An excellent stay in Villa Thapae. The thing that sets Villa Thapae apart is their staff. They are so kind and helpful, we really regretted not spending our 6 nights in Chiang Mai there. Location is excellent, so close to the old town. Rooms a little basic, but for the price there can be no complaints. Nice to have a pool to dip into a well, although a tad chilly for my wife, I enjoyed a refreshing dip.
All in all a great stay, would be happy to stay there again when in Chiang Mai.

I found this hotel on my first trip to Chiang Mai. The receptionists were very welcoming, and one of them even spoke Chinese. I recommend it to travelers who prefer something a little less crowded and have a unique experience.

I stayed in a poolside room for two nights. Although the room was a bit dim, the environment was quiet, clean, and safe. My two children had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. This was the most unforgettable thing for me on this trip. The manager and service staff were very friendly and I will visit again if I have the chance.

The hotel is located near Thapae Gate, but the quietness at night and the small number of rooms are a big advantage. It is convenient for visiting the night market, and there are many choices of delicious food and massage shops. The service staff are warm and attentive!

Except for the dim lighting and no one at the front desk at night, the whole room is really beautiful and quiet because there are few guests😌

We had a very quirky room with funny stairs. It’s a small hotel, no food or drinks are being served tho. The staff went above and beyond to help us arrange a myriad of excursions and activities.

We stayed at the duplex villa. Thankful that an extra bed is setup for my 6 year old even though we did not request for it. Location is conveniently located 2mins walk to Thapae gate.
