The Mosser, San Francisco1 / 30
8.5
San Francisco, 54 4th Street (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Location is so good. However, there are several homeless guys near hotel. Not violent to hit passengers but make the surrounding of hotel a bit messy. Most of staffs are polite and do good in duty of service. Very convenient to reach MRT station , supermarket and Ross for shopping .
The Mosser is an amazing hotel in an excellent location. It was clean and the staff was friendly!
One of the closest hotels to Moscone Center, the location is great for conferences. Basic facilities are decent but a bit old and the space is quite cramped.
The location is very ideal, it’s in the heart of everything you need, trader Joe’s is right next door. The hotel staff are all very kind and friendly. Everything is clean. The street is safe and much better than any of the other areas for similar priced hotels.
I had a really pleasing time as i was pretty exhausted. The room was super clean and i will definitely come back here. Not to mention the staff was super friendly. Thank you guys.
It's not fancy, the rooms are more bedroom sized than hotel room sized, extremeconvenient for the Union Square / Moscone area (and much cheaper than the bigger hotels around there). As long as you're not a hotel snob you'll be fine. Street noise can be a bit loud if you're facing 4th, though.

Nice place. Great view of harbor.
Every detail of this hotel was immaculate. The staff was amazing, especially Janelle and Javier! It was the best we have experienced and we travel often.
Great view and cozy hotel! I had a snafu when checking in, but Diana and Maria were wonderful and helped me and my wife out a lot!
The hotel was very nice, the room Was clean, staff was super friendly and helpful. A ton of stuff was close by and didnt have to worry about parking, used the valet service and was absolutely worth it. Would highly recommend and plan on coming back
The hotel is in a historic building - a YMCA that is 100 years old. The staff were friendly and helpful. This boutique hotel has small but well appointed rooms with high end bedding and toiletries. Not all rooms have a view so make sure to verify what you are expecting. We valet parked as self parking is very limited. It is located right on the Bay along the Embarcadaro. Great hotel, fun vibe, not the best neighborhood. Rooftop dining amazing!
Excellent hotel. Inside is very nice with a mixture of modern and historical elements. Loved the rooms, very spacious with great views. The room windows inside and outside were slightly dirty (trying to not nitpick) and would be nice if they were cleaned on the regular to improve views. The hotel needs more bellman carts, as for when I arrived (when it was not crowded) they didn't have one available...
Everything and everyone was amazing. The food and drinks and hospitality on the rooftop restaurant/bar were exceptional. I would stay at the hotel again.
Despite the surround area, the hotel itself is very welcoming and everyone very friendly and above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Rooms were clean and good amenities. I didn’t have a reservation for the rooftop but the team squeezed me in - great views and cocktails!
I stayed at Proper Hotwl last night and couldn’t be happier. The hotel is very stylish, artistic, and spotless. I really liked the Aesop brand amenities, the shampoo, creams, and hand wash were a nice touch. The rooftop bar Charmaine’s is one of my favorite spots in San Francisco, with great vibes and charm. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and overall, it was a fun and pleasant stay.
Nice hotel and staff, but almost double the price of surrounding hotels. Not quite worth it.

We have experienced poor customer service, as the hotel has repeatedly changed our room during our stay. The front desk are very rude.
Hotel has great location and staffs are friendly too
The hotel facilities are quite old, there's a strange smell in the room, and the window AC unit is very noisy. Plus, if you shower too late, there's no hot water! Other than its excellent location, everything else about this hotel is really disappointing.
Amazing hotel in Union Square, San Francisco, California.
I really hate to leave a negative review, I never like doing it, but sometimes it's just necessary. I booked and paid for a deluxe room with a king-sized bed. After a very long journey and terrible jet lag, I was really looking forward to some comfort. Instead, I was given a standard room with a double bed, which made getting any rest impossible. When I complained, they told me the hotel doesn't offer...
Great location and the front desk staff were really friendly. The lobby seating area is a nice spot to relax. They offer free hot coffee in the morning, and the room's bathroom having a handheld showerhead was a huge plus!

San Francisco, 466 Bush St (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
It's right next to Chinatown, making it extremely convenient to get around. The rooms are spacious, odor-free, and very clean. Perfect for families with children. The hotel staff are also very nice!
The location is very convenient; Chinatown is just a short walk away, and the transportation is excellent. There are also many restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby, all with unique features. Union Square is also very close, within walking distance. The hotel is clean and tidy, the lobby staff are friendly and welcoming, and there's a gym, although it only has three machines. The hotel felt very safe...
I originally booked only two nights, but decided to stay two more days at the last minute. The front desk extended my stay to a room on the same floor, saving me the trouble of moving my luggage. After a few days, I became familiar with every nook and cranny of the hotel. There are indeed only two elevators, and you have to wait a while during the morning rush hour, but the stairwell is very clean...
The room was well-maintained and spacious. The location is good, close to Chinatown, and relatively safe. Actually, all the attractions are within walking distance. If you want a more in-depth tour, you can consider taking a leisurely stroll. It's also very close by bus or tram.
The cleanliness was good, and the overall stay was comfortable. The room wasn't particularly large; it felt a bit cramped with two large suitcases laid out. There was soap, but no toothpaste, toothbrush, or slippers.
The hotel is in a great location, convenient for many places. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. There's also a coffee machine, which is quite good. There's a small rooftop terrace with a view of the skyscrapers.

