"Dishonest Management: They requested medical docs then ignored me for weeks"

I had a nightmare experience with this hotel. My sister has severe allergies, and Sarath from the reservations team told me to provide medical documentation to review a refund request. I acted in good faith and sent the clinical documents on Jan 6th.
They ignored my emails for over 3 weeks. When I finally arrived in London and called them, they had no choice but to pick up, yet they completely evaded answering why they ignored my emails. They simply kept repeating "no refund" without any accountability for their lack of communication.
They intentionally delayed their response until the check-in date to force me into a "no-show" or "no-refund" situation. This is not just bad service; it is dishonest and predatory. I had to pay for another hotel to ensure my sister's safety.
Do not trust this hotel. They will pretend to help by asking for documents, then they will ghost you and take your money. Truly unprofessional and cold-hearted.

Basic but functional. For the price I paid (£30) I wasn't expecting the best and whilst parts of the room are a in need of some TLC and cleaning, the bed was clean and the room was reasonably clean. The room was small but it was perfectly fine, I'd stay here again if the price was right.

All in all i'm satisfied. For 111£ for two nights , i couldn't hope more . Location is top ! I just walked , didn't even needed to take transports most of the time . It's renovated so looks better than the old pics on google . Room wasn't tiny like i've seen in the other comments , big enough for me , i had room 15 , i had a shower and a sink but the toilet was in an other floor but still is a private one for the room . Cleaness was ok . The store was light so i got a little bit bothered by streets lights while sleeping. Stuff was friendly and hotel was quite.

To be fair to the management I was on a tight budget so I guess it's not the worst value for money. Otherwise, it was hands down the worst hotel I've ever been to. I was given a key to the building, but was advised that the doors did not have locks. Hence, you could only lock them from the inside. The room was so tiny... 🤦. I booked for 2nights and didn't see cleaning staff once. That's just the first few points I can think of on the fly.

Location is perfect especially if you don’t want to use transport as its a 12 minute walk from train station . Upon arrival staff were very friendly and welcoming . Rooms are in mint condition but with minimal space in room and bathroom . Other than that no other flaws apart from the rooms being really warm . Overall had a lovely stay would recommend especially if you are on a tight budget!

If you’re a single guy that doesn’t care too much and just needs a bed for the night, fair enough. If you’re with a family, just don’t! Smelly, disgusting, cramped, unsafe, not maintained, poor security, I could go on. The position is convenient.

Stayed over on a week night, after looking for a budget room with reasonable travel links and facilities nearby. En suite bathroom was a must. And I got what I was looking for here. Room was small and compact but had a 3/4 bed with what felt like a memory foam mattress. Bathroom was compact but clean and good shower albeit plumbed in reverse - needed to turn the dial toward cold for warm water and vice-versa. A little tight for space between the toilet and sink but that’s a trade off I can live with for a night.

Two towels also provided plus one for stepping out onto. The room had a small alcove with a wardrobe rail and enough space to store my overnight case.
The bathroom fan was noisy to start with but settled itself after 2-3 minutes of running.

As other reviewers say, the reception is in the next door hotel, the Sheriff. I was given an electronic key card to gain entrance to both the Grapevine outer door and the room. No hassles with either. It does look at the moment like the hotel is still being renovated but I heard no construction noise during my stay.

Conveniently located for both Victoria Coach station and the rail/underground stations also. A good range of restaurants and pubs nearby within a 10 minute walk.

Reading other reviews perhaps I was lucky, or remedial actions had been taken based on the feedback?

Overall I felt this hotel offered value for money and much is what I was looking for.

Good location, great price for solo traveller, staff friendly. Room dusty but bed comfy and bed linen clean. TV not working, lots of pigeon droppings on window ledge so had to keep it closed. Pipes boxed in over the bed and it made a loud noise all night, sounded like an extractor fan and I couldn’t sleep so checked out early. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Satisfactory. Room was good enough for the one night

The two beds are big enough for four people, but the bathroom is too small.

I love subway. I will defiantly be back into subway. But no way will I visit this one again. Dirty floor, tables and in all honesty some of the rudest staff I have ever come across. When I found a part clean table I was asked to move to a manky one half way through my terribly prepared sub. Without a please or thank you. He just said you need to move to that one. Totally shocked with these standards. I have the loyalty card and always leave good reviews but this one is terrible. They also had no stock and when I wasn't given my receipt, I asked for it when I realised I didn't have one and was told "what you asking now for" WTF subway.

Called in around 10:30am on Sunday 20th October 2013. Quiet, but still very very slow service for 2 staff. Constant queue even at that time of day for no reason. The Supervisor had to tell the assistant a number of times to do his job properly while we dined there. Order was cold by the time we got to eat even though it had gone into the toaster during the ordering process. Tables filled with uncollected rubbish. Will never go there again.

Also. there was a peculiar chemical taste to our coffee/tea.
