but dinner is just... Hell.
I don't know how some people are able to praise this, but whatever we had was bland, dry or just downright disgusting. Cheap Mi noodles, watery pasta sauce... Salt and pepper also seem to be a premium, as is drinking anything else than lukewarm water.
Food in the park is just as bad, even for theme park food.

The rest of the service:
Even if they are presenting themselves as an international theme park, it's very Spanish only, or I hope you're good with Google translate. The conversation option there saved us more than anything.
The app system and qr codes just aren't well designed and implemented, as we had to have our accounts corrected 3 times. The app only works on the WiFi, which gatekeeps decent internet speeds UNLESS you agree to marketing spam, which is bull crap.

Honestly, have your funeral at the hotel, because you know they'll let you down every time.
