West Pera Hotel in Istanbul

Advertised as smoke free rooms however there's a Pungent smell of smoke in the room / ash tray by the bed

Advertised as soundproof rooms but there's Incredibly loud noise from nearby clubs and loud water pipes behind the bed

Only two hand towels, the little bottles of provided shampoo and body wash were already used.
Receptionists were both great
Would only take cash

Upon seeing the room, we decided to leave immediately instead of staying 5 nights.
They refused to refund us and offered to move us to another of their hotels.
Manager preferred drinking with his friends outside the hotel over talking to us and hearing our problems

Ended up losing all of the money for the five nights even though we stayed 30 minutes

We were in Turkiye for 2 weeks and this was our only bad experience :(

Simply the noisiest hotel ever.
Nice rooms and very friendly staff, but unfortunately despite the location being in the city center, the hotel is next to a nightclub, open from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., making it impossible to rest.
Unless you want to sleep during the day, I strongly advise against it.

BEWARE - this is a noisy place which they don't tell you about when you check in. On Friday night it was so loud we could not possibly sleep. When we asked for a discount because of our sleepless night after paying 250 TL they refused and threatened to call the police!!! What a terrible way to deal with customers!!!

I was told that the rooms were quiet except weekends. It is weekday today and I cannot sleep during my first night due to very loud music played outside. It is 3:20 am and the loud music is still on. I will check out today. Waste of money for a sleepless night.
