Friendly staff, good variety of food! But the facility need an upgrade

Staff were extremely nice and friendly! Food was good with good variety. However, I was not pleased with the overall condition of my room. For instance no automatic closing mechanism for the main entrance door of the room, the toilet door was not closing and opening easily! No drying rack for clothes in balcony. The room water boiler for making tea was very basic with no tea bag or no coffee provided...

Good I really like this hotel and enjoyed the stay. Excellent food, but could vary more ( I was there for 2 weeks and got very tired of it). Rooms start to need a renovation and modernize to 21st century (USBs, comfy chairs in rooms, more modern bathrooms and overall decor). Annoying noise from construction in building next door every day from around 9am.

A good option for a reasonable price

The breakfast was delicious, very plentiful and varied. The hotel is very large, close to a small supermarket and many restaurants. The taxi rank is right in front of the hotel, very convenient. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

Family room was OK. Not very spacious but not too small as well. Very convenient location - very close to Waterpark, superstore, gift shops and public beach. My stay at the Palace Meloneras was excellent overall. The room was good, and while the view wasn’t ideal it wasn’t a deal breaker. We were not happy with some aspects of this hotel. The television was reported 3 times as faulty, finally on the last day it worked! Staff are lovely, but the cleaning was very poor indeed. my family and i have been here around 10 times and have never been disappointed with these great family apartments.the rooms are in my opinion well serviced ,the balconies are big with beautiful views of the atlantic. the pools are cleaned every day and there are plenty of sunbeds.the food is as good as i have had in a 3 star establishment. the only thing missing now especially for regular customers...

Have just spent my 6th vacation in Sol. Barbacan. The Customer Service is just outstanding. From front desk staff , restaurant staff and most certainly house keeping, every query or request is dealt with efficiently and with. courtesy. We enjoyed our stay except the beds were quite hard. One thing we were not aware of coming from the USA was the electricity differences so we had to scramble to purchase adapters there for our electronics. They only have the 2 round plug ins.
