The hotel is small. It's located in the old town. It's conveniently located. However, the air conditioning in the room didn't work. It was very stuffy. Since we were only renting a room for the night, there was no time to deal with the issue.

Our room was on the second floor right above the entrance to the hotel where people would smoke. You could smell the smoke in my room.

The stuff were fantastic however if you’re booking for the pool or the gym be careful it’s more like a paddling pool size swimming pool and the gym is something from back to the future

Location Good, But Service and Rooms Disappointing. The gym and sauna is another disappointing thing to add to the list. Steam room was out of service.

What truly detracted from our stay was the unacceptable rudeness of the staff. The reception lady, in particular, was overtly nice when trying to sell us activities (presumably for commission) but became extremely rude when we asked simple questions about the hotel. The night staff member with glasses exhibited the exact same unhelpful and rude demeanor.
Given these issues, I would not recommend this hotel. Save your money and book it somewhere else!

This hotel was booked by my local tour operator. I had requested for two twin beds but they gave us a Queen bed and a cot. After I complained to my local operator, the next day the switched us to a room with two twin beds. After our 7-day tour, we returned to Istanbul and stayed at Antea Hotel again. This time they gave us a tiny room with two twin beds. The room was so small that there was no space to even open our two big suitcases. To make matter worse, the room had no air or AC. The thermostat was old and broken. After I had complained to the manager, he said the central air conditioning had not been turned on yet. I said I understood but the thermostat was not even working therefore I could not even turn on the fan. I requested to change room. Minutes later a staff came up with a fan! I got mad and then the staff took us to another room which was much bigger with a new working thermostat. Why didn't he switch us to a bigger room with proper ventilation at the first place (he had the key in his pocket) but offered us the fan (I am sure he was following instructions)? That night we returned from Cappadocia at 12:30am. We were exhausted and the hotel night manager, the same one we had the bad experience with on the first night, gave us a hard time. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Bad service, and the breakfast is always the same. There are other hotels that are closer to Hagia Sophia with better rooms and service at comparable prices.

They had an issue the first day of our stay, but fixed it right away. Offered us transportation to the airport for the inconvenience. Staff very nice. Best of the hotel is staff and location. Our room was very very small. Worst was breakfast. *******, however, sucks.

Perfect location with most places such as blue mosque, hagi Sophia, grand bazaar all within 5 mins walking distance. However, the rooms were tiny, the spa, sauna and steam room were temperamental, the hamam was self service. Breakfast could be improved. Almost the same thing everyday.

I came in December so it was fairly quiet, but if you come in the warm months there will surely be a large crowd. The terrace upstairs offers good views around and a good place to meet people. Located very well right off the Sultanhamet Tram stop, and very convenient to get to almost anywhere in Istanbul. Offers cheap breakfast, cheap ride to airport, and nice rooms with heat/ac and warm water for shower. Wifi is average. Hosts are very helpful, and informative. Great place to stay, especially for backpackers.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.
The location was perfect, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was both relaxing and luxurious. I can confidently say this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Highly recommended – I will definitely be coming back!

I stayed at this hotel with my father for 7 days. The location is impeccable. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the hippodrome and it was really worth it. The breakfast was also very good and varied and the view was just wonderful. But the best part of this hotel was its kind, professional and friendly staff. Everyone, from the ladies who prepared breakfast, to the house keepers, to the receptionists, were all extremely warm and friendly. Mr. Mesut, the manager was incredibly helpful and gave us a lot of good guidance on what to do and see. He was really polite, kind nad professional. I can't say enough about how welcome him and his team made us feel. Next time we are in Istanbul, we will do our best to book a room with them again. 5 stars.

small and nice hotel very central, easy to get around in every part of the city. the staff is polite and kind I was in Istanbul for work and a bit of vacation I managed to do both without problems. they recommended me a place not very touristy and very Turkish and I was able to play a bit.. thank

Very safe hotel , with a great location, i was very comfortable living in it because its beside a police station.
Negatives :
- elevator is too small , it can take 3 maximum without the bags
- breakfast is not varied, repeated , everyday the same food, with a very very small changes
- food is too expensive, i bought a Sandwich for 600TL

What can I say about this hotel, pure hospitality and a must stay when your in Istanbul. Take it from me the service is special especially Mehmut and Sena who always greet you and take care of you whenever you need. Sena especially well done! The breakfast is fresh whenever you need no matter what time you get up. If you need a top up a fresh portion it will be made for you.