The room is spacious and provides everything we need. The bed is comfortable, air ventilation and temperature control is very easy to use. I saw comments that the water pressure is not strong enough, in our case it’s not strong but acceptable. The hotel is located conveniently but the street is a bit steep going down to Powell or to China Town direction. People with mobility concern have to note.
The location is good. Turn left and you will reach Powell Street. Shopping is also convenient. The hotel is on a hillside and you need to climb down a little. The front desk staff are all gentlemen and they are nice. The room is a bit small, but the facilities are comprehensive, including a microwave. There was a conference going on nearby at the time, so the prices of all the hotels around here were...
Really nice hotel and super friendly staff. Be careful around the location due to homeless people around the area but the staff told us which streets to avoid, so it wasn't a big issue.
Very good location and the staff are really friendly! Highly recommended!
The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient transportation. It is about a 10-minute walk from Union Square and Chinatown. It is convenient to take the subway and tram. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
Here’s a refined version of your review: “The hotel is located in a great area. The staff were helpful and hospitable. However, the hotel is older than expected based on the website photos.” This version ensures clarity and a natural tone. Let me know if you’d like any further adjustments!

We were very satisfied with the staff’s service and the simple breakfast, which had a small but well-curated selection. This hotel was super clean! Just a heads-up, the hill from the station to the hotel is surprisingly steep, so I'd recommend taking a car. Also, we could watch Netflix on the TV in the room, which was a nice touch.
5 stars for what we needed and were provided. We stayed here through "day break hotels" as our flight left at 10pm - we checked in at 12 and out at 7pm. The location just around from Union Square was great for the last minute shopping my wife did. The rooms were cosey, but there was a bath which was awesome. Well stocked fridge and water for sale at what you would expect priced. The bed was super...
Even before stepping foot inside, Hotel Emblem has already made a fantastic impression on me thanks to their exceptional customer service. The room was clean and the decor was really cool. I love the fact that it had a sound machine to drown out the street noise. The location is also excellent, walking distance to a lot of activities.

Wow, staff outside themselves - from reservation desk Ryan to hotel supervisor Yesha to front desk Arnold, each were friendly and helpful, making our anniversary stay memorable. I had a 1 night stay for a business trip. Facility is clean and bed is comfortable. There were some homelessness but it didn’t bother me since the front doors are securely lock with buzz entrance. I will definitely come back.
Room is nice and very comfortable bedding. 40 dollar resort fee seems strange since the bar is under Contruction.

I’ve been to San Francisco many times over the years and stayed in several high-end properties. This property is by far the best place I have stayed in the city and will be back.
Best Place to stay in San Francisco. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!
All the service staff and hotel managers are very nice! The room layout is also first-class. The only drawback is that we encountered an air conditioning failure, which affected our rest, but after coordination, the hotel gave full compensation.

A charming vintage property with polite and helpful staff. Don’t come here if you all the bells and whistles of a corporate chain; come here if you want to go back in time 100 years and bathe in a claw foot tub and show your kids what a pay phone looks like. Don’t worry, sheets are new and clean, towels are replaced daily, and it’s a comfortable stay. That said, San Francisco has a large unhoused population...
My father and I stayed at the hotel for several days while visiting San Francisco. This hotel was a time capsule. We met the owner several times and he has done his best to keep the hotel in its original condition when it opened in 1912. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and well managed. Outside the hotel was a bus stop and subway station. If you are looking for a simple quaint hotel...

Great location in the city. Clean new rooms. Hotel and room is great. Just many unhoused people in the area
One small lift for the entire hotel building. Pray it does not break during your stay :)
The staffing was great, vintage old look inside. They did had Valet but will suggest not to leave anything in the car due to homeless all around SF.
Front desk was nice, rooms were clean for the most part, AC unit did it’s job, beds were pretty comfortable for the one night we were there, decent location for food and drinks, would recommend for one or two night trips for the price

Everything about this place was fantastic. The service, the cleanliness, the facilities, etc. The only thing that wasn't perfect was getting back to the hotel at night, because some of the surrounding streets seemed a bit dangerous, but that's not the hotel's fault.
The hotel has a bit of a unique decor and the price is definitely affordable. There are two convenience stores downstairs, a coffee shop, and a CVS and Trader Joe's just a five-minute walk away. It's also very close to bus stops, cable car stops, and the metro. However, the neighborhood isn't the best. Most of the hotel rooms look out onto a wall, which essentially means no window. Breakfast with not too much choices. No tables available, so confused with lot of people. Bed was so comfortable.
Good accommodations in a great location. Underground parking is $30 per car. I'd happily stay here again, as long as the price doesn't increase.
A very old hotel, no facilities. Bedsheets and bed covers are stained.
Not bad, it is easy to find, but the breakfast is simple and almost the same everyday

not bad, but the lady at the desk was way too slow. Everyone is waiting. Room is just nice for lone traveller.
Front desk staff are friendly and willing to help you. Thumbs up! Located in China Town, and restaurants are just next door, and walking distance to the subway and many places of interest... Great!
I stayed in a 4-bed dorm. The room was with enough space to pack luggage. Lockers provided but you gotta bring your own lock. The private shower room was clean. One of the two elevators broke down during the stay, another functioning couldnt show the floor. Not a fresh modern looking type of hostel, but with a good vibe if you prefer somewhere more vibrant to stay.
Although you have to share restroom and bathroom with others, but there is also refrigerator, microwave oven and washing sink. Still go to have one day stopover. There are many nice restaurant nearby, explore.
