Hotel Best Oasis Park in Salou

Starting with the room - the beds were very firm but are generously sized, bigger than a single but not as big as double. The room was clean and serviceable, but there were some age-related marks on the walls and ceiling. The shower was hot with decent pressure, but the bath is quite low down. There is a safe included in the room, but no kettle or ironing board. There is also a TV in the room with British, French, Spanish and German channels. You have to pair the remote yourself, but the instructions are only in Spanish. There is a luggage room downstairs if your checking out before your transfer.

The rest of the hotel is very modern and the pools are very well maintained, clean and checked very regularly. If you want a sunbed, you best be at the pool 8am SHARP to reserve yours. We paid 10e tourist tax for 3 people for 4 nights which was reasonable.

All of the staff were friendly and accommodating, with most speaking some level of English.

The food is the biggest let down. The cooked breakfast was very poor, the bacon and the eggs were incredibly greasy and the sausages were dry. The evening meal was a hit-and-miss, some nights very good and other nights, not so much - but that may be my personal preference. There is always a good selection of food, from themed foods (we had seafood, Mexican and Spanish). They did Tuna fillets on some nights, which was very well enjoyed. There is a regular output of food so even if you're not at the door of the restaurant for 7:30pm, you still get fresh food.

The kids club also didn't start until 9pm, by which time my daughter was exhausted from the day and just couldn't muster the energy to take part. It would be good to have some entertainment before the evening meal.

The hotel is very well situated, plenty of shops selling inflatables, souvenirs etc and bars for those who want to eat/drink out. The area in front is pedestrianised so great for a walk on an evening.

This hotel has as many positives about it if you look. The food is good and varied. The location is ideal. 10 minutes walk to the beach and come back through the town or vise versa. The room was cleaned daily. The bar staff are happy and industrious and reception helpfull. If you can find her try and get to the area in the restaurant where Lamia operates. She's about as lovely and smiley as anyone you'll meet working in a busy restaurant. She deserves heaps of praise and I hope they management appreciated her. There's a few negatives like the lifts but there only really a problem at breakfast. You have to move your sunbed around a few times during the day to keep up with the moving sun. I'd recommend this hotel as long as you don't over pay for it. Nb. Tarragona is definitely worth a visit.

Just came home today . Was a lovely place to stay . A lot of lazy people not using the bins unfortunately. Food at hotel was really good . Couple days were not so great but majority was good . Service at hotel was really good , rooms clean and tidy every day ! Local to many shops within walking distance.

Bad points Spanish, German, French foreign visitors were very rude . Always pushing people at the line on meals or blocking of the kids entertainment and not allowing wheelchairs through . Pushing into elevators barely allowing people to get out of them . This was a massive downfall for us tbh .! Very selfish .

Other than this let down the holiday was really good definitely recommend this hotel and pool facilities

Hotel is based along the main strip, so shops and restaurants are pretty close. Not long a walk to the beach, very nice and friendly people. Would highly recommend going here, had an awesome stay

Fantastic family hotel. Pools hit with kids .staff work hard. Lovely snacks at bar .chips. toastys ,burgers hotdogs and nice ice cream included esp pirelo brand. Lovely cocktails .Good entertainment. Had a amazing time, and we will be back!
