It provides free Wi-Fi across the property, air conditioning, and family-friendly amenities such as baby cots upon request. Guests can dine on-site in the restaurant and bar or hold meetings in one of two conference rooms accommodating up to 50 people. Additional services include a business center, concierge, laundry, and a barber/beauty shop. Wellness options like a sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, massage, and solarium are available for a fee. Check-in starts at 13:00, and check-out is by noon. The hotel’s staff is often praised for friendliness and professionalism, while rooms are noted for their cleanliness and spaciousness. However, some guests mention that the building and its decor feel dated, and the Wi-Fi can be inconsistent in some rooms.

Location

Situated in Istanbul’s Laleli district, Hotel Yigitalp is approximately 12 km from Istanbul Atatürk Airport. The hotel is less than a kilometer from the Aksaray airport bus terminal but involves some uphill walking on gravel roads, which may be challenging with heavy luggage. The nearest tram T1 line station is around 600 to 700 meters away, offering access to major city attractions. The hotel is close to historic sites such as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, and Topkapi Palace. Nearby cultural landmarks include the Istanbul University Rıdvan Çelikel Archaeology Museum (384 m) and the Church of St. Polyeuctus (409 m). Several local restaurants, including Beyaz Kuğu Cafe Restaurant just 100 meters away, provide dining options outside the hotel.

Tips

  • If you have heavy luggage, prepare for uphill walking from Aksaray bus terminal as the route includes gravel roads.
  • Consider requesting a room closer to the lobby or main floors if Wi-Fi reliability is important.
  • For quieter evenings, be aware that the hotel is near a mosque which may have early morning calls to prayer.

Stayed here for five days over Christmas and had a brilliant stay. The hotel is in a good location and the tram stop is just a five minute walk down the hill ( with links to all over the city. The staff are friendly and super professional. The rooms are excellent and so is the rooftop restaurant with great views of the city. The breakfast was good if slightly repetitive for some maybe but no complaints from me.The place is very clean and tidy. You can see that the management expect high standards and the maids and reception staff are a credit to the hotel.I would recommend the hotel which was reasonably priced.I would happily return.

Good choice for a few days visiting Istambul. Location is quite adequate, close to Grand Bazaar; rooms are clean and well equipped, restaurant is very good value, and service is efficient. Only the style requires an update, but all else is just fine!

At fitst , I came from South Korea. And I fall in love with masal sehir Istanbul so this trip is five times . So I have stayed so many hotels. I mean,a lot of experience. Chef Cetin was a man of responsibilty n armed with a thorough service mind. Though I was not a guest of his hotel , he entertained me just like a guest . So impressed and moved to Yigitalp hotel thanks to Cetin . While staying , gorgeous ,gentle Kemal served me so well . Thanks to Kemal , I feel so comfortable. And adorable ,cute Caner was so nice, too. Next year definitely I will stay at Yigitalp.
Thanks all the hotel staffs ,again . P.S Hotel facilities was also so good including restaurant , where Italian Chef works.

Hotel Yigitalp Istanbul
Overall review: This hotel is not recommended because the location is not ideal, public transportation is not convenient, and the surrounding area is deserted and there is no place to shop.
First of all, let me tell you that AKSARAY has an airport bus station, T1 tram station, and subway station. These stations are all called AKSARAY! ! But they are not the same station, and there is a certain distance between them! !
1. The hotel is about 1 km away from the airport bus terminal AKSARAY, and there are many uphill gravel roads on the way from AKSARAY to the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage and a large suitcase, it will be a disaster.
2. There are few restaurants and shops near the hotel for tourists to visit. They are all shops selling bed sheets, quilt covers, and cheap counterfeit clothes (similar to small commodity markets). These shops will close very early. The surrounding area of the hotel is very deserted and there are no tourists. It is particularly scary to come back at night. What's more terrifying is that there is almost no woman on the road nearby, all men (and their eyes are unfriendly). This caused us to come back early at night and had no time to go shopping. There is not even a small Carrefour supermarket around here. There is a small store but there are few choices, and there is nothing to buy as souvenirs. After 4 days of sightseeing in Istanbul, this area is the most deserted! ! Any place you stay is more lively than this one.
3. It is also about 600 to 700 meters away from the tram T1 station, which is quite far to walk (and it is scary at night). T1 is the most convenient to go to major attractions (here is a popular science: many roads are only for trams, and buses can only go on other roads, which are very slow and congested). If you have to live nearby, I highly recommend living directly at the entrance of T1 AKSARAY station! ! ! I saw several hotels at the entrance. By the way, there is a very beautiful mosque next to T1 station! !
4. The subway and bus stations are both 700 to 800 meters away, which does not feel particularly convenient.
5. The price is not advantageous, and it is nearly 600 in the off-season. We checked in at the end of January in winter. At this price, you can actually stay in a better hotel around.
6. The decoration is still quite nice, very retro, and the house outside the window is also quite nice. The room is not small, the bed is small, and it is generally OK. But I don't know why the hall downstairs is not lit, it seems very deserted. The mosque is too close, and it starts to gurgle early in the morning. If you have trouble sleeping, it is not recommended to stay.
7. Maybe the hotel is too old, the facilities are very old. The shower water is small and cold, about 37 degrees, girls can't stand it.
8 The breakfast is average, you can see the mosque (forgot the name) outside the restaurant, the view is good, and I found many white grandpas and grandmas when I was having breakfast, and I didn't see any Asian faces.
9. Staff: Very good, no problem communicating in English. Although it says that you can only check in at 2 pm, we checked in at 11 am, unlike some hotels that are very rigid and don't let you stay.

We recently stayed at Yigitalp Hotel and my experience was absolutely amazing. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to many of Istanbul's attractions, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay.

The breakfast at the hotel was definitely a highlight for me. There was a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, and everything was fresh and beautifully presented.

In addition to all of this, the staff were always willing to call taxis for us, which was a great convenience for exploring the city. Overall, I would highly recommend Yigitalp Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. Thank you for the wonderful experience!"

This "hotel" is all good and that, but something that's needed for it to be much more better is the following:

A "room 🗝️ card" available for everyone and ONLY IF the total number of people who check-in r 3 or more. It's most specially required to be available for everyone who r foreigners.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
