Amor Villa in Unawatuna

We recently spent a few days at this hotel located right on the seashore and were very satisfied with our choice. The first thing that caught our attention was the stunning view from the window of the endless sea horizon and the sound of the waves, creating an incredibly relaxing atmosphere.

The room was spacious, bright, and very clean, with a modern design and comfortable furniture. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay: air conditioning, a safe, a minibar, and free Wi-Fi that worked perfectly. Daily cleaning was done without intrusive interruptions, adding a pleasant feeling of coziness.

The hotel staff deserve special praise — everyone was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The reception quickly answered any questions and assisted with organizing excursions or transfers.

Breakfasts were varied and delicious: fresh vegetables, fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and local delicacies. It was especially nice to have breakfast on the terrace with a sea view, starting the day with a beautiful sunrise.

The hotel offers excellent facilities: its own sandy beach with comfortable loungers and umbrellas, always well-maintained and not crowded. For active guests, there are water sports and equipment rentals. The hotel also has a swimming pool, spa, and several cozy cafes.

The location is very convenient — shops, several restaurants with local cuisine, and beautiful walking areas along the coast are within walking distance.

Overall, the stay at this hotel left only positive impressions. It is a perfect place for those who want to enjoy comfort and the beauty of a seaside holiday in a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to the sea!

We had the best time ever! I found the hotel by walking by on the beach. I loved the palm garden with the pool straight away.
We got the best room of the hotel which is No. 108 in our eyes. First we planed to stay 1 night...in the end we stayed 5.
The view from room 108 is stunning. Having Tee or Coffee outside on the balcony with this paradise view and the sound of the ocean is priceless.
If you spend time at Amor Villa don’t miss the food. We highly recommend the traditional SriLanka Curry.
The whole staff is really lovely. The manager of the hotel looked after us like a brother und arranged many things for us. We can’t say Thank you enough.
But again thank you so much for the great time we had at your house!
We hope we can come back as soon as possible.

Absolutely loved the location! The dutch styled villa is absolutely beautiful. All but one staff member were immensely courteous. Loved ease of access to the beach, pool side and Unawatuna town. Breakfast options are limited but quite satisfied with lunch variety.

The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the overall environment was calm and relaxing — perfect for a quiet getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a pleasant stay

I wound like to give this hotel 10 points of 10 possible 🧡🥰! 1) incredibly beautiful views - for those who want to immerse themselves in real nature (photos and videos are attached) 2) here is a private pool 🏊‍♀️ with lighting - you can swim even at night 3) friendliest staff - I have never seen such an attitude anywhere 4) excellent location - there are bays for calm swimming nearby, as well as restaurants and shops. An unforgettable vacation at the end of the earth 🧡🧡🧡

It's a small, quiet, and very cozy hotel - a beautifully restored colonial-era building that still preserves the spirit and charm of the old times. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. A special thanks to Kamal, the manager, who was always polite, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed.

Amazing stay! We had a room just a few meters from the ocean – waking up to the sound of the waves was unforgettable. The manager Boa is super kind and helpful. Perfect place to relax by the beach

It was a good stay. The room was comfortable and clean. However, there are a few things that need to be addressed. There are no plug points, except just 2, into which the bedside lamps were plugged in. No place to plug any computer or even a phone charger unless you have a multi socket adapter. Breakfast was good and generous.

Fabulous stay. Few minutes walk to the beach and many great restaurants nearby. Lovely breakfast and all staff really friendly. Powercuts were a bit of a pain but once the generator kicked in it wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was good, breakfast was until 11am & we don’t do early but we never felt rushed. Great place to stay in every way.

Wonderful guest house with personal service. The staff is so friendly and will do anything for you. Rooms are clean and breakfast great. Its a 2min walk to Unawatuna Beach. If you value peace and a good nights sleep, still in the center of everything- this the place to stay. You will not regret it. Its my third stay at Norlanka, and Im defenately coming back!

Fantastic hotel at a nice price, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good, and the staff feels like family! Two minute walk to the beach. It has a nice atmosphere, and some cosy places to sit with friends and enjoy some drinks and the view. I doubt you can find a better hotel at this price!
