Terrible Experience - Avoid This Hotel

My friend and I recently traveled from the UK to Turkey and booked this hotel, expecting a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but pleasant, primarily due to the appalling behavior of the hotel staff, particularly the receptionist.

Upon check-in, we were asked for our passports, which is standard procedure. However, the moment the receptionist saw our Pakistani passports, his demeanor changed completely. He became outright hostile and discriminatory, demanding that we provide UK passports. When we explained that we didn’t have UK passports and could only provide the ones we had, he threatened to keep our passports until check-out.

Passports are sensitive documents, and we were understandably uncomfortable with this. We tried to reason with him for about 40 minutes, but he remained rude and uncooperative. To our shock, he then took out his phone and started recording us, saying he would call the police. Feeling extremely uneasy, I also began recording the situation. This seemed to intimidate him, and only then did he reluctantly return our passports, but not without taking his sweet time.

The hotel itself was in a deplorable condition. The room had missing light bulbs, and several switches were not functioning. Despite paying for two nights, the unprofessional and racist behavior of the receptionist left us feeling so unwelcome that we decided to check out after just one night. We ended up booking and paying for another hotel, as we couldn’t bear to stay any longer.

To top it off, there was no offer of a refund or any compensation for the terrible experience we endured. This was, by far, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice—your money and peace of mind are better spent elsewhere.

Booked this hotel from booking.com for the half of march, 2022. But didn't stay even 1 night. Fueled very unsafe in such dangerous place. When I came from the airport there, there was no electricity that time, it was evening, dirty everywhere outside on the streets, strange neighborhoods and bad smell of toilets. Really. For a girl alone like me that time - please make choice for a little expensive hotels right along big streets. This is not good variant at all. The man tried to take a full payment from me even if I will stay in another hotel. So, I dont know where other good comments from. And we should check the comments in booking and here in google maps. That's a pity I didn't see the comments here and looked through only booking feedbacks.
