You get what you pay for. Good location between Chinese and Italian restaurants. Showers were few, and there was no soap.

I stayed in a 4-bed dorm. The room was with enough space to pack luggage. Lockers provided but you gotta bring your own lock. The private shower room was clean. One of the two elevators broke down during the stay, another functioning couldnt show the floor. Not a fresh modern looking type of hostel, but with a good vibe if you prefer somewhere more vibrant to stay.

Although you have to share restroom and bathroom with others, but there is also refrigerator, microwave oven and washing sink. Still go to have one day stopover. There are many nice restaurant nearby, explore.

I had a great stay at the Warwick, my room was spotless, location great - easy to get to all the tourist spots and the public transit system when I wanted to go further afield. Nestor on the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in San Francisco.

The Warwick clerk was kind, helpful and efficient. Our large group gathered in San Francisco for bereavement. The staff gave us a place to meet and visit. Our room was delightful in retaining vintage charm while including every convenience. The bed was perfect. For the location it's not to bad. If your coming for work or have busy days out this isn't that bad. Definitely not so much of a hangout I'm your room if you have downtime. The TV is mounted almost towards the ceiling and is off center that makes is basically not watchable. You will have to check your own self in when you arrive also.

Excellent service. Late check-out helps me with my luggages and some rests before a night flight. I would highly recommend any solo traveller or couples to stay here during their San Francisco trip.

This hotel has a top notch location, it’s very central and easy to reach from the airport. I was upgraded to a bigger room facing the street and even my bathroom had a big window facing the city. Rooms are a bit dated but overall large. You have to ask the concierge each day to get the $10 uber voucher sent to your phone. FedEx on site in the hotel. Gym is excellent with 2 cable machines, many cardio machines, leg abductor/adductor, chest press, shoulder press, row machines, and free weights up to 60 lbs.

My favorite hotel in SF. They have the best service, beautiful rooms and a perfect location. Every time I come to SF I stay here.

Building is classic Victorian style if you want to enjoy and experience the true SFO. Location is top of the hill with Trader Joe at walking distance.

Room 201. Absolute disaster. It’s connected to room 200 and I could hear everything through the connecting door, even when they went to the bathroom. The Pali was great value for money for our short trip in San Francisco. The hotel was walkable to lots of places - just a 25 or so minute walk down to the Ferry Building and walking distance to areas like North Beach. I just stayed for three days and had such a great time not only is the entire atmosphere so beautiful and the bed so incredibly comfy but the staff there is amazing. They were all so friendly and accommodating I loved them! Bar area is also SO pretty. The location is great also! Plenty of parking garages around and great walking distance for shopping and dining.

It’s a small hotel but it’s good service and location

The heater wasn't working properly so we asked for help and was told it was automatic, but the room was still cold. On the second day we asked for the heater to be turned on, but it only lasted a few minutes, so we asked them for an electric heater.

The location is really good. The hotel facilities are relatively old, and the sanitary conditions are OK. Overall, it's average.

Hotel without great pretensions that perfectly meets the needs of visiting San Francisco with a large community and is very well located. As number 1 it is in an area that is not homeless (at least in the surrounding streets) Old but with comfortable rooms and private bathroom. It smells strange since it has carpets throughout the hotel. In the room you will find TV, towels, cleaning supplies, refrigerator...

This hotel is adorable. The staff are so kinda and welcoming and it is so clean! We stayed in a king room that was overlooking the bay…it was so beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend. 😊

The good: excellent location, right near the Embarcadero and the Bay Bridge.  Easy access to BART and MUNI.   The bad: customer service was atrocious by one staff member, who made the stay very uncomfortable.  When presented with a problem, he was very unresponsive and accusatory back towards us.  Unacceptable.  For what it's worth, the hotel redeemed itself and better service was offered.  However...

A nice hotel in a beautiful location. It's an old building, which has its charm. No breakfast is available, but they do offer coffee and a cookie in the morning—but for $25, that's just not good. I'd look for something with a decent breakfast next time.

