Even though the hotel looks stylish and well-designed, it’s honestly run in a very amateur way. The ceiling in our room was leaking, and even though we told them about it, they made no effort to fix it. I won’t even start talking about how rude and arrogant the receptionist was — it really shows how poorly managed this place is.
My girlfriend came all the way from London and I travelled from Ankara, and when we finally arrived, tired after hours on the road, the room they gave us had water dripping from the ceiling. We checked in early in the morning, hoping to get some rest before starting the day, but when we complained, all they said was “there’s nothing we can do.”
We couldn’t sleep because of the sound of the dripping water. You can definitely find better places for the same price — don’t waste your money here.

The ceiling in our room was leaking, but they didn’t help at all. They didn’t change our room or try to fix the problem. They just said there’s nothing they can do. When we said they don’t care, they told us “you can check out if you want” Basically kicking us out. Terrible customer service. 👎👎👎

The room was spacious, clean, and had a warm, inviting feel. The minimalist design was eco-friendly and natural. I stayed for two days; the first day was a bit noisy due to Izmir's vibrant nightlife, but the second day was much more comfortable. The bed and blankets were excellent—very comfortable and snug against the skin. The hotel's location was fantastic, centrally situated, just 3-5 minutes from the Aegean Sea. Although you couldn't see the sea directly, you could still feel the sea breeze. The only downside was the lack of an elevator and the narrow staircase. I highly recommend experiencing this hotel when visiting Izmir.

Staff was great, unit clean. The building however felt like it was falling apart. Misaligned stairway, weird smell coming from bathroom, etc. All in all not what I expected based on the photos.

The hotel has a great location. The staff is friendly.
It's nice overall, but it's a bit worn.
Slats are missing or not properly secured. The shower head is very calcified, and the water sprays in every direction.
The bed is very comfortable, though.
We were only there for a few hours because we had to leave for the airport in the middle of the night, so I didn't take any pictures.
We stayed in room 303.
As I said, nice furnishings, but unfortunately worn.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, in two different rooms — one standard and one deluxe. Both rooms were very clean, which I really appreciated.
When it comes to the staff, my experience was mixed. I had both good and bad interactions, but I’d like to especially mention the receptionist on my second day, she was incredibly kind and helpful.
The hotel is located in the city center of Izmir, which has its pros and cons. On the one hand, it’s very close to the sea and a street full of great restaurants. On the other hand, due to the layout of the surrounding streets, I had to park my car about 15 minutes away from the hotel, which was a bit inconvenient.
My main issue, however, was the noise at night. Both nights, I woke up multiple times because of loud street noise, especially car horns and what seemed to be a bar operating in the alley next to the hotel until around 12:30 or 1:00 a.m. (I’ve attached a video of the noise as well). It was quite disturbing.

Room was clean and staff is very nice, however, parking around the hotel is close to impossible to find, we had to park about a mile away in some cases. The room was in the third floor with no elevator so be prepared to climb stairs every time you want to go in or out.

I enjoyed my stay at Gran Via Ansancak. The room was clean and spacious with generous amenities. Staff were helpful and curteous. The location is conveniently located near shops and restaurants as well as being very walkable. I would stay here again and would also recommend it to a friend.

Location is very central, rooms are comfortable. The sauna was a pleasant addition and it worked well. I recommend it to anyone wanting to explore İzmir while staying downtown, major attractions are either walking distance or easily accessible via tram.
