Hotel is in a beautiful locations and has the protentional to be a great spot. So done with the good! Service was horrible! One experience is paying for chair at the 21+ pool and the wait staff doing everything other than waiting on people. I had to go get my drinks at the bar when the waitress was exchanging numbers and hitting on a guy by the entrance. Still would not care other than getting yelled at for not getting drink minimum through her because I had to walk up to the bar to by all our drinks. Room was nice but couch was straight out of grandmas 1970 basement and fridge in the room did not work. Also they charge a 20% service fee and some waiters tell you they get nothing some say they get it. If they do not just mark up the drinks and food so we can make the correct decision on tipping. Overall This was the biggest waist of money I ever spend on a stay at a hotel and would recommend a holiday inn over this place. Also vary kid friendly at the point of a couples great getaway you will never find a quiet place to lounge and in joy the day. A 5 year old as we were laying out relived themselves right next to my wife's pool bag (we ended up throwing it away).

We’re staying at the Fontainebleau right now, and the experience has been awful from start to finish. Everything is wildly overpriced, the hotel is severely understaffed, and the iconic “Chateau” building is outdated and absolutely not worth the premium they charge.

The room doesn’t include a usable refrigerator — just a mini-bar that automatically charges you if you move anything, and the hotel wanted $30 per day to bring a basic mini-fridge to the room. When I complained, the staff showed zero interest in helping resolve it. To make it worse, the ice machine on our floor has been broken for our entire stay, so even that wasn’t an option.

Our TV didn’t work for two days until we finally went to the front desk to report it. For a hotel claiming to be luxury, this level of maintenance is shocking.

Food and drinks are absurdly priced: $25 cocktails, $30 cheeseburgers, and a mandatory 20% service fee added to every pool or restaurant order. On Saturday, wait times for food across the entire property were close to an hour. DoorDash was faster, cheaper, and honestly a better experience.

The entire property feels like it’s coasting on its name and reputation alone. There is nothing luxurious here except the prices. Save your money and stay far away.

I am express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Given the reputation of your property and the premium price charged, my experience fell far below acceptable hospitality standards.

From the moment I arrived, I encountered unprofessional and discourteous behavior from staff. Additionally, I was repeatedly provided with inaccurate and misleading information, which only added to my frustration.

The condition of my room was unacceptable. The carpets were visibly stained, the mattress was uneven and lumpy, and the bed linens had an unpleasant odor. The windows were extremely dirty, further contributing to the overall unclean and poorly maintained environment. Basic amenities commonly provided at comparable hotels—such as complimentary bottled water and coffee—were not offered.

Most concerning was the lack of hot water during my stay. I contacted the front desk multiple times to report the issue, yet no maintenance personnel ever arrived. When I followed up again, I was falsely informed that the issue had already been resolved. I explained that I had been in the room all day and that no one had entered. I was then told that maintenance was unable to access the room due to a “Do Not Disturb” sign, which I did not have displayed. When I challenged this explanation, I was told instead that staff had knocked and received no response—another inaccurate statement.

Additionally, at check-in I inquired about extending my stay by one additional night. I was quoted a rate of $700 for the extra night. However, when I checked Expedia at the same time, the same room was available for $325. When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the front desk, the manager stated that the hotel does not honor Expedia pricing because it is a third-party platform. This response was disappointing and further reflected a lack of customer consideration, particularly given the significant price difference.

The combination of poor room conditions, unresolved maintenance issues, misleading communication, and pricing practices made this stay extremely disappointing. For the cost charged, the level of service and accommodation was unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that travelers consider alternative hotels.

I hope management takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate steps to address these issues to prevent similar experiences for future guests.

An unfortunate experience that lacked in all areas. Being classified as a "5 star resort" with 5 star prices is comical. If you're going for a luxurious, hospitable, and stress free vacation (as one would expect at a 5 star resort) I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Maybe I just have high standards, but my expectations were far from met. In terms of service, valet, front desk, and pool staff need improvement. I've seen mixed reviews regarding this resort, but wanted to give it a try anyway. Save your money and time and book somewhere else. Trust me.
Pros: Bleu Bar and food were great. Pool and beach were well kept and enjoyable.
