Aside from the breakfast being a bit basic, everything else is fine. Walking west along the beach, there's a reasonably priced beach restaurant.

The hotel was nice Not all staff speak Thai , a bit shame because it s Thailand. Very quiet and only 4 other people stay at the hotel. The restaurant was only open untill 20. Not clean the beach every day

Splurge on the beach bungalow. So gorgeous. Have dinner on the beach and aim for sunset as the resort lives up to its name!

While the hotel is a bit older, it's perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff is exceptional, with a rare kindness

Great quiet place, beach, stunning sunset! Room with jacuzzi and super design, very bright, evokes emotions! We were there for the night from September 2-3, alone in the hotel, full privacy!

What did we get upon arrival? An upgrade to a higher category, a welcome plate of fruit, a colorfully decorated room, the launch of a lantern in the evening, and of course, smiles. This is how Sunset Beach greeted us

This is a wonderful hotel right on the seashore – the view is breathtaking! However, you can only swim during high tide; at low tide, you have to walk to the neighboring beach, which is about a 10-minute stroll

The room is spacious! Sometimes hotel rooms barely fit a bed, but this was completely different – you could practically dance in it! We had two rooms connected by a wide corridor that featured a built-in kitchen

The bathroom was large, with a roomy shower cabin, a bathtub, and a full-wall mirror – very convenient. All necessities were provided in the room, and there's a laundry service available on the hotel premises

Breakfasts were good and hearty. The staff was incredibly responsive and friendly. We were especially touched by the breakfast they packed for us when we had to leave at 5 AM 🙏🏻👍🙌🏻

My wife was constantly shaking in fear in her sleep. )) I had to pay extra to avoid arguing (even though I love that) and not having to hear in response that all the rooms were occupied

We paid 2000bhat to upgrade to a bungalow. The bungalow was amazing, it was clean and comfortable. The bed was perfect and had really good air conditioning, nice big window and a nice balcony

Right on the party street – extremely convenient. But only after I replaced the ancient bungalow with the updated 123!! for 400 baht!! Yes, they don't list that price for a bungalow

I had an amazing stay at the Evergreen in Koh Samui! The location is absolutely stunning, right next to the beach, making it incredibly convenient and picturesque

Probably the best swimming spot on Chaweng beach, lovely restaurant on the beach front or actually on the beach if you want for breakfast or dinner, happy hour cocktails all day!

Perfect location, close to everything. The rooms are away from the street, quiet in the night. Restaurant right beside the beach, so much to do or just chilling up to you. Good service.

The hotel is amazing, beach connected to hotel which is a plus, shops are 5/10min walk but you can hire bikes and motorbikes for relly cheap and go where you want which is great, staff at hotel are very friendly and helpfull

The resort sits in an excellent micro-location, with accommodation plus office/reception in a leafy forest on one side of the road and the restaurant, bar and pools on the other side by the very nice beach, connected by a tunnel

Facilities: The beachside pools are dated, poorly designed (no ladder or steps at all into or out of one of them!), and of unreliable levels of cleanliness. The surrounding grassy area is ill-kept

After I checked out, my pre-booked return bus from another company didn't show up on time, and the front desk staff went out of their way to help me resolve the issue

There were one or two mosquitoes in the room, but a little insect repellent took care of them. The hotel is conveniently located near Chaweng Beach, with plenty of food options nearby

I chose this hotel for an overnight stay because I had an early morning flight the next day. It was relatively inexpensive and close to the airport. The environment was nice, very clean and hygienic

They also have a scheduled shuttle service to Central Mall, which you can book in advance, making it very convenient. It was quite quiet at night, and I slept really well

What impressed me most was the incredibly thoughtful and kind front desk service. Knowing we had an early flight, they helped us book a car to the airport for 6 AM, and the price was reasonable

We stayed 5 nights here and enjoyed it. The staff, service and grounds are wonderful and professional. The included breakfast is quite good

We recently stayed at Samet Cabana Resort on Ao Wong Duean, and it was exactly the tropical escape we were looking for. We booked the Beach Cabana, and we cannot recommend it enough

The Room: Staying in the Beach Cabana meant waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Stepping out onto the porch with a view of the ocean was the highlight of the trip

The Location: Ao Wong Duean is a fantastic beach, it’s lively enough to have good restaurants and fire shows at night, but much more relaxed than the busy main pier area

The breakfast buffet had a good mix of options to start the day. If you are coming to Koh Samet, do yourself a favour and splurge a little for the Beach Cabana

The breakfast is very nice and offers a great variety for all. However, with 2 kids that don't really eat too much it's not something we opt for anymore in our later visits and instead seek breakfast options outside

The staff is well trained to pay attention to your needs and are motivated and friendly. The Kids always love playing on the inflatable bouncing islands though some years they are better maintained than others

Regardless the kids large water fountain/bubble is always popular and not too hot in the afternoon as it's in shade of trees and building. Food prices are a little high within the hotel

Our room was beautifully designed and truly impressive. The very high ceilings gave it an open and elegant feeling, and there were many small, thoughtful details that made the room feel special and unique

Rayavadee was an absolute dream for our honeymoon. The setting is unreal - surrounded by limestone cliffs, lush greenery, and some of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen. It feels incredibly private and peaceful

We also did a private boat tour to the phi phi islands, which was a huge highlight, and our guide, Todd, made it truly special. Exploring the nearby islands this way was unforgettable and we loved every moment

Seeing monkeys roaming the property made the experience even more special and unique. The staff were fantastic - so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout our stay

