But for a peaceful stay, it’s perfect—and honestly one of the best hotels we’ve experienced in Thailand so far. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are spacious and beautifully designed
We would definitely come back on our next trip!
The only thing to note is the beach bar could reconsider the music choices, no need for club house when there's 3 people at the beach chilling
Everything was absolutely amazing 🤩
Resort was really very amazing, upto the mark, full privacy and beach view was also good.
It was a treat to eyes. We had a room with pool excess and we really enjoyed alot. Must visit with family.
The location is awesome, close to beach, town and yet private and quiet. Staff are kind, welcoming and very helpful!
Immaculately clean, with fresh towels provided daily
Good service and facilities. Beach us excellent. Tge foid at restaurant could be better in terms of taste and prices are quite expensive. Breakfast buffet is good selection.
Excellent, excellent Beach And the surrounding islands add to the atmosphere, excellent food, and fun you can take free canoe and sap, the pools are excellent
View from the room was amazing. Also, the hote beach was amazing.
Club status is the way to go! Free lunch and dinner with alcoholic beverages! Nice beach with good depth for swimming in, pools, pool bar, and live entertainment (singer).
All was great. Direct access to the beach,
The room was big and clean,
Three pools, with restaurants and bars next to them offering happy hour

Whilst the hotel is a bit dated, and where I was staying was up a number of stairs, the rooms were clean and beds comfy. Rooms were serviced daily with fresh bath and beach towels
The downside as others have mentioned is that it is on the main ring road with no footpaths so it is hard to get to restaurants and shops without either taking a grab, braving the highway, or walking down the beach and cutting through another resort
Five night stay at Impiana in a sea view room. Location is at the quiet end of Cheweng Noi so many times especially early in the morning it felt like you had the beach to yourself
The included breakfast was excellent and the meal we had in the restaurant was also good. Other dining options are available at other hotels via the beach
We enjoyed having dinks and playing pool at the beach bar in between swimming in the ocean or pool and having a massage on the beach next to the resort
Even just being able to briefly explain the key points would have been helpful. It seems the hotel doesn't see the need to train its front desk staff in Chinese due to the relatively low number of Chinese tourists
Conversely, because it's not a Chinese-friendly hotel, most Chinese tourists are less inclined to choose it, creating a mutually reinforcing cycle that's unlikely to be resolved anytime soon
I was pleasantly surprised to encounter two non-frontline staff members who proactively approached me in Chinese to ask if I needed assistance and could even have a simple conversation
We will definitely come again. In close proximity are cheaper beach bars and also a very nice restaurant (Pam's restaurant) that even arranges a free shuttle
The service was impeccable; the staff were patient, responsible, and very nice. The environment and facilities were excellent, and the cleanliness was good
The gym is superb, and the beach facilities—including the sunscreen, towel service, and water—were a great touch. However, our room was located next to an employee/service road, which made it quite noisy at times

Last but not least I would like to say a big big thank you to Nisa and Axel, who are some of the kindest people I know and loved to spend time with them! Hopefully I will see the two of you very soon again!
Exceptional hotel! Went with my wife and the hotel, service, food and activities are fantastic. Would definitely recommend! Bonus is all the food is halal! Perfect hotel for a romantic, luxury stay.
My dad and I stayed at the Ritz/Carlton spontaneously for a short one week getaway. And I have to give the highest praise to the whole team. Everything was lovely from start to finish
The property is very grand, here for the hotel offers a buggy service, which is very convenient! The pool area is also very nice, though the beach a bit less since the sand is a bit grainy
For our stay we booked a twin room with ocean view (we there were two fresh cocnuts witing for us!) and the room was absolutey fantastic. Now onto the breakfast, that was amazing as well
30 it might get a bit crowded and waiting times a bit longer, but we're talking about a few minutes here, so it really wasn't a problem

