Anemon Kent İzmir Otel in Izmir

Stayed here for three nights while having appointments at the Ege University Hospital. Absolutely ideal as the hotel is situated within the Campus and so all departments are within walking distance. The hotel itself used to be a part of the hospital and has been fairly successfully remodelled, although its origins are still obvious. Rooms and public areas are comfortable and exceptionally clean. There are well stocked minibars and tea/coffee facilities. One downside is that smoking is permitted and our room had a distinct odour of stale smoke, fortunately not overpowering and did not particularly affect us. Restaurant food was ok, but staff certainly need some training and are rather inattentive. We were happy with the advertised price and even happier when we received a substantial discount perhaps because we are retired. Free parking is available just outside the hotel. Strongly recommended.

I stayed here again after a long time, unfortunately it is not as comfortable as before.

A good hotel that has seen better days. Room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the rear of the hotel. AXfridge and kettle in the room which was great for a coffee befure breakfast. Excellent bathroom with a great shower.

Tour companies book here for their guests. That means there can be peak hours at the restaurant or at the elevator line. We stayed here 2 nights thanks to Jolly Tour. Check in was a breeze, keys with names on it waiting for us on the counter. The restaurant has enough variety to keep us vegetarians happy. I had issues with the A/C, and the front desk sent someone in seconds. On the other hand, the bathrooms have no ventilation. You can leave the bathroom door open and hope the room fan takes care of it. Snacks in the basket and beverages in the fridge are pricey, that's standard practice with any mini bar I guess. Location is just meh. We went out at night to get dessert, the nearest one was 10 min away. Not much to do unless you take a cab. At least the rooms towards the "courtyard" (i.e. ventilation) don't get affected by the road noise. The bed is hard enough to fix your back.