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! So beautiful and lush. The location is incredible, having a private lounge area right on Phra Nang beach is so valuable it is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen

You can borrow a kayak for free, which I would highly recommend. They provide complementary drinking water. They have complementary afternoon tea three days a week. You have access to three beautiful beaches

Our 4 night stay at Rayavadee was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Its located between dramatic limestone cliffs and three pristine beaches

Only one negative is unfortunately about that our room had a few mosquitoes and this kept me awake at night for some time. Hope they have ways to handle this in the future

We stayed at Praseban 1 week in January 2026 and enjoyed everything from the moment we arrived until we left. We didn't want to leave and want to come back

It is one of these places you'd like to keep as your gem but they deserve everyone to hear about their uniqueness: location almost on the beach and the beach is beautiful - great for swimming, walking and running and hardly any people; the staff wants to do everything to make your vacation memorable; the resort with their few rooms is so nicely and uniquely done with many traditional and stylish design...

Staying in a Beach Villa this was amazing. From the lovely staff to the beautiful room. Bed was nice and 3 area's where to hang out just says enough. Make 25 steps and you're on the beach and in the sea

The location is peaceful, yet still close to the beach and local attractions. Overall, it felt like a private, luxurious escape, and I would definitely come back

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks and we could not have picked a better location, the room was spacious and clean, the grounds were well maintained the pool areas were clean with plenty of sun loungers the beach restaurant was sea facing with very good food with great service from Nim and her team with the added bonus of sipping a cocktail whilst watching the amazing sunset

The location on the beach front is amazing and our bungalow was set amongst the lush greenery close to the lagoon. Our accommodation was excellent, with lovely comfortable beds and every amenity included

We had an amazing stay at Wanaburee Resort in Khao Lak and couldn’t recommend it more. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush trees and nature, with the beach right on your doorstep

Our expectations were far exceeded by the location, the wonderful staff, comfortable accommodation, and the surrounding nature, not to mention, the resorts location on the beautiful beach

Wondering around the resort was always a joy and we found many things to enjoy when using the many different routes to and from our room. We really cannot thank everyone enough for making our stay an amazing one

I had just a lovely stay here! It has a beautiful beach (arguably the nicest beach we saw on the island) and incredibly friendly staff! It was in a great location with a boardwalk and hike to a viewpoint to look down on Koh Phangan

The hotel consists of individual villas, surrounded by a lot of greenery, which is quite beautiful! It's very close to the beach, separated by just a road from the accommodations and breakfast area

Still pretty new so don’t expect everything to be perfect. This beach is better than any other beach in phuket and I’ve stayed at them all (been to phuket more than 10x). I love how private the beach and hotel feels

On the second day, we found two cockroaches. Pros: close proximity to the beach, cleanliness on the beach. The mattresses on the sun loungers were so bad that we had to leave our belongings on the edge

From the next room, we could clearly hear sounds, including the toilet flushing and sounds from the bathroom. The room wasn't exactly spotless – mold on the bathroom ceiling, dirty bedding, and only two tired towels

The sounds of cars and bikes could be heard from the main street (since we were staying at the hotel during the off-season, music from clubs and bars was inaudible; during peak season, I imagine it would be much louder)

The pool, with it's sheer drop edge overlooking Lamai beach from the hill is fabulous! The food is great, with a mix of real traditional Samui style Thai food and all your western standards

Arrived here two days ago for a five night stay We stayed in beach bungalow the bungalows are dated but spotless cannot fault them at all beds changed every day plus clean towels bottled water put in the fridge the cleaner singing as she is cleaning Breakfast good choice enough to keep you going for the day

We discussed this with front desk staff and the response we got was something like “this is normal” - Some of the towels are threadbare and not so white anymore - The toilet seat was the wrong size and very loose - The coffee at the breakfast buffet was weak and watery

We stayed 3 nights at Lanai Coconut resort. The resort is centrally located and is on a really nice section of the beach. We stayed in the newer 4 story building on the 4th floor

Had evening meal in the restaurant Kong in the restaurant was amazing decorated our table with flowers the meal was fantastic. Sorry the stay is short but hopefully will be back

Like other hotels in this class, they should invest in an automatic espresso machine for the buffet - The shampoo and body soap comes in these tiny wasteful bottles instead of dispensers

Very uncomfortable and definitely something that could be improved. The walk down to the beach and back is quite exhausting with a lot of stairs

The reason : the front desk (where the phone is) is closed so the reception is at the restaurant (but no phone there). They could transfer calls to a mobile phone

During a long stay, linen was changed only once, and it was a gray set. Pillowcases weren't changed automatically; you had to ask. The air conditioner isn't working properly; it's dusty and moldy inside

Apparently, it hasn't been cleaned in 14 years. The path to the sea is shared, and the beach is overcrowded

During our 3 days stay the white wine was dold out and on the last day no more beach towels available as they were all at laundry service. Apart from this it was OK to stay

We saw that the price would have been 13'000 baht on Booking or Agoda. The service didn't feel very client oriented at the reception. Location: Location was great for us as it was directly by the beach we liked

It's located at one of the best beaches on the island and there's no noise from bars like on other beaches. It's actually more of a hideaway than a party resort and this is what we were looking for

The restaurant otherwise was good and I did feel a bit sorry for them as it was always empty as there are other restaurants along the beach for a fraction of the price so everyone seemed to go there

We booked the garden view bungalow and it was as expected regarding the fair price. Clean place, free water daily, had no issues. There's plenty of stuff to choose from, including freshly made egg varieties and such