The location is excellent. The reception is very kind and helpful. The hotel provides free coffee, tea and pastries in the morning. During my four nights stay, just one unfortunate incident was the elevator was out of order on the night before the thanksgiving day. Apart, strongly recommend the hotel if you want to stay near the piers and bridges.

Great location near Union Square and public transport. Room is ideal for 2 adults and 1-2 younger kids. We booked quad share with 2 older kids and it was rather tight. The sofa bed wasn't ideal and somehow the advertised 37 sqm room felt squeezed. On the upside, hotel staff was very friendly and genuinely helpful. For the discounted rate I got from Trip.com, would book again.

This is a great place! The rooms are big and clean, plus they have free parking, which is amazing I'm glad they have free Wi-Fi, because my signal is weak when in the room. The location of great with tons of bars and restaurants on Polk St. And it's right by a main bus line if you get sick of $25 Waymo's all the time. Room was big and clean but it does not have everything that it show on the online page. Example no breakfast , no microwave a refrigerator in the room. The room was big clean and close distance to Pier 39.

Perfect location it's about a mile from Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown etc The hotel and they are decent, the staff is super nice and friendly and helpful. I liked that I could step out of the hotel and not be completely surrounded by a ton of homeless people and their smells. I stayed here on a business trip. The location was great and travel was very smooth. The rooms were clean and quiet, allowing me to relax after work. The staff were very polite, and I had an overall comfortable stay. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Would have been 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that I was continually woken up because I could hear every noise on the street outside and in the rooms next to me and above me. I don’t consider myself I light sleeper. If the hotel had provided earplugs on the nightstand or something this would have helped a lot.

This hotel has cool antique style, the bartender was so friendly, and when there was a hiccup with my room the staff acted promptly and respectfully. Plus, excellent bedding, thoughtfully placed lighting, and a great hot shower. Will stay here again!

Spacious room, 2 four-foot beds, comfortable to sleep in. The surrounding area is safe even at night. There is luggage storage. There is a simple breakfast, a variety of breads, tea, coffee, and free ice. Check-in starts at 12:00 noon and you can request to check out after 12:00 noon. The staff is available 24 hours a day and provides excellent service.

While the neighborhood may look unsettling, once you get inside you'll find an historic gem. Large, clean rooms with updated bathrooms, modern amenities, great connectivity for work, and best of all, a welcoming and always friendly staff. Great service from all of the staff, who were all super friendly. We got there early in the day and expected to have them hold our bags and return later to check in but they gave us a happy surprise when they said they had a room available for us. One note - the rooms aren't quiet to outdoor sounds. That didn't bother us because were where there for a party which was on property.

The hotel is easy to find and offers free parking. Breakfast is not included, but there is a brunch spot about 300 meters away. The only downside is that the hotel is located on a street, so it can be noisy to sleep. I was woken up by car noise in the middle of the night.

The parking lot requires a key card to enter, which definitely makes it secure. The room felt very cozy and was noticeably better than your average motel. It was a bit noisy when individual motorcycles or cars passed by, but overall, it was fine.

Hotel des Arts is only 2 Star but it is quite stylish, clean and reasonably priced. The location is very good and central, importantly close to the Cafe de la Press where even a spoiled European can find the Cappuccino and specifically the Croissants very good.

The room was cold and the thermostat under a lock box. Was in the ADA rooms and half the bathroom flooded when I took a shower - nothing to guide the water to the drain. A pond around the toilet until I 'swept' the water to the drain.

The hotel is on a very good location. Building is dated and shows signs of its age. Place is kept clean by the friendly staff. There’s not much by way of amenities but it serves well to sleep in after a full day of walking. Breakfast is free but continental and the selection is very limited. Not bad to start with. It’s free.  I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

This is the best small hotel in Union Square. It's affordable, the rooms are very nice—especially the bathrooms—and it's a friendly and cozy environment. Staff is super nice too. Just don't expect a bar or a social scene or a pool or fancy amenities. You get a great room though!