The pool villa is a perfect choice for couples looking to enjoy a private and romantic hotel stay. It offers great comfort, privacy, and a serene setting that makes the experience feel special and intimate
Every interaction felt professional, warm, and attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Avani+ Samui Resort for couples or anyone seeking a high-quality, relaxing luxury getaway
I had a rental car and I was very happy. - beach: not suitable for swimming because very shallow but I could still enjoy stand-up paddleboard instead
The service throughout the resort is absolutely top-notch. My expectations were already high, but the staff went above and beyond and truly exceeded them
We had the BEST BLOODY time here!! We didn’t want to come home! First of all - the service was amazing
If you're looking to go to one hotel location and stay there for your visit then this is an excellent spot for you. The rooms were incredible, the bed very comfortable, the amenities and activities were top notch
The resort is located on a private beach, and the only way to reach it is by taking a boat from Nopparat Thara Beach, which takes about 15 minutes. Because of this, the resort feels very peaceful and secluded
The hotel is pretty nice overall, right on the beach with a really wide beachfront. The beach is swimmable and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea vibes. The atmosphere at night is also really lovely
The beach is long, quiet, and very beautiful with clear water. However, there are no fish or coral right in front of the beach
I recommend following the monkey trail when going to the city, it should be safe even during the night. All in all, i felt like i was in While Lotus season 3. Would love to come back here sometimes in the future!
I don't know why the negative reviews. Excellent location with complimentary boat shuttle. Everyone at this place was kind. The service was good and the food was excellent. Including the breakfast buffet
The breakfast was loaded with multiple types of food, even lunch dishes. The rooms were very elegant and the terrace was immersive and made you feel like you were in the jungle

Only downside is all the Swedish people who leave their pool towels to "reserve" themselves sunbeds by the pool - for HOURS, resulting in irritation among guests
If you arrive early, bring a small bag and head to the pool, beach or many restaurants nearby
Our favourite hotel on this beach. There is a complementary breakfast served in the reception area until 11. 30 AM (highly recommend the "Chinese bread sticks/doughnuts")
Nice hotel in Lanta, North of the island near the beach, shops and restaurants. Inifinity pool is lovely and warm. You need to cross the only main road to get to the beach.
Really nice. The beds are a bit too hard for my taste. Rooms are excellent. Great location. Only minus is that you have to cross a big road to get to the beach.
Pros : a nice view from the room with a great hotel location since its near the beach. Cons: no support after 7 pm, Infact no one is available at the reception as well

I must say that the upgrade was not that noticeable, and we didn’t fell the difference in the rooms. The pool is pretty small and can get crowded, but beach is super close which is amazing
Rooms were very clean, with fresh towels and beach towels provided daily. The staff was friendly, and the resort itself was beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of plants, which I really enjoyed
The rooms are great, comfortable beds and great AC. Pool is a bit small but very beautiful and inviting. Beach access is great and comfortable. Food in the restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is rich and tasty
Had a really good time during the two nights we spent here. Everyone was so kind and always greeted us, making us feel welcome here. We got to enjoy both the pool and the beach right in front of the resort
Banana fan was amazing! The staff were extremely helpful, the room was clean and well kept, and the pool/beach area was great. This was the nicest place we stayed throughout 3 weeks in Thailand
Unfortunately, there were some longer waiting times when ordering drinks, but overall, the staff was very polite and professional. The beach was also lovely, and I would definitely come back
The hotel is beachfront, has several on-site restaurants, and the breakfast was great. We didn’t mind the location as we rented a motorcycle just a minute away
We had dinner there for 2 nights and throughly enjoyed it. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. The only con I would say is the beach, it’s rocky and made it barely possible to enjoy a swim to cool off
Negatives:
Our villa shared a wall with another pool villa, and there’s a door connecting them, so we could hear the neighbors. The pool wasn’t fully private — we could see into another villa and they could see us
The room was comfortable and the daily cleaning was timely. The grounds were well kept with beautiful landscaping
The breakfast was delicious and varied, the drinks were well made and well priced
Other notes:
Since it’s a ground-floor/garden villa, expect to see insects and reptiles. We saw several lizards, a toad, a couple of crickets, and lots of mosquitoes — definitely bring repellent
We stayed at this resort for our first stop in Thailand with the intention of having a quiet, relaxing place to get over jet lag. This was exactly what we needed

