Gloria Izaro Club Hotel in Puerto del Carmen

I went here on a holiday with a group of adults. We had a great time. We had an apartment right by the pool which was great. Even if the pool was freezing We had a couple of complaints about the apartment, only 2 different sized wine glasses in an apartment for 4 people and nowhere to put your things in the bathroom. For 4 women it was a bit of a problem with all our lotions and potions. We also wished there was more hooks in the bathroom for hanging things. That said I would definitely return. I wouldn't stay here with my kids though as I dont think they would be very entertained here. The pool is rather small and they like slides etc. But I plan a solo trip in the future and this place felt safe and I would feel very comfortable staying there alone. The staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast was good although not as much choice as what im used to in a bigger hotel but still good. We didn't think much of where the entertainment was held as there's big pillars in the way so you can only see if you're sat right infront but unfortunately there's not many seats there. Overall a great place and we all said we would return.

We stayed here for a week and hit the jackpot with the weather! We liked the location of the hotel as it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle, so it's really quiet at night. However, everything you need is also close by and within walking distance. The only thing I would say is that the hotel is up quite a steep hill and we found walking around hilly full stop. We're able and have no mobility issues, so this wasn't an issue for us. The pool was absolutely freezing! Which is a real shame as it meant we barely used it and throughout the day it was quiet in the pool, but sunbeds around the pool were still taken. On this note, as is usual for so many places, many beds were taken but nobody was in sight or on them, which is infuriating. Luckily for us, our children are able swimmers and don't need us as close to the pool, so the two times we did use the pool, we got beds. Food at the hotel was overall good, more so for the evening. Breakfast was ok, but I really missed the wider selection of pastries and breads available that we have had at other hotel stays. There was also limited cereal choice. In the evening there was plenty of choice and children, who may be a little fussy, are certainly catered for well. The chef even offered to make chicken nuggets for our daughter one night, even though they were not on offer as part of the buffet. Although plentiful, the puddings on offer were on the whole terrible- definitely style of substance. They were also so similar and so bland! I had an almond swiss roll one evening and I didn't get a hint of almond! Staff at the hotel were all lovely, especially the waiting staff in the restaurant. The hotel felt quiet, even though it was fully booked, which we also preferred. I can highly recommend the cocktails frythe bar- they're great value for money and taste delicious too! The bar and restaurant area are modern and well decorated, but this is not mirrored in the rooms. Although the rooms are a great size, they are dated and tired. We had a great holiday in Lanzarote, but I'm not sure if we'll be returning any time soon.

Really smart and clean resort, very well maintained. Spacious accommodation and staff on duty 24hrs if you need anything. Only downsides were that despite good range of buffet food, it wasn’t very warm which spoilt enjoyment a bit. Also music being played around the pool was unnecessary and just stopped you from reading! I’m not sure there was anyone there who needed or wanted to listen to someone else’s choice of loud music. However we’d definitely return to the hotel

Our stay at the Gloria Izaro - 10 days half board - was everything we could have hoped for. Our Apartment was spacious, food very good, staff friendly and polite plus the cleanliness in all areas was exceptional. We will definitely return and in the meantime many thanks for a lovely stay.

All staff were friendly and helpful Food was very good, excellent choices of salads/yoghurts/ pizza/chips/veg/ meats/juices/cereals/bread/ bacon /sausage/eggs, and lots more- something for everyone at breakfast and evening meal . Staff worked hard and kept areas spotlessly clean Lovely pool area and pool bar with good prices for a hotel Evening bar staff were also friendly and helpful Room cleaned every day with clean towels and bins emptied Excellent comfortable sun loungers, luckily not too busy so plenty choice Reception will call you a taxi if required ( steep banks to walk) , they also sell large bottles of water ( saves you carrying them) All money spent in hotel bar etc is either by card or charge to room Only negative I have emailed hotel 3 times since our return on 21st November re an item left in room ( extremely sentimental) my friend has also emailed them twice- still no response- extremely disappointed with customer service

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms ,very comfortable bed,staff was really friendly had no problems while staying there,

Keep up the good work Izaro Club you are all doing a fantastic job. We have stayed here many times and are returning this Sunday for what we believe to be our 10th visit. The apartments are spacious, clean and modern and have everything you need for a self catering holiday. The pool area is well kept with a lifeguard on duty every day. Breakfast is excellent and so is the poolside snack bar. We can't fault this place at all which is why we keep on returning

The friendliness of the staff and the locals ,absolutely brilliant people A lovely apartment on ground floor beside the pool ,loads of people from Ireland there that were a great laugh ,a few glaswegians turned up the last 3 days of our stay ,very noisy lol but again a good laugh . Food in Hotel was good as well, but we did eat out local a lot & that was superb food . A guy on site (Raphael) was the entertainments man ,from water polo -darts -water aerobics to quizzes and music he did it all on his own . Well worth the money for ten days & made it better the airport was only 25 mins away lol. Such a clean resort ,the cleaning guys and ladies never stopped . As for noise ,just a normal resort with children and families ,it's what we go away for isn't it so a bit of noise don't matter . I for one will be going back to that place Gloria izaro club hotel
