Royal Bosphorus Hotel & Spa Hamam in Istanbul

They claimed they couldn't find my booking, and after about two hours I was given a room that was far from what I expected. A room without heating and with cold water. The next day, strangely enough, they found my booking and offered me a room that was acceptable. The breakfast in the lobby—sorry, it wasn't breakfast at all. Never again. A complete disgrace and a total disappointment.

Seemed very unhygienic/not very clean at all (AC very dusty) … although the hotel did the job - had a place to sleep at night while walking the streets of Istanbul during the day. Didn’t eat the breakfast so can’t comment on that, although looked like it had a decent selection. Place could do with some work and better housecleaning + more towels (was told they don’t have any more…)

I booked Royal Bosphorus Hotel & SPA Hamam in Istanbul for 14–17 March 2025, but I left after just one night — I had to run, quite literally, for my safety. I’m now trying to recover the cost of the unused nights. • Deceptive advertising: The breakfast shown online was entirely misleading — nothing resembled the pictures. Our bathroom leaked badly, and loud construction started early in the morning, making rest impossible — especially for my elderly mother. • Unreliable service: I was promised a room change due to the noise and leaks, but later the receptionist denied it and refused to help altogether. • Unsafe and aggressive behaviour: When I asked to check out early, I was ignored. After raising my voice to be heard, the owner stormed out shouting, came dangerously close, grabbed my phone and threw it against the wall. It felt like he was about to physically attack me, and only my mother’s intervention stopped him. I left the hotel immediately, shaken and frightened. I strongly advise solo female travellers and families to avoid this hotel. It is not only unpleasant — it is dangerous

Absolutely horrible!!! The staff are very rude and treat their staff very badly. The haman is a completely scam! They charged 65€ for a VIP (instead of 95) but it doesn’t worth not even 20€! They don’t do the peeling, the massage foam! It’s just a normal shower but very expensive!! Horrible! You will leave stressed with the bad experience! Save your money and your mood!

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had! I booked a room for 7 nights but left after just one, even though I had already paid in full. The room was filthy and disgusting, and the staffs were rude and disrespectful! Don't ever waste your money and time there!!!

It is the worst experience in my life. we ordered transfer from the airport, we were with kids, after flight we waited 45 minutes, our car never came, so we left and went by metro, when we arrived to the hotel, they told us to pay for transfer. otherwise they do not allow us to the hotel. the location of the hotel is ok, but staff is terrible. Hotel is very small, breakfast is on the ground floor, in front of the reception, so you eat with some people checking inn or out. Breakfast itself id terrible, we were not able to eat anything. Rooms and tiny and dirty. so I recommend never ever visit this place, if you do not want your vacation to be ruined.
