A Perfect Family Stay in Chiang Mai

Looking back on our trip to Chiang Mai, I truly think Oriental Siam Resort was the best part of our journey.

We traveled as a big family — nine of us including my mother and my sister’s family — and it turned out to be such a joyful and relaxing experience. The kids had so much fun going back and forth between the second-floor rooms, playing together and enjoying their little adventures. In the evenings, we gathered in the upstairs corridor, ordered food through Grab, shared some dishes, and even enjoyed a glass of whisky together. Those moments felt incredibly special and unforgettable.

The staff at the resort were exceptionally kind and attentive. We had a small issue during our stay, but it was handled so professionally and perfectly that we were truly impressed. Their warmth and genuine care made us feel very welcome.

The resort itself is peaceful and quiet — an ideal place to rest while still being perfectly located for exploring Chiang Mai. It offered the perfect balance between relaxation and convenience.

If you’re looking for a calm, family-friendly place with outstanding service in Chiang Mai, I highly recommend Oriental Siam Resort.

We had a wonderful stay at Oriental Siam Resort in Chiang Mai! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beautifully, offering a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The location is peaceful and quiet, about a 20-minute drive from the city center, which was perfect for us. The resort is also very child-friendly, making it an ideal choice for families. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to return!

Nat, Kobby and the team have created something special here. The layout and grounds of the property are beautiful and the villas are clean and well appointed. They are a bit older, but that's absolutely fine as a modern room wouldn't really suit considering the surroundings. There's not a whole lot to do nearby but it's the perfect place to relax and an easy grab ride away from town. The staff are amazing and always offerred to keep my kids entertained while we ate breakfast or had massages in the villa.
Breakfast could get a bit repetitive if staying for awhile but it was always delicious. Recommend eating at the restaurant too as it has the perfect ambience.

Almost felt like staying with family. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From we first checked in to when we left, we felt genuine warmth, and that they enjoyed working in hospitality. It was quiet and calm, and the location was just long enough outside the city to feel like an oasis, and just close enough that we felt in the city. Great experience. Thank you for welcoming us!

A Splendid Experience at an Idyllic Resort

For two months, my family and I had the pleasure of enjoying the beauty and hospitality of this resort. What a privilege it was to stay in different villas, tailored to our ever-changing group of 4, 3, 2, or occasionally just 1 person. This flexibility truly made our stay special.

The resort is absolutely breathtaking: a lush green oasis filled with trees, vibrant flowers, a variety of butterflies and birds, and a waterfall feeding into a pond where fish swim peacefully. The villas are scattered throughout the tropical garden, which is maintained daily, and radiate a charm that is hard to capture in photos. The stay was a real joy for all four of us, offering exactly the peace and tranquillity we were longing for.

What will stay with us most, however, is the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Everything was arranged with care and love, and we always felt welcome. After a few weeks, it even began to feel like home. The breakfast, with fresh fruit always beautifully laid out, and the dinners on the veranda at the idyllic restaurant overlooking the pond, were unforgettable.

The balance between relaxing by the pool, day trips into town (only 15 minutes away by Grab), excursions organised from the resort, and enjoying the serenity of the grounds made our experience of Chiang Mai and its surroundings truly complete. This resort offered the perfect mix of luxury and comfort.

A special thank you to Nat, Mr Kobby, Sunny, and the whole team for making our stay so unforgettable. We will definitely be returning!

Stay in the Orchid Villa, with front and rear platforms, independent cloakroom, and spacious bathroom. Very clean and comfortable, but the air conditioner blowing directly to the head of the bed was a bit uncomfortable. The hotel garden is beautiful and tidy, with clever layout and well-organized outdoor leisure spaces. Every day you wake up to the fragrance of flowers and the chirping of birds. There are two clean outdoor swimming pools and a large children's play space, which is very suitable for walking children. The best thing is the staff, they are polite and friendly, making you feel at home. I caught a cold in the last two days. The boss Nat was very concerned about me and helped me find medicine and gave suggestions and help. Thank you very much. The location is a bit far from the ancient city and Ningman Road, so it won't affect surrounding travel. It was a great experience staying here for 7 days. I will choose to stay here again next time.

Booked two rooms, not bad. It has good sound insulation, a large area, water and disposable items. It costs 200 baht to take a taxi from the old town. A couple stayed there for a month, but the children are older. The game facilities are suitable for kindergarten and primary school.
