Located in a quieter area, away from the tourist hustle and bustle, it's the ideal place to recharge and fully experience a different side of Thailand.

Aside from the breakfast being a bit basic, everything else is fine. Walking west along the beach, there's a reasonably priced beach restaurant.

In the back of this hotel is the intercontinental Hotel which comes for a multiple of the price. I would always prefer to ho back to this hotel. Generally we really enjoyed our stay. There are only 2 things that weren’t good. 1. The sound isolation. On our last day the people above us decided to drink and listen to loud music. The hotel is great, with an excellent location. There are also beach performances in the evenings. The service is good, and it's very close to the night market. It does stay lively and a bit noisy until after midnight, but overall, I'm very satisfied.

The hotel is really nice and the service is great. The staff was really thoughtful and available. We had a problem with electricity in the room, after reporting it to the reception a technician was at the room in the time it took me to get back to the room. The villa pool is great. Came here for a massage and for dinner Massage was in a room overlooking the ocean (I’m pretty sure there were no fish trying to spy on me) and was very relaxing. Poppies was the last stop on our honeymoon and a great choice for it. The site is right on the water, so you get to eat/drink at the restaurant or bar (or on the beach chairs) watching the ocean. Absolutely stunning hotel. Beautiful surroundings, staff very friendly and accommodating, rooms are very clean and cosy. This should be a 5 star hotel not a 4. Depends what you are looking for in a beach resort of this price range. Pros: clean, air con powerful and cool, strong water pressure and water heats fast. The hotel has seen better days. Facilties are old but works. Expect basic and you're fine. My major gripe is that I paid for a seaview room but I was allocated a room on level 3 with seaview barley in sight blocked by trees and building. Unless you're assigned a room on level 4 (the highest), I think it's not worth paying a premium for seaview.

Fantastic resort in a great location. My wife and I booked The Weekender and was very thrilled with our stay. The resort is beautiful, the beach is stunning with many bars and restaurants right outside along the main street. Cleaning is daily. The pool is also cleaned daily. There's security on site, and no one is allowed in. It's perfectly quiet and peaceful. The beach is a one-minute walk away.

Good location and friendly staff

The hotel is located on a lovely, quiet, and peaceful beach. Shops and cafes are within a 10-minute walk. However, the rooms themselves need renovation; the furniture is very worn, and all the plumbing is corroded. There are very few sun loungers on the beach, no more than 10, which isn't enough for all guests. I wish there were more.

This hotel choice was truly excellent! I booked two nights, one in a sea-view room and the other in a sea-view villa 🏠. I have to say, the rooms were actually better in person than in the hotel's promotional photos, which was a pleasant surprise! 👍🏼 The breakfast was good too, mostly à la carte, but the real highlight was the incredible view, which truly impressed me ✌️.

The view was absolutely stunning! We stayed in ocean view pool villa #28, and the mini-bar was generously stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks. We ate all three meals at the hotel, and the prices were reasonable, plus the restaurant had a beautiful view. In the afternoon, there was also free afternoon tea by the public pool.

We had the pleasure of staying in the two-bedroom apartments at Samui Green twice. The friendly staff made our check-in process a breeze, and the spacious and easily accessible rooms made us feel right at home. It was truly a home away from home for us on both occasions!

There are not a lot of access points to the beach as far as we could see, but this hotel is close to one, which is awesome. The room was clean, the bedding and beds are comfortable and clean. I heard online that the W Koh Samui is the worst, and I certainly experienced it firsthand. The facilities are outdated, and the front desk staff were just okay. When issues arose, they'd just make excuses, and even the managers couldn't resolve problems. You can really feel the internal management chaos. I wouldn't recommend it.

The villa I stayed in was very peaceful and although I understand that this is '"old" Thai style, I did feel that the furniture and fittings were somewhat outdated and if you are travelling around and not wanting or able to hang up clothes, there is hardly any room for a large suitcase to be kept open on the floor. Overall, it was pretty good, especially since it shares the same beach as the W. You can even walk right over from the beach. The only downside is that the ocean-view rooms barely offer a glimpse of the sea, which makes them not really worth the extra cost.

We had a great time at this hotel, quiet, away from noisy markets and pubs, the room was lovely and big. Anne had helped us with an upgrade of the pool room and Pink was extremly helpful to us to, to add topper to our bed and getting extra pillows. I would reccomend this hotel. I’ll start to say that the overall stay was nice, beautiful resort, nice view, well located. But a few things important to relate, the bed was very hard, mattress uncomfortable, pillows flat, bed sheets old. After 5 nights spent there, both my gf and I suffered from back pain. It was an amazing experience to stay here, I proposed to my girlfriend and they prepared the room with flowers and a nice text for 2000 Thai bath and they did the jacuzzi for free  which I’m very grateful for that ❤️🥰 I recommend this place; the staff is very nice, too.

We stayed in a private bungalow and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, the beautiful views from the terrace, and the well-thought-out interior design. They have their own private beach, a massage service with sea views, a varied breakfast spread, a swimming pool, and sun loungers with umbrellas and towels. We even saw squirrels running around the grounds!

The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, giving the impression of a very talented gardener. However, it also feels like the hotel has a very poor plumber, as all the fixtures are falling apart. This hotel was amazing, offering a very calm and pleasant environment. It is close to the beach, with a pool near the sea and sun loungers for relaxing and sunbathing. The hotel facilities are complete, though the beachfront suites are a better option. I visited here with my wife and my 5-year-old daughter, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for children as well. I highly recommend it to everyone

What a wonderful place! Directly situated on the beach, bar and restaurant are so nice ! The rooms are adorable, clearly work has been done to update and refresh! The breakfast is amazing, staff just lovely, wifi great! A big thanks to the team!

This hotel is one of my favorites in Lamai. The swimming pool, the bar and the beach are awesome. The staff cannot be more lovely, helpful and efficient. Unfortunately, you can tell they stopped investments a few years ago I guess which means half of the switches, handles and anything that can break are broken or just don't work. We really enjoyed our stay at Sand Sea, particularly in a beachfront bungalow. Lamai beach is beautiful, clean, and relaxed. The resort is walkable to many restaurants, massage places, shops, and more, but is set away from the main road allowing it to be peaceful and quiet.
