Lanna Oriental Hotel in Chiang Mai City

This place is very comfortable to stay in and the service is good

We stayed here for 4 nights and main issue is that amenities are quite outdated. Shower floor didn’t drain quick enough and became like a mini swimming pool. Bed had a loose spring and scraped my leg. However, the staff provided great service and are very friendly. When notified about the bed spring issue, they got someone to fix it straight away. Amenities really needs to be updated as they are quite old.

The hotel i ms located in a great place near not only the main landmarks but also Nimman neighborhood, which is amazing, at a walking distance. A small but comfortable pool and a good gym. Breakfast is ok, enough variety and quality. We also took a massage from the centre at the hotel, really satisfying.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lanna Oriental Hotel in Chiang Mai. The hotel combines beautiful Lanna-style architecture with modern comfort, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

The room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly decorated with local Northern Thai touches. The bed was very comfortable, and all amenities were well-prepared — from the air conditioning and minibar to the bathroom essentials. Everything felt clean, calm, and thoughtfully designed.

The location couldn’t be better — right in the Old City, close to temples, cafés, and the Sunday Walking Street Market. It’s convenient yet peaceful, making it easy to explore Chiang Mai by foot or short tuk-tuk rides.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Their smiles and genuine hospitality made me feel truly welcome. They also provided great local tips and assistance with transportation and tours.

Breakfast and facilities were excellent. The variety of Thai and international dishes was fresh and delicious. The rooftop pool was a lovely place to unwind after sightseeing, and the small gym was well-maintained.

Overall, my experience was beyond expectations — perfect for both leisure and cultural travelers. I highly recommend Lanna Oriental Hotel to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable, and authentic Chiang Mai stay. I’ll definitely return on my next visit!

Stayed 2 nights, Nice hotel, room spacious,no balcony though(didn't book it). Bed comfy. We had an issue with the air con, it wasn't working correctly,luckily we found a fan in the room and this helped with the heat at night. Restaurant on site and food was delicious, I recommend the sweet and sour dolly fish! Breakfast available also however everything was cold and this happened on 2 mornings, dunno why this was but not good. Located near the moat, in good area,plenty temples nearby. Pool on site with pool bar, small but no issues with it.

We had a very lovely stay at the hotel. The room was big enough and we had everything we needed. We were very well welcomed and the staff even prepared a to go breakfast for us as we had a very early departure. When we had our breakfast at the hotel in the morning I found the breakfast buffet well prepared with lots of options (less occidental options of course but for those who criticise, if you’re in a foreign country it is your duty to adapt to the customs of the here-mentioned country not their duty to adapt to you, especially when the majority of their guests are Asian as well). All in all we had a great stay and we loved the pool as well.