Final Thoughts:
While the staff (with one exception) and food were commendable, and the location is excellent, the room comfort and overall value for money didn’t quite meet expectations
The room — Royal Suite with sea view — is beautiful! It was fantastic to have our own little outdoor area with a hot tub, and inside there is plenty of space and a large bathroom
The hotel grounds themselves feel like a peaceful oasis on Chaweng Beach. There are lots of trees, and it’s very green and lush. The pool and beach areas are nice
But when we arrived and saw the place in person, I was completely surprised and amazed by how beautiful and pleasant it actually was
Compared to that, Muang Samui doesn’t quite reach the same level, even though there is not much to criticize about the hotel on Koh Samui either
Excellent experience, rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The hotel is literally on the beach, the pool is great. Breakfast is tasty and offers lots of choices. Staff is very professional and thoughtful

Great place for a relaxing holiday.
The rooms are old, smell like insect repellent, very damp, and lack ventilation. They gave us a room with two beds, even though we booked a single bed. They changed the room after a long discussion at reception
The breakfast is mediocre, just eggs, bread, and fruit; everything else is spicy. The sea isn't very clean; you have to swim and shovel trash into it
The hotel exceeded all expectations. The best beach on Koh Samui and the best hotel. The service is unobtrusive, the grounds are spacious and well-maintained, and the main pool is clean
The hotel's beachfront location is stunning, providing breathtaking views and easy access to the ocean. However, a few areas need improvement
A wonderful hotel on the seashore. Large, well-maintained grounds. The room with pool access is large and appears to have two double beds, even though it's designed for two adults
Great view, and staff was hospitable! Pretty close to Kamala beach
It's not far from Patong Beach, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle while still being very convenient. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied
The rooms facing the road are a bit noisy. The rooms with a view are much better. Road-facing rooms aren't worth the price. The cleanliness is acceptable, but the disposable slippers are slippery when wet
The room was clean, the service met expectations, and the view was exceptional. However, the lobby felt somewhat uninspiring, and the facilities could offer more variety for the price paid
A small but beautiful hotel! The infinity pool is absolutely stunning, and all the staff are incredibly warm and attentive
The quality of the disposable amenities doesn't match a hotel of this caliber; they're really poor
Main hotel entrance from main road, only option as all other hotels also have private roads from and to the beach, which is normal in Samui but also annoying
Small walk through the garden down to the private beach and restaurant, entire beach only has 4-5 other very quiet hotels
We stayed 8 nights and would return due to peaceful setting and beach
This hotel is located on a wide, quiet sandy beach and met all our needs for a relaxing getaway. The spacious rooms, excellent service, and very friendly staff across all facilities are particularly noteworthy
Breakfast restaurant is great with good selection, pool bar is a little too expensive, but happy hour between 15-17. Fitness is ok but with basic machines needing a little update
Once you walk to the main road it has several good restaurants, 7-11 and ATMs. Walk to downtown is possible but takes 30-40 minutes, not really made for pedestrians
The pros: stunning location with 2 beaches, nestled in among the rocks and gorgeous coral in the bay. The breakfast was plentiful and good - lots of choices, buffet style
We stayed at this hotel from January 14th to 29th, 2026. The location is excellent, with a magnificent property and standalone bungalows. We stayed in a bungalow with a sea view
They even provide service call red taxi(no shuttle bus) but the staffs very helpful. I love the small private beach but also can access to big beach
Just returned from a week at this absolutely exceptional place and I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Thailand. If 10 stars were an option, this would get them without hesitation
We stayed in Room 105, a private villa with its own pool and stunning sea views, and it was nothing short of perfect. The villa was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully maintained
The bed was large and incredibly comfortable with amazing pillows, and the shower was excellent (a rare luxury after travelling around Thailand!)

