Reviews
We stayed in a pool villa (102) and it was spacious, had 2 separate rooms in one villa-one living room with tv, couch, bar fridge) and one huge bed/bath room- and a huge deck with bean bags, our private pool, and a table setting. It was so lovely and private.
The staff were absolutely amazing the whole stay, so helpful!
If you want an amazing Thai massage- the spa is the place to get it! I walked out feeling like I was floating!
The restaurant is good! Although limited with choices, if you are on the inclusive packaging. I feel like they may dumb down some Thai food, I had to ask for salt a few times to get some flavour.
I read through some reviews before I left and would love to clear some things up-
Yes there are no footpaths- but you can walk along the road safely- literally the traffic will move out of the way for you, and the 7/11 is like 10 mins walk up the road- we never felt unsafe walking
Yes it may seem like you are in the middle of nowhere- but they have an amazing shuttle for free , can get a ride back for 400 baht- after 4-5 hours out and about - that was worth it for us .
Also the stray dogs- they are so freaking polite- they just crave some interaction- I wanted to bring them home. They won’t bother you unless you want them to . There is absolutely no way they enter the resort
We had a beautiful stay at the sarann.
I could not praise the staff enough, they were helpful, friendly and attentive
Room 110.
It was a little dated, yes. But only in so much as it could do with the walls rubbing down and lick of paint. The bed was firm and comfortable, with amazing views to wake up to. The little pool was perfect to cool off in, although a couple of the tiles were loose it didn't cause us any problems. It was my birthday whilst we were there and we had a beautiful display on the bed for both our arrival, and on my birthday 💚
Restaurant & Food.
We had breakfast included, which is a buffet style. There is an egg station where they will make you whatever you would like. I loved the different thai option each day, but would have liked a little more fruit options. Again, not something that was a problem.
Location.
As long as you have done your research, you will know that The Sarann sits on the main ring road. The hotel offers a shuttle to Central Samui and Fisherman's Village which we found really handy. In terms of walking anywhere, you will struggle as there isn't a path that would allow you to walk on the road. You could walk up the beach and through one of the resorts though. Again, we didn't find this to be an issue. We didn't experience excessive road noise.
Services.
- A really handy shuttle to Central Samui & Fishermans Village. We used this service alot, it is a great touch!
- Spa. We didn't use it, but you can book on the day with two hours notice.
- Restaurant. Breakfast buffet to get you started with your day.
- Scooter hire. We didn't use them but they seemed popular with the other guests.
Overall.
The Sarann was everything we wanted it to be. Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation, and a little haven for us to relax in after a day of exploring. We had seen the recent negative reviews, and it made us nervous. Honestly, give this place a chance - we would definitely return 💚
Only drawback is that this hotel is far from popular tourist n market areas so every time u hv to spend 300 thai baht one way just to go to restaurant or nearby 7 eleven
