Sumittaya Chiangmai Hotel in Chiang Mai City

Its the second time im staying in this place, the rooms are big and clean though not much sunlight but it's alright in a way.
The downside is that the fan in the bathroom when it's lit for longer time I kind of brings smells from other bathrooms!?
Sooo, yes that's a bit bad, also for some reason I couldn't connect my laptop to the Internet there as it is a one time password Internet option.
That made me work outside in a cafe.
Was quite inconvenient.
The location thought is very good, the rooms are spacious, nice setting, and nice balcony where you can sit.

The room I stayed in had very little natural light, so I constantly had to use artificial lighting. After every shower, a large puddle of water remained on the bathroom floor, which took a long time to dry and caused a damp smell. The plumbing also had strange water pressure and made noticeable noise when the shower was turned on.

The hotel has a good location, but there appears to be a school or educational facility nearby. On a couple of mornings between 7 and 8 a.m., loud announcements and music from a loudspeaker made it difficult to sleep.

Throughout all five days of my stay, it was clear that the sound insulation is very poor. I could regularly hear neighbors sneezing, coughing, and making other unpleasant noises.

One night, the hotel staff decided to hold a celebration. I expected it to end around 10 p.m., as most guests usually want to rest after that time. However, the noise continued well past 11 p.m. and even after midnight. The staff were outside, talking loudly, laughing, and playing music, which made it impossible for me to sleep. Eventually, I had to go downstairs and ask one of the employees to tell his colleagues to keep the noise down, and only after that did it stop.

Overall, the hotel is decent for the price, and the staff are quite pleasant to deal with, but I would not stay there again.

Studio room was fine overall - bedsheets and towels were clean
But sound isolation is basically nonexistent. You hear everything your neighbors do, from all sides.
Big issue we had with the bathroom: water leaks from the shower partition into the toilet area, and it doesn’t drain properly. Then it starts leaking into the room through the sliding door. Reception couldn’t change our room, so we had to ask for a mop and clean it ourselves. 😕
