We had a great stay overall. The location is great - right in the center with access both on foot and by car. The area itself is beautiful, especially the historic “bank street” nearby with its impressive architecture, which made every walk pleasant. One of the highlights was the luxurious, historic hammam - a unique experience and very well maintained. Breakfast was also excellent, with a good selection and stunning views.
Good service at the hotel, staff are helpful and welcoming.
We did run into a couple of minor issues during our stay, but it didn’t really spoil the overall experience

Love this hotel, location is just 5mins walking to Galata and 5mins walk to Karakoy tram station. Room is soooo big! And worth the price. Paid for Presidential Suite and i consider it one of the best hotel in the area

The hotel boasts an excellent location, perfect for sightseeing. Public transportation makes everything easily accessible, and a 10-minute walk across the bridge gets you to the other side of the city.
The hotel is very clean and smells lovely throughout.
My only complaint would be the swing door to the bathroom/toilet. Firstly, it doesn't close completely, which compromises privacy, and secondly, it squeaks unbearably. It would be good if this could be fixed. Otherwise, there's nothing else to complain about.
The staff are very helpful and extremely friendly.
Breakfast at the hotel is very expensive, but there are plenty of excellent breakfast options in the immediate vicinity.

It was a very nice expérience in the galata hotel, the people of staff were perfect in every fields, we tried the beautiful hammam and they were so gentle and kind with my family and me, thanks also to Shahribanu who welcomed us warmly with her advices. The room was great and the hotel is well located. thank you again, we will come back I recommand !

The hotel is centrally located downtown, which made getting around easy. The room was clean and comfortable.

For the negative, I didn't come with a car and there are slopes around the hotel that I needed to walk ups and downs to get to the restaurants or the Galata Tower.
But for the positive, the room was comfy, clean and quiet. It's a good place to stay if you like going to pubs. And it's very close to the Galata Tower.
I stayed in the hotel for a week and I checked in after 6pm. It was a very cold evening, rainy and shower of snow, the staff prepared a plate of fruits and some biscuits for me as a warm welcome.
I enjoyed the stay here.
But for the positive, the room was comfy, clean and quiet. It's a good place to stay if you like going to pubs. And it's very close to the Galata Tower.

Stayed in room 1301, which had two beds, perfect for a family of three, and offered good ventilation. The location in New Europe is great, not far from Galata Tower and Galata Bridge, making transportation easy. It's a quiet spot despite being centrally located, which exceeded my expectations. They provided 3 bottles of water daily and dental kits.

We stayed there 3 nights and had a memorable stay. The geographical situation of the hotel is quite central as it is in the Galata neighborhood, close enough to buzzing Sultanhamet.
The room was clean and of a good size, it had a remarquable decoration honoring the MGallery hotel collection.
The hotel staff was very helpful during the stay and we had the pleasure to have a 30-minutes access to the hotel historical hammam.
Regarding the breakfast, it had a nice location, on top of the hotel with an amazing view on Sultanhamet. Despite offering a lot of local products the breakfast could be marginally enhanced with a greater choice on the « à la carte » menu.
We would be very happy to discover more of Istanbul and to stay at this property.

We recently hosted a large company retreat and chose to stay at the Galata Hotel MGallery. I could not have asked for a better experience running this event with the hotel and I am incredibly grateful to the entire team for an exceptional experience all around. From the early days of planning the event, the team was willing to work closely with me on all details of planning -- from rooms, meeting space, meals and catering, and many special requests.
We had a complicated set of logistics due to people flying in from all over the world. They didn't hesitate to support our every need both before and during the event. I had many requests and needs every single day we were there (over a week) and they were responsive, warm, welcoming, and helpful at every step.
The food & beverage team was fantastic -- we had many menu changes, dietary restrictions, and last-minute adjustments. The food was fantastic, let alone for "hotel food" - every meal I had was delicious and delivered with warm hospitality.
We also enjoyed the beautiful Turkish bath onsite which was a very special, once in a lifetime experience. The location could not be better -- everything was walkable and we got to and from the airport with no issues. The front desk staff was fantastic as I was running to and from the meeting with questions, requests, and changes. They were knowledgeable and helpful with my every need.
My room was extremely clean and comfortable and was a blessing to come home to after a long day of meetings. I got room service many times, always delivered promptly and professionally. We enjoyed the beautiful lobby and lobby bar for some fun and casual get togethers and the bar staff was extremely accommodating.
We made use of both of their two meeting rooms during our event -- both were perfect for our needs and provided a comfortable and efficient meeting space for our group. We enjoyed the beautiful adjoining courtyard and the incredible coffee break snacks. I've never eaten as well as I did at the Galata MGallery!
I only wish I had more time to enjoy outside of working. I would definitely return to this hotel for personal or professional needs. I can't say enough about the entire team -- one of the most helpful, welcoming, professional, and efficient teams I've worked with as a vendor relationship. Very close to the Galata tower (during my visit the tower was under reconstruction so that didn’t help). The staff don’t attend during late night/early morning so that’s something to note. The private room was a little small, but you can’t beat the price with that. The staff can be overwhelmed because they have guests and customers for their shop at ground floor but they are friendly really try their best to help you.

I was so surprised when i saw my room and big bed! Rooms are not very big but it’s cozy. You can’t beat the location - walking distance to everything. And of course loved the hospitality of the owners. This was so refreshing comparator to big hotels. I would like to come back and for this price it will be always on my radar

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel near Galata Tower! The personal touch from the staff made all the difference in the world. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The location couldn't have been better – just a stone's throw away from the iconic Galata Tower, which made exploring Istanbul a breeze. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the heart of Istanbul.

Cozy, quaint, affordable, clean, good bed, good water pressure and heat, good climate control, super friendly and accommodating guy to check in with. You can tell he genuinely wants to make sure you are taken care of. More than I need to be happy at this price. Not sure if there is a cafe here or if breakfast is served, didn't ask. The friendly guy has tea available and offers every time you go in or out. No elevator but if you are walking around this part of Istanbul you can handle it. A bit of noise from the street until about 10 or 11pm, but again, remember what part of town you are in. You get in via a jewelry shop, not super obvious from the street but trust Google maps and be observant when you are close.
