Ramada by Wyndham Istanbul Pera Hotel

What was good:
01. The breakfast service was excellent. There weren't any particularly heavy dishes, and the menu was simple enough for a quick bite to eat. However, the fact that there were only two beverage options besides coffee could be improved.
02. The soundproofing was good. I couldn't hear anything from the next room.
03. The bathroom was clean and comfortable to use.

What was not memorable was:
01. The staff member's expression was too gloomy during breakfast service. I believe it's the staff's responsibility to welcome everyone in the morning.
02. I don't know about the other rooms, but my room didn't have a personal safe. The check-in information clearly mentioned a safe, but I couldn't find one in my room no matter how hard I searched.
03. Trip.com listed a "station pickup service" as part of the hotel's amenities. Because of the ambiguous distance, I walked to the hotel instead of taking a taxi. I asked about the "station pickup service" via WhatsApp three days before check-in, but no one responded.

If they had provided detailed information about the hotel's services—the "pool," "station pickup service," and "steam room"—and their locations, I would have been able to fully enjoy the hotel as a first-time guest and have a more memorable experience.

The food for both dinner and breakfast were not impressive, and the service was not good. The swimming pool is too cold to swim but the sauna room is not hot enough.

Hello, we went there because it was a 5 star hotel but it is only worth 3 stars, its location is good, the hotel needs to be renovated for transportation, as for the food, we did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel, we always ate outside, our breakfast was included, we did not like that either, by the way, we made a reservation on trip.com, the price was reasonable, we will not go again in the future unless it is renewed.

Pros: The location is unbeatable, close to the heart of the city and well connected to key attractions. For the price we paid, it offers decent value, especially given the range of amenities—the sauna, gym, and pools are a nice touch. The beds are comfortable and provide a good night’s sleep, though the pillows could definitely use some improvement.

Cons: Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. The selection was bland and cheap, with very limited meat options, which was surprising in Turkey, known for its rich and flavorful cuisine. We found ourselves quickly tired of the hotel meals, and I’d advise guests to explore dining options outside to get a real taste of Turkish food.

The staff, while not rude, seemed tired and disengaged compared to other resorts we’ve visited in Turkey, where hospitality is usually exceptional. Another downside was that the pools and the rooftop close early, by 8 pm, limiting evening activities. Although there is a rooftop bar, it was underwhelming—no parties or lively atmosphere, just a few people here and there.

Neutrals: The hotel is a bit outdated, and the rooms are small, but that didn’t bother us much since we spent most of our time exploring the city. However, the lack of wall hooks and not having enough cups for a group of three did add some minor inconveniences.

Overall, it’s a solid stay for the price and location, but don’t expect to be blown away by the food or service. If you're planning to spend a lot of time outside the hotel, it could still be a good option.

Great hotel and so close to istiklal street (shopping street). Very practical. The room is spacious and very tidy. Really appreciated the dinner offered at the hotel restaurant - although more vegetarian/vegan options would have been great. Really appreciated the effort of Miyaser who is devoted to her duty during dinner service. Will recommend definitely.
