Missing one star only due to lack of English language in all hotel services except reception, but everyone was nice and kind, despite the difficulties of communication.

Two of us stayed here for four days and nights. I love this hotel and will return. The staff are super helpful and multilingual, and go out of their way to help. Housekeeping is wonderful and it’s straight across the lane from a huge supermarket which has everything you can imagine. Wifi is fast and the bed comfortable. Highly recommended

Super clean and comfortable hotel. Situated opposite Ultramaket, mall and cinema. Located 5km away from Independence square (central) but amenities at hotel make up for it. TV channels are mostly English, which is a huge plus. Overall great stay!

Clean and safe city stay in downtown Kyiv Staff are always very friendly here. The rooms are clean and very affordable for a location just 5 mins from Golden Gate, St. Sophia etc..

Bontiak is my favorite hotel in Ukraine. I have stayed there numerous times since 2022. The staff is excellent, friendly, helpful and efficient. It is also one of the most well protected hotels in the city.

The hostel itself was quite nice, the beds were pretty comfy with curtains which I find essential these days. The lockers have an electric pass code, which makes things easier and the room door opens with a card. The bathrooms were clean enough, but they lacked space where you could leave your clothes while showering. There is a little hook at each of the showers but I find that's not enough. Overall...

I’ve been staying at this hotel for 2 years now and cannot fault it at all. The staff at the front desk have always been welcoming and very helpful. Securing a room has never been an issue and the staff always work with a very high level of professionalism. I cannot recommend City Hotel highly enough and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Kyiv. I always look forward to getting back to Kyiv to catch up...

Superb location. Very good service. I recommend using spa and getting a massage. In case your hungry the roof top restaurant "Matisse" has an excellent menu and quality&taste are very good. If the bar in the lobby should be closed I recommend to try "the fog". A Shisha Bar with good food, drinks, cocktails and wonderful teas. I enjoyed my stay very much! Thank you!!!

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. The breakfast in the mornings were lovely and the staff was really friendly, helpful, and very professional. I will definitely stop by next time I will be in Kyiv.

I went here a few years ago, hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to everything. I wish I took pics of hotel, its architecture and designs is very unique.

There is a big difference, in many ways, between the rooms with two small beds and the ones with one larger bed. Pay the extra $5, it's completely worth it. Classy hotel keeping up standards during difficult times in Ukraine. Extremely safe and quiet, with a killer view and 5 min. walk to the Metro. The lady who works the desk in daytime most weekdays was particularly helpful.

Opera is a good option if you need a unfussy, friendly hotel CV in a nice leafy, quiet and cool neighbourhood of Kyiv. The staff are great and super helpful. Thought the spa was excellent too. I stayed for more than 10 days. The hotel room was nice. Also the sheets and towels were clean. We also had no problems with hot water and electricity outages.

GREAT LOCATION with painfully pretentious staff. Pro tip for all you service workers (I was one for years)…You are not fancy because your clientele are. I’ve stayed here twice and despite my wife being from Kyiv and speaking flawless Ukrainian and Russian, the desk always acts like we’re a burden. Even the two doormen are snobs.

I spent 8 days in August 2021 in this hotel, the welcome is warm very good service the activities in the sport are well maintained and equipped except if there are 2 devices mounted upside down and for the pool and sauna is a magnificent place except for those who will find it a little dark but very discreet. There is some facade work that didn't bother me despite being on this side of the room....

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Kyiv. Professional staff is doing their best to make staying in the hotel comfortable. Hearty breakfast is included in the room rate. The only downside is that the interior requires complete renovation.

The lobby is a meeting place for all sorts of corrupt officials. I haven't heard of anyone living there. Personally, I use the exchange office there.

Clean. A bit pricy, especially for Ukraine, but nice. Building is old, however, and you may need to use a translator if you're an English speaker.

Booked a standard single room through Booking. Honestly - I wanted to turn around and leave. It was stated that there is an air conditioner, but as it turned out not (although it is in the photo). The wall by the bed is stained. The laminate is in a terrible state, although the bed and towels are clean. Slippers are missing.

+ Convenient, comfortable, everything is convenient and within walking distance. There is a place for a walk VDNKh - A bit tired furniture, TVs and a little outdated hotel. But in general, it is very comfortable for guests of Kiev, even worthy if you come for a walk and you need inexpensive housing.

I had booked this place for my Partner, and he said it was located in a great place of Kyiv. Accessible to most restaurant's, pubs and activities. They were very accommodating with including him in Christmas celebrations.