The hotel itself was comfortable and well maintained, providing a relaxing base for our trip. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service in a beachside location
Jackson, one of the waiters, was also amazing, providing fantastic service and making our dining experiences extra special. The entire team at Dara Samui treated us like family, which made our holiday even more enjoyable
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were genuinely impressed by the level of service throughout our visit. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome
One of the best locations in Chaweng, third time at the hotel and I will return, good Thai breakfast, even a choice of egg types in the morning, a pool by the sea and a clean beach, excellent service in everything and they even kept our luggage for us on the trip to Koh Tao, recommended
The location is another major highlight is it is right on the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning swims and sunset strolls
The restaurant is great with lots of delicious meal options (the Mango sticky rice is the best we've tried by far!). Overall, a nice, affordable resort with character
That said, the resort may not be ideal for older guests or those with mobility issues, as getting around requires quite a bit of walking between facilities even with Bucky services
However, there are a few areas for improvement, primarily at breakfast
The hotel's design is excellent, and there's a golf shuttle that arrives promptly with just a call to the front desk! The hotel also offers a shuttle to and from Central Pattaya, but you need to book it in advance with the front desk
The breakfast spread is abundant; the noodle soup at the entrance had me hooked for two days straight. The Element restaurant is fantastic; all three dishes we ordered were top-notch
However, I often found small bugs in my food during breakfast, which was the only thing I disliked. Sometimes, getting a Grab from the hotel takes a bit longer. Walking out of the hotel isn't very convenient
Nice hotel with very helpful staffs. Peaceful feeling with sense of privacy didn’t feel like we are in pattaya at all. A little small beach due to the location of the hotel which locating on a cliff
The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, always ready to help with any request. The sunset sea view was absolutely stunning. Although the hotel isn't large, it's elegant and comfortable

The day before check-out, you can coordinate with the front desk about what time you'll need to go to the pier the next day, and they'll help you with your luggage
This was our second night's room, and it definitely wasn't as good as the honeymoon suite. The bathroom was quite cramped, and there were a few more mosquitoes
The pleasant surprise was that we could still catch a glimpse of the sea through the gaps from the front sea-view rooms. Overall, it's a very good value-for-money room
Overall, I was quite satisfied with this hotel and would choose it again for my next visit. This trip to Thailand was quite long, and I compared several apps for booking hotels and flights
We paid an extra 700 baht for the older child's extra bed and 300 baht for the younger child's breakfast
As the tide recedes, a dreamlike sand path extends into the turquoise sea; in the evening, you can immerse yourself in the most romantic moment of the day on your exclusive beach
The beach was almost empty, and there were hardly any vendors or boats, whereas I remember it being much livelier before. Still, this calmness had its own charm and made the stay even more relaxing
As a result I was unable to sleep well… the garden room should be named more or less the parking and main road room… the hotel WIFI is totally pathetic and you will need your own 5G to stay comfortably…
Having said that, breakfast was affordable (they had this buy one and get one free deal) and very nice
Although we booked a twin room, this room type was fully booked for some reasons and they offered a king room
Everything felt well maintained and cozy, so we felt at home right away. The only difference compared to my childhood memories was that we visited during the off-season
Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back again in the future!
The pools were great and my kids totally loved them. The hotel is very family friendly! I hope things will get better soon as we would like to come back again soon
This hotel was absolutely amazing! The location was an absolute oasis of calm and tranquility! We had a villa with a pool overlooking the sea which we used every day! Stunning beach which was very quiet and great for swimming
The food at the main restaurant was amazing, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tastes, offering and the quality of produce was truly outstanding. Lunch at the beach and by the pool were also great
We'd start the day by our pool in the villa, move down to the beach around lunch time and end the day by the fantastic infinity pool with an amazing sunset
We loved our stay at the Six Senses Samui and would love to go back. You could easily spend a week here without having the urge to leave the resort premises. The highlights for us were the variety of common areas
The only downside of the resort would be all the stairs, which were not fully ideal when travelling with a baby in a stroller. But the staff were again super helpful and accommodating
We were not as impressed with Dining on the rocks which is the more fine dining restaurant. We stayed in a hideaway villa, and loved both the interior and exterior
